Good Afternoon,
Love the new avatars GT and Al!!! Umm hardbolied eggs..Al, I usually eat 2-3 per day unless I'm truly annoyed with them..Probably 2 for breakfast with turkey bacon..I think the best combo with hard boiled is with mustard a little AS and a can of tuna with some seasoning of your choice..This is a good combo..My little niece colored a few eggs on Saturday night after the Easter Egg Hunt..Thank goodness they are at Her house and not at my appt.. Congrats Amelie on going back to plan..You know, this lifestyle is relatively easy to stick to after the first few days of adjustment...I started in the middle of March (remember I am former adkins so eliminating veggies wasn't that big of a deal) and didn't eating anything off plan until yesterday..Of course my little indiscretion was controlled, but it is definately possible to do until goal...I got these frozen chicken strips at Target...Very affordable and had some seasoned for breakfast this morning and made enough to take some to work for lunch..They are in the microwave at the moment..If you stick to plan, an indiscretion will not be that bad..Anyway, glad you are back and we are looking forward to listening to you and hearing about your journey...Gotta Run..My food is done and work isn't... |

Hi Everyone!
I've been reading a little here and there...I apologize for not posting...I'm trying to get back to eating the way I ate when I was losing. For about 3 or 4 weeks...I ate carby foods on the weekend...I was so close to the 140's before that...but now I'm 156... Looking back, my cravings really seemed to get stronger when I added a few things to my diet... cheese, nuts (peanuts, almonds, even sunflower seeds) and nut butters...they are NOT my friends! Maybe I can handle them when I'm not trying to lose...but they really did a number on my cravings. I'm back to meat...eggs...boring, safe foods... Much love to you all!!! |

Hello gentle folks! Mind if I join the party?
I'm starting Stillman's tomorrow morning. I currently weigh 210 pounds and would eventually like to get down to 155 and maintain between 150-160 pounds. I'm 30 years young and 5' 7". To start off I'll go till the end of May and see where I am at that point then reassess and make a new goal. My goal for the next 5 weeks is to shave off 25 pounds and I think that's possible if I am strict with the program and also do 30 minutes of exercise daily. You ladies (and any gents lurking) are fantastic and an inspiration. I've been gearing up my mind to just deal with plain ole chicken and eggs for a while. I'm highly motivated and ready to shift this weight. I'm giving myself 6 months to get this 55-60 pounds off and hopefully Stillman's will give me a good head start. |

Oh AL, I just can't give up my cream....it's what gets me through a craving quite often!! But I will try to be more accountable...because when I was losing the best I was eating the cleanest AND participating daily on this wonderful thread!!
Thanks Doc, I appreciate those encouraging words! You're stats are really inspiring to me. I love to read your writings too! I'm so impressed with everyone's losses. It's really helped me to get my focus back on my goal. I really want to see those 140's!! Ican, you will be in Onederland before you know it!!! We are going to ROCK the house when that happens!! Good for you for not going crazy with the nuts. I can't handle nuts right now! Welcome SC!! You are going to do great here!! GT, you could probably write your own book about your journey...I'd love to read it!! Hey CC! I love your quotes and juicy tidbits you throw out...good stuff!! |

Had an okay day today, ate at really weird times which I dont like to do, I like to be on my normal structured eating schedule, but tommorow I will be back on my proper timing, plus some exercise!
Just glad to be at 145, I thought I would NEVER see that number again I have had people FINALLY start coming up to me and tell me that I appear to be "losing weight".. I am like, um yeah, I am down 15 lbs and of course they want me to detail what I am doing! I am thinking, well I would love to tell you but you cant handle this program baby! ok ok , so I do tell them, but I always get the same response. One of my coworkers is trying to mimic my program and today I saw her eating spaghetti with meat sauce at lunch and I didnt even say a word. she looked at me, frightened, like I was the diet ****! lol. I just said, hello, and went to heat up my chicken breast and mustard! I already told her what works, if she wont do it, its no sweat off my back ! lol Due to reading my stillman QWL cookbook I found out about this butter and cheese flavored seasoning salt. There is not fat, or carb or sugar, and its gives your food the flavor of having cheese on it or butter topping. I have tried it a few times and its freaking delicious. I made an egg white omelet for dinner and put a little turkey bacon bits in there plus the "cheese"...yummy. I felt like I was cheating but I wasnt. I am very happy about my fake cheese and butter seasoning! I kept looking at the label to make SURE it was Stillman approved and it is, plus he specifically mentions it in his cookbook so it cant be bad! There are still calories in the mix so I cant go nuts but a sprinkle here or there can turn a whole recipe around. I am very excited about this find !woo hoo. I love turkey bacon too. I have 4 slices every morning for breakfast! I was worried at first that bacon would affect my loss, but it hasnt! not one bit. I have my 4 slices plus my boiled egg and literally I am STUFFED! I feel so good that I am not feeling hungry anymore, and my appetite is going down SO LOW. I eat one turkey burger with mustard and I can hardly get to the end of it... The stillman cookbook shows how to make a quich using fat free bacon bits, and the fake cheese, I just made it. oh yum-o! so freaking good. There is some cottage cheese in there, but I cut the amount into 1/3. I eat cottage cheese every now and then, and it hasnt stalled me, plus its in Stillmans book. I go by what he says! I dont over do it but just a bit here and there makes a world of difference oh and I also have sugar free jello every day. I noticed that some people cut it and all of that, but every day since I started Stills I have eaten jello and it has had no negative effect. And cheese too. I eat the mozzerella cheese sticks for snack, stillman approved according to his book. I have eaten exactly what stillman says and I have lost 15 lbs in 25 days. That is SO awesome. I am going to keep going. I just cooked some chicken tenderloins with lemon pepper seasoning, and I think I made enough to last me the next few days for lunch, so I can give my tuna a little break! My goal is to lose 2 lbs this, so we will see Today at work I work an outfit I havent worn in a while, and I noticed I got more comment on my weight loss... I can't believe I am even saying this but the pants were a size 4... I love STILLMANS!!! and I love you Guys for being so supportive and giving great advice. -Tanya |

I never knew Stills allowed mozzerella-i loooove the stuff but it is really high in fat and cals---but hey if he says it's ok!!!!! I'm reckoning the mozz sticks are not the breaded ones in McDees tho!!!!
I wonder do we have the weird fake cheese seasoning-that would be handy! And I just bought a packet of sugar free strawberry jello yesterday, was gonna have it with low fat natural yoghurt (i do eat yoghurt from time to time) WTG on the size 4pants!!! |
