i think my hunger has gone up slightly in the last 4months but before that none! Thanks! Yeah all with Stillmans! At the beginning I did the 14day plan, the one with a small amount of veggies, and even now when I can't stand plain tuna anymore I eat some salad-i like the crunch! You'll do well on Stills, you don't have that much to lose! |

Not gonna lie- I had a genuine off-plan day. My anxiety was through the roof, and I suspect a hormone fluctuation might be the culprit.
The only thing I can say for myself is that I didn't touch the two big no-no's (at least in my book): I didn't eat anything with sugar or gluten. I went a little crazy with just about everything else though, and I ate so much that I'm now very uncomfortably stuffed. Instead of beating myself up like I normally do (which would inevitably lead to another bad day tomorrow and maybe going off-plan entirely), I am doing something different. This time around,I accept that I am human, and that is OK. It's not like I took four steps back- this is only one small set back. Today has not erased three weeks of good low carbing and daily exercise. I am going to get up early tomorrow, just like I have been, and I'm going to get on that treadmill. I will counteract my actions today by attempting to fast tomorrow. If I feel like I am incapable of fasting completely, I will do an egg fast. I am going to purposely fuzz my brain if I try to think of all I consumed today- that way I will forget this set back easier and I will move on. Maybe this is a good thing- there is a lesson here for me. It involves acting with more maturity when things don't go as planned. It's a time for me to break away from black and white thinking. I'm sorry if I'm bringing anyone down with my struggles recently. I honestly don't want to trigger anyone... |

to you, emky and everyone else having a hard time with this!!! I dont always have the right words when times are tough. Dont beat yourself up and get right back on. (Good for you for handling it this way!! )Thats all we can do in times like this! We all seem to slip from time to time because QWL is so darn tough! No question about it. There isn't a stricter diet out there. But I know we can do this!!! If quick results are what we want, it does have to be followed exactly, but if we're happy just losing at slower pace, there are so many other low carb options. So either way we're in good shape. Congrats to you for staying away from the sugar! It could have been so much worse had you gone there. So, Stillmans sets me up for an all or nothing, because basically anything I eat that is not lean meat, triggers the cheat mentality. I blew it for the day. Ive been struggling with this for months!! very hard to get back on, and I hate that I keep putting myself through those first few horrible days over and over again. Its quite stupid of me!! All I can say is we need to get a week under our belts of QWL, no matter what, and the miracle will take place. We need to eat as much meat as we want. If that means 2 or 3 pounds of turkey, then we need to go at it!! On this diet all that turkey or chicken or tuna will work better than one bite of an apple or a carrot or whatever other non-meat item crosses our path. If we're hungry eat meat, if we're bored, eat meat, it our mouths just want to get a workout and chew, eat meat. emky- Is it tough for you to prep ahead in your house? Can you cook up a tray of chicken breast and a couple pounds of ground turkey? Everytime I felt like eating (hungry or not) I would just pull something from my stash and eat it up! If you like tuna, open up a few cans and keep it in the fridge. Have the food ready to go on a moments notice and stuff yourself silly. Beleive me you will get to a point, very quickly, where you wont be able to put anohter bite in. Carbs dont work this way. Seems like theres always room for more. But eat 3 chicken breasts and you will be done with that kitchen for hours and hours! Im talking too much now, but I totally believe in the power of meat. Im addicted to carbs in any form and in order to be successful and get the results I want, I know they have to go. (even my precious crystal light )Im not posting a lot, and Im sorry peeps. Im doin my meat thing and I am losing. Im getting rid of the cravings and not cheating on carbs by keeping the fat up at the moment, but once I get a better grip, I will be going back to lean to get rid of my chub immediately!!! Its February and I will not let myself hide behind t-shirts at the pool this summer. I hope I still have enough time to get it done!!! I have enough time, right?? ![]() |

Granted I was carbed up but still, I have never had a loss like that before! I was a little hungry when I went to bed last night but nothing sounded good so I just didn't eat. Menu today? I am not sure, I'll just grab what sounds good at the moment. Yesterday foods: shrimp, lean beef, eggs, and canadian bacon seemed to work well. ![]() |
