Hey!
I started a few weeks ago, combining hcg and stillmans, and I followed the April thread and thought I'd jump in for May During June, July, and half of August I'm going to interning at a law firm and it wont be conducive to restrictive dieting, so my plan is to practice a lower carb maintenance and do P90X. Since I've never been below 158, I'm going to try out 145 for a few months to see how I like it, and then in August finish the last 10 lb if I decide I want to. Aleriaaa your success is amazing! What's your meal plan like? |

Yay! Glad to be here for the start of a month.
My goals for this month are to stick to Stillman's with two planned refeed days. The first on the 11th of May and the second on the 25th. On both those days I'll have a cheat meal between the hours of 2pm and 6pm and go right back to Stillman's the next morning for two more weeks. I'll be very happy with losing between 20-25 pounds this month and I believe it'll happen with Stillman's, the two refeeds and daily exercise combined. I'll also take my weight every two weeks on the morning of the planned refeed. Good luck to everybody and can't wait to hear your progress! |

Hi everyone! I'm starting today! Excited and motivated to lose this weight... again (sigh)
Stillman's chick--I like your refeed day plan. My SO's birthday is on the 15th and I'm nervous about how I'm going to deal with it. I may end up taking your approach. |

Stillman's chick I like your refeed day plans too! I'm obsessive with planning things, so this may help me stay on track. I think I will have 3 this month: the 6th and 7th (huge parties those days, probably just a few drinks on the 6th and food and drinks on the 7th) and the 21st for my friends wedding. I'll plan to eat normally during those days and have some cheat foods/drinks at night. The following mornings will be right back to Stillmans.

Why not try it and see how it works for you? If you're not strong willed though and tend to go into tailspins with just a bite of something off plan I wouldn't recommend doing it. I get to understand that lots of people look at refeed day as a free for all pig out which is not what it's supposed to be but rather a structured off day designed to kick your metabolism in the pants by shocking it with much higher levels of carbs and fats than you've had for the last few weeks. I think once one can be steadfast and not let the refeed turn into a gluttonous 24 hour junk food orgy then immediately move back into Stillman's the next day it should work very well. |

I like the idea of it very much and think it would work wonders. I just saw this review of the Stillman's diet on Amazon.... Quote:
The two bold parts stood out for me. 1. This gentleman was able to remove 80 pounds in 3 months. 2. He ate "normally" one day EVERY week! This makes it pretty convincing that taking occasional breaks can work very well with an eating plan like this. I have no interest in taking a day off weekly but every two weeks seems to be a good plan for now. My three month goal is to be at or under 160 by the last day in July, exactly 13 weeks from now. I'm going to try this plan for the month of May and see how it goes. If the losses average out to at least 3.5 pounds a week with the planned refeeds it'll be a keeper. |

A must read for our rookies...... What if It's All Been a Big Fat Lie? - NYTimes.com peeps I gotta get somewhat hardcore for the next three weeks, mummy arrives the 23rd and I really want those eights to fit without a fight...... on the good side I have craploads of meat, no veggies in da house, and no cheese either. Love turkey breakfast sausage but can't do the salt? From the ranch kitchens of CC this morning........ 1 lb. ground turkey (the fatter works better) these measurements are a good start but depending on your taste use more or less...... 2 tbsp. ground fennel seed 2 tbsp. ground sage OR Bell's seasoning 2 tbsp. powdered onion 1 tbsp. Splenda using clean gloves (I hate handling raw meat unless it's sashimi and I'm shoveling it into my mouth) mix the spices well into the meat. On a medium skillet (cast iron is best) shape into patties and brown until cooked through. DELISH! from Mummy's DH, her third ![]() From the BBC by John Cleese / _ANNOUNCEMENT_ The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats and have therefore raised their security level from “Miffed” to “Peeved.” Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to “Irritated” or even “A Bit Cross.” The English have not been “A Bit Cross” since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from “Tiresome” to “A Bloody Nuisance.” The last time the British issued a “Bloody Nuisance” warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada. The Scots have raised their threat level from “Pissed Off” to “Let’s get the Bastards.” They don’t have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years. The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from “Run” to “Hide.” The only two higher levels in France are “Collaborate” and “Surrender.” The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France‘s white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country’s military capability. Italy has increased the alert level from “Shout Loudly and Excitedly” to “Elaborate Military Posturing.” Two more levels remain: “Ineffective Combat Operations” and “Change Sides.” The Germans have increased their alert state from “Disdainful Arrogance” to “Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs.” They also have two higher levels: “Invade a Neighbor” and “Lose.” Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels . The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy. Australia meanwhile has raised its security level from “No worries” to “She’ll be alright, Mate.” Three more escalation levels remain: “Crikey!”, “I think we’ll need to cancel the barbie this weekend”, and “The barbie is canceled.” ![]()

A woman is sitting at home on the veranda with her husband and she says; "I love you."
He asks; "Is that you or the wine talking?" She replies; "It's me .............. talking to the wine." |

Thank you so much!!! This is my second run with Stills, and previously, results were much better! I am all meat, all the way, but nowadays I include fattier cuts like steak, or 83% ground turkey, or ground beef cause I dont mind losing a bit slower. I eat whenever Im hungry, and as much as I want. Some days more, some days less. |

Happy May, everyone! I am down another 1.5 pounds, so my month is starting out great (not to mention the fantastic news last night)! My goal for the next week is to get into the 170's. As long as I am strict with my diet and water intake, and stick with my exercise, I think I can do it. My sister's college graduation and Mother's Day is May 8th, and I want to get a nice dress to wear. I think I'll wait until the 7th to buy one so I can lose as much as possible in the next 5 days! I hope everyone is having a great Monday!
