So, Im thinking I will doo the same for food today..

Al - Congratulations on the loss! I'm loving the plain way. It's calming. Tanya, I'm going to "weigh" in on the whole panic/worry about you from friends and family. First, you look radiantly beautiful, fit and healthy. You should be proud and confident, that's a wonderful thing to be and other women should celebrate, support and love that confidence. I know I do! I think the worry comes from this general fear of RAPID WEIGHT LOSS, we're all so programmed to think it has to be plodding and laborious and SLOW! But, just look at The Biggest Loser, you know they have nutritionists, doctors, etc supervising every move and it's all about rapid weight loss, 3 of the women on the show have lost 100lbs in 4 months. They emphasize the exercise because it's more exciting but it's 75% dietary changes. The most important thing is to get the weight off, that's the healthiest, then figure out maintaining. You were starting from a much lower weight but it still has an impact on your health. You've done your body SOOO GOOD! And I think it was Beth who said, you're going to have to figure out how to maintain whether it takes 2 years or 6 months to lose the weight. So, just smile, you don't have to defend yourself, you've got it covered. Finally, I know we all care about you and are so happy for you. I hope you come back - if not, I'll still toast you on June 4th and want continued happiness and joy for you. You are an inspiration!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

"We will see what my weight looks like , but I don't know what to do
I've been asked to gain , I'm not willing to gain until after the wedding I'll try to stay the same even thoug I want 135 bad If it happens , it happens right ? I Wont try to lose but Im Resdy for maintain So let's see this week" T- I'm hearing your stories about your fiance and his friends giving you grief about the weight loss and it's killing me. When I look back on every decision or change I've made in my life, there has always been some "well meaning" friend or family member telling me why I'm doing the wrong thing and why I should do something different. This not only applied to losing weight, but to moving, to taking a different job, to buying my house, etc. There are two things I remind myself of whenever I get this well meaning but unsolicited advice. #1, no one knows my situation as well as I do. When people give advice, they're giving it based on what they see and they're basing it on their own experiences. Their experiences are not yours, they are not you, and since they're not in a position to know all of the facts of your situation, they're not qualified to give advice. #2 most of the advice people give is meant more to keep things the way they are and not to have anything change. You've lost weight, you look great, you feel great and that might be a change some people aren't ready for. Instead of saying, "you've lost weight and now I'm afraid you won't want to hang out anymore..." or "you've lost weight and now you look better than I do ..." they'll say, "you've lost weight, are you healthy? You should put some back on." At the end of the day, you have to be you. you have to do you. There will ALWAYS be well meaning and well intentioned people trying to feed you nonsense. If you listen and take in everything they say, you will never get anything done. |

I never ever take salt on anything, I really hate it! Even on McDs French fries there's way too much for me, even back in the day when I used to eat there I never had fries!! We never had salt at home as kids so it's stood to me---thankfully!!

Also I think what concern people about QWL-more than other diets is the fact that you have to be so rigid with it. It's not like WW where it's just calorie based and so, yes, you can have some cake or something and then balance that out with eating less later on. With QWL you have to do it 100%. It's the control that unsettled people.

Hi ladies! Just checking in quickly. Tanya, I hope you come back. You are such an important part of our group! I don't think anyone meant to offend you.
![]() Congratulations to everyone who is doing such an awesome job and seeing great results! I'm trying to be very strict today. So far I've had grilled chicken and a hardboiled egg. I wanted to make scrambled eggs, but found that DH boiled ALL THREE DOZEN eggs that were in the fridge. I was so mad when I was heating up my pan and started trying to crack the eggs. ![]() He's doing Atkins, so he likes having egg salad on hand. I'm not a big hardboiled egg fan. I really don't care for them and will only eat them if I HAVE to. Anyway, I'm on plan so far today. Trying to drink lots of water, etc. My weight has been stuck for weeks due to off plan eating here and there. I need to get things moving again! I hope everyone has a wonderful week! |

Okay, so not to beat a dead horse here...
Tanya! Big hug, doll--first off! If I may, I'd like to share something with you... If you can, take yourself out of the situation at hand. Remove yourself emotionally and stand back and observe others motives. Other's successes in life make SOME uncomforable! Yep, that's human nature. Now, once you realize that MOST who are critical and fault finding are truely just holding a mirror of your success in the face of their failure. All that said, YOU HAVE THE POWER TO 'TAKE A BEAT, AND NOT ALLOW THEM TO SABOTOGE YOUR SUCCESS! I do believ your hubby to be has a genuin concern as he hears others fretting, but GIRL, you know the truth. We will always have nay-sayers and people wanting to rob our joy... DON'T give them the time of day.Be strong and in the power of your resolve. Right now, you've been "attacked" in a sense and you're kinda reacting out of that attack. GT, is your buddy as are many here. Don't allow your pain to bite the people who really care and love you. Not a wise choice. But, when we're in pain and worried, we tend to do silly things. You're a success and your success has blessed many here. I believe that as a resoult of you giving to so many here, that you have been given much as well. Don't allow this negativity to pull you away from the love that is given to you here. You mentioned that "you were wondering when you'd have to depart from here..." Obviously, this may be a patter of occurances in your life... IDK, but I say stay and fight it out. Don't be ruled by fear. Basically, all the nay-saying is making you feel like you're not accepted and or loved. You are and your success in this wol will bless many.Chin up, and fight the good fight, T. B P.s. GT, sorry for the 'disertation'! lolol Oh, and I found your "PIC" on the Inet, girl. You really do need to get a day job! lololol ![]()

Why would hubby bring home such a specialty at a time like this?! He will be condemned to boxed zinfandel after what he has done to me!! ![]() ...and I keep talking myself in and out of adding cream in my coffee. Can I get a chicken leg over here with the crispy skin?!?!?!?! talked myself out of that one too..thank goodness...So Im not looking for cakes or quesadillas, just a ribeye or two..![]() Im just complainin peeps..it'll pass. I put a strict plan together here and I gotta stick to it no matter what. It will all be worth it if I see 123 tomorrow. Like the doc says, "Tell yourself everyday to just go one more day." Cool! President Obama was in Ireland today and gave a speech to huge crowds in Dublin-and spoke Irish--Is féidir linn---yes we can!!
They were meant to stay tonight but because stupid Iceland has another volcano spewing ash they had to leave to go on to the UK. Flights are beginning to be cancelled. And Air Force One is huuuuuuuuuuuuge!!! Never knew that either!!! ![]() |
