Good Morning! hi cc girl, come on now give me a break I just got here and you have me leaving down the road. If this works as will as it has for so many of you then I will be using QWL for the rest of my life to maintain even after I reach my goal. I'm not saying that I won't be MIA from time to time but I will always be back. I have never signed on to a forum before, but I signed on to this one. That should say something.

MsGirl, good luck with traveling...I know that is a challenge. I love the seasoned almonds you can buy...but I do have control issues. Maybe sunflower seeds?? They take so long to eat...coffee...it's hard.
I agree with CC...you made some good choices in a hard circumstance. You didn't have a carbfest or binge!! That's a great sign! Mar, I know when we have friends or loved ones who are so unhappy with their present state...and if they could just get rid of these carbs...it would help them SO much...we want to share with them our secret. It seems it almost never works to try and convince...just hope they see the light by your good example... GT, those dough balls sound wonderful! I'm not sure I could have passed them up! Congrats for just having one! AL, your son cracked me up with the Tangled Review!! I love it! Momtocj, I think you will be pleasantly suprised at how well Stillman't can rekindle the weight loss!! Congratulations to a wonderful loss...what a great thing you've done for yourself!! : ) icandoit, I'm in with you on the April challenge!! yay!! What we can do it!! Cat & anniebell, congrats on a great loss!!!! I've rarely ever had more that a pound loss overnight...that is quite exciting!! Well folks...my scale was up a pound...but I'm chalking it up to ovulation time...between that and TOM it seems one good week of losing is pretty normal some months! Hopefully I'll see those 140's soon!! |

Drum roll please! I really started yesterday, because I cheated a little my 1st day. This morning I was down 3lbs. That's in one day, I've never done that before on any diet. I am sure it might not be a big to all of you who have loss so much and it might just be water, but I have a big smile on my face anyway. I can't wait to get on the scale in the morning and see what it says. Happy lossing to all!

I feel like I should clarify about my best friend I have never pushed her to do anything, what I was trying to say is that if you want ppl to see that low carb is good then you just have to be patient because although ppl may be naysayers at first, once they see your results and that you are healthier not just skinnier they will realize its not as bad as they always thoought or as bad as media made it out to be a few years back.
She is doing pretty good so far too, but its hard for her because all her BF eats are carbs and he's a stick! My ex was that way too so frustrating for us wgo have to actually watch what we eat lol |

Good Afternoon Everyone,
So many people are having great success. I am officially 150 exactly so that is good. I'm hoping for the 140's in the near future (like this week, hopefully). I made crepes this morning with eggbeaters, splenda and cinnamon along with a few slices of extralean turkey bacon. Excellent! I've never made crepes and I was pleasantly surprIsed. I think this will be a tuna/mustard day today. Have a great day and I am wishing you all great success |

Wow! Lots to respond to!
First, let me say - all of my water - over 100 ounces plain water and then 3+ cups of hot green tea - and I didn't gain from yesterday - I am back to 148.0 Thank goodness!!!Psycdoc - you will be there in no time!!! GT - Have fun with your mom - those times are irreplaceable! AL - Tuna packets are probably the best bet - I have got to get over the smell in public ![]() ![]() TeamLeo - we won't be in the hotel room long enough for me to make eggs, etc. Plus, I am limited in my luggage space so I probably won't be cooking in the room so much. CC - Thanks for the ideas - maybe I just need to stick with meat (regardless of the fat content). We will see - I am really trying to make good choices and avoid a gain if at all possible. Time will tell ![]() Coco - Congrats on that awesome weight loss already becky - sunflower seeds may be a good option too - they do take a while to eat and help with the grazing issues I have ![]() Cat - Congrats on your weight loss!!!!! Mar922 - Keep up the good work! I candoit - I may be up to that one!!! But, April is full of surprises! We are just a bunch of losers!!!! I hope I didn't miss anyone - if I did - I will check back in a few and respond! Here's to HUMPDAY!!! |

I have been dizzy all day, I don't know why as I have eaten the same things I eat everyday, maybe I need to switch it up and have some turkey instead of chicken or add some fat? I don't know whats going on today.

Mar922, you could also try eating several smaller meals to help keep your blood sugar more steady. I am not weighing until next Tuesday morning as that will have been 7 days on plan and my TOM will be gone by then as well. Hopefully I will be past my all time low of 182.8 and the stall will be broken. Right now, I feel like a bloated cow, lol.
Today I had scrambled eggs with a tbsp sugar free ketchup for breakfast and black coffee with liquid splenda. Extra lean ground beef cooked with homemade taco seasoning and some fat free cheese sprinkled on top and a sugar free jello for lunch. Gonna have lemon pepper shrimp for dinner |

mar922 - I was dizzy on Monday - I did eat something and it helped. I tried adding cottage cheese again and that also seemed to help. Not sure why - but it did make me feel a little better!

Wow everyone..Such great ideas on this thread..I am so happy I decided to join and no longer lurk.
Al- Do u ever dream ground turkey? U are sooo disciplined. WTG!!!!Adding cumin makes me think of curry and I love me some curry MS-Thanks for your vote of confidence..You R certainly doing a great job!!Congrats on the decrease ICDI-Count me in..I love challenges! Your success is awesome..You R a bit taller than me but 120lbs!!I don't think that is ever in my future, but WTG!! CoCo, AB and Cyone-Great Menus...I just wish I could eat that cheese that u are munching on Cyone, but I am always scared that my progress will be reversed with certain things..But what works for u is awesome..In a former life (pre-LC) La Vache qui Rie was my favorite and yarlsbourgh as well, but I haven't consumed them for such a long time..I will taste vicariously through you.. Becky--I stared Atkin's Jan 2 2010 and lost the first 65lbs by May with that lifestyle change and walking and hit a plateau..I quickly began walking and jogging and then just jogging and lost enough to reach 161 by the end of October..I then sat at that weight through the holidays and up until a few weeks ago to make sure I could maintain and I did..I haven't went up or down but just maintained juggling between 158 and 161..I then decide to lose the rest because of my success at maintaining and here I am..I needed something a little more drastic and more strict since I am a little bit obsessive with the scale and putting foods in my mouth and Stillman's is quite compatible with Atkin's but I just don't eat certain things which is ok..I do miss my smoked almonds desperately and my cheeses, but I am a rather regimented individual and sort of hit my stride if I put forth the effort most times..Well, I am here at 150 so hopefully I can achieve my goal and maintain it with success..I glean from all the information and positivity that u all display to eat other and appreciate the kindness and motivation that u all express to one another..So kind and very genuine..I am also about to have an even more regimented life in a couple of moths, so getting this under control is both a win for me health wise and in my career where I am counted on to give advice and help with what I call 'mindful organization'..I hope I have answered ur question BBP-Congrats CC-As always, wonderful advice to everyone..After lurking here for so long, it is a wonderful thing when I see ur posts.. So after disclosing my almond fetish and since I haven't eaten any for awhile, I am craving some peanut kind of something..I saw your 'true confessions' Mar and Becky and I was wondering if you have even tried Walden Farm's Peanut Butter? No carbs, no fat no calories..I am mulling orfering some because it is the only alternative with no carbs/calories..What do you or anyone think? Ok, I have made this long enough..Take care all and Good luck |
