Chessie,
I do have the dress for the wedding. It is one that I will fit into better once I lose down to 160. But I'm not sure I'm gonna stick with this dress. I'll know soon. But tonight I weighed in at 170,,,,that's down another pound. How are you doing? |

I am so mad!! My mothers 60th birthday party was last night..there was a ton of good food and cakes and desserts and I resisted all night and it was not easy..so I go home and there was a big bowl of m&ms on the table.. and for some reason I ate a few handfuls and then I had a few bites of pizza...WTH ... i think it was so stressful not eating all night I just caved and went crazy..
well of course I was up this morning ... 1.8 pounds are you kidding me??? I didnt think the damage would be that detrimental.. So what should I do??? I know jump right back on Stillmans. .so I was thinking lots of water and maybe chicken and tuna all day. ..this is really going to set my back for the wedding..what the heck was I thinking??? |

I've had one of those days since I started this on April 11. I ate 1600 calories off plan....It did seem to take a few days to recoup. But here's the good news.
![]() Keep going Chessie and don't let that scale scare you. By the way, it may not even be nothing but a refeed for you..... ![]() |

Summer shape-up
Hi! Can I join your group? This diet works! I had a baby in sept. 2010 and lost 55 lbs in 2 months on this diet. I began eating normal in January and have gained about 3 lbs back. I want to go back on the diet to lose those 3 plus 5 more. I love this diet. Once you get past the first couple of days, it is so easy! I never felt hungry and didn't have the cravings I do now. The main downside is the bad breath. I feel motivated to do the diet again, but find myself wanting to eat when I get stressed. I have a 2 year old and 7 month old, so that happens often! I need encouragement!
Good luck to all of you! Once you see the scale going down, you will be so motivated! |

Mind if I join too? I'm at 162 today (lowest since 2004 when I did Crew and Field Hockey and was in the best shape of my life)!! Very excited, but I first got to this weight in Feb of this year and promptly binged back up to 170. Then I lost it back to 162, gained it back...etc etc etc. Literally every two weeks. Bad cycle. But after weighing at 162 this morning I've had no urge to sabotage myself and I'm so excited!
Anyways, hoping to get to 140 by May 21...totally doable from how I see you guys losing! I'm down 4ish pounds in 3 days |

Good to hear Frances that it was just a mild set back... I jumped right back on plan yesterday and I feel great, no hunger or cravings.. but I only lost .4 of the 1.8 I went up...ugggghh.. very frustrating, i know it is just water but still.. the scale sets my mood for the day... 11 pounds in 12 days.. awesome!!! we have 3 full weeks till the wedding..we can get at least 10 off by then..
Welcome Lawgirl and Georgia!!! so glad to get some more people...keep posting everyone.. I look forward to them and they really motivate me. It helps to know we are not the only ones in the world eating tuna and plain chicken!!! |

Hi chessie,
![]() It did take me a few days to start really showing on the scale after the setback. My basic menu looks like this. 1 green superfood drinks,,,about 5 carbs (covers veggies)I drink that anytime during day when hungry or not) then for dinner a lean meat and I throw in some of those jalepeno peppers or those banana pepper in a jar. They really add alot of fun to the food without the carbs. There is 1 carb per one ounce. Last night I was tempted with the thoughts of chocolate and nuts. But it was not a dire hunger mostly mental temptation. I kept remembering the goal and that it takes days to regain the lost ground and we don't have alot of recovery time with a May 14 deadline! ![]()

Wow it'stime you're eating way fewer calories than I am! Are you also watching cals? Or have you had to decrease your calories since starting to keep the weight melting off? I don't count calories (and don't want to, except maybe in maintenance!) but I'd imagine I eat around 1000/day.

Hi guys,
Mind if I join you? I'm starting on Monday. I am going overseas May 14th and want to lose as much weight as possible before I go. My starting weight is about 175-180. I honestly don't want to weight myself right now, but I know it's in that range. Are you guys doing the quick weight loss diet? If so, are you eating the cottage cheese? For some reason I feel like like eating cottage cheese would slow things down. Anyway, I'm looking forward to starting! |

Welcome Al1114,
![]() ![]() ![]() It looks like May 14th is a big date for alot of people. I am trying to avoid cheese for this brief period of time. I think it will slow things down. But today I went out to eat with DD on our shopping for the wedding day and ate veggies and cheese (oops)! I hope it goes well tomorrow. But I avoided the big carbs.Hi Lawgirl, Well today I didn't count calories,,,,,but overall I'm just ballparking them and trying to keep them low. I don't actually weigh all meat. The short timeframe I have to go,,,,I may need to keep some days lower. ![]() |

Frances, thanks so much for the info, I am looking into it..how does it taste?? and what do you mix it with??
Well I am down....drum roll..... 1.6 pounds... .2 below my weight before the M&M fiasco.. so finally back into losing mode.... everyone learn from me... the 30 seconds it took to eat them was not worth 3 days lost on the scale.. I am not counting calories either.. but if I count them I rarely go over 700.. just because I do not feel like eating.. I am thinking I should force myself because I dont want to get into the whole starvation thing.. but I guess as long as it is short term...after the 14th my plan is to go back to eating veggies and some cheese..I know the weight loss will slow down but that is o.k.. hopefully I will only need to lose about 10 more.. Any other weigh ins today??? |

Welcome Al1114! I've never been a fan of cottage cheese, but I do have a piece (or two) of those cheddar snack size, individually wrapped cheeses a day. So far I've been losing nicely with them (I also exercise almost every day) so I eat them as a pre- or post-workout snack.
Nice weigh in chessie! Don't you just love huge overnight drops? I'm weighing in today at 159.8. Barely into the 150s but I'm excited nonetheless. I opened my reward Burberry perfume as soon as I stepped off of the scale Happy Easter to those who celebrate! |

Happy Easter,
![]() ![]() Jesus![]() ![]() ![]() Congratulation Chessie, ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() and it's my turn to be punished for going off plan. two pound up this morning, but yesterday i only ate cheese and veggies and more calories than normal due to the mexican restaurant. I made it through the night and several times I wanted to invade the candy stash for the wedding chocolate bar. So I hope because I didnt' carb it up, that i won't need 3 days to make a comeback. These results could prove interesting for future screw ups! Starting on Monday is smart Al1114! Lawgirl and big congratulation to you on breaking the 160 ![]() ![]() ![]() barrier![]() :high 5:![]() and congrats on the perfume. Chessie we have our may 14 date to shoot for but if you have any weight to lose after that maybe try the treat motivation......I like that too. In days of old all my treat motivation was food,,,,now I must rethink treats! ![]() |

I'm up 2.2 lb this morning to 162! I didn't eat anything off plan, but I was starving all day yesterday and ate more than usual. I'm trying not to freak out or be too concerned, but every time I see the scale jump even when I'm been eating correctly, my first instinct is to eat everything in sight (in anger).
Hope everyone else's weigh in goes well! |

Oh Frances, if we were together last night we would have had a blast..cause I was eating cookies and Easter Candy...
it was the same thing as last week. I was sooo good during a party..not one cheat or taste. I got home and I went nuts...I guess I get so stressed at parties I handle it at home..oh well another refeed for us!!! but my last hiatus only cost me 2 days..so I am hoping for the same, that means on Wednesday I should be losing again. One thing that is positive I dont have any problems jumping back on to Stillmans, so today has been easy so far. I actually went to the gym at 5:30 this morning and worked out for an hour. so hopefully that will speed things up. So, no more holidays Thank God... no more slip ups for us!!!! |

for some reason I dont feel any guilt either...LOL.. guess we needed some food!! I am feeling good today and I wont be weighing in until the weekend..If I can resist..I plan on going to the gym early every day this week and my early weigh ins I am about a pound more than when I weigh in at 7...and I cant mentally see a gain..and it will be like Christmas morning if I wait till the weekend.

That sounds like a good idea, but I'd have to hide my scale. As a matter of fact, I'd have to have someone else hid it for me. I'm too curious!

You guys are inspiring me. I did Stillmans about 4 years ago and I was pretty weak at sticking to it. I plan to take it nice and easy in my mind and just get it over with physically....like ripping of a bandaid |
