Hi everyone. So I have been a long time lurker lol...I have tried stillmans a few times and lose about 5-8lbs each try, then binge like crazy on anything with carbs. I have to be fit by this summer and I also have a very exciting weekend planned the first week of march that i want to feel fabulous by. So I have come up with a plan that I think will help me get to my goals with out bingeing! Each week I will do a few days of stillmans, and on the off days I will eat a low calorie, whole foods type diet. In the past ive noticed that after a few days zero carb then one day with carbs the scale still drops, if i dont over do the carbs lol. I think that posting my progress and reading everyone elses encouraging posts will keep me on track.

The first time I did Stillmans in the fall, I lost 15 lbs in about 6 weeks. Yeah.

At least this morning the scale read 125.0

That's better than normal.
Congrats on the new low number emky!!! I sure hope I can prove this theory wrong. I have cheated my weigh to an ubsurd number and I kept on cheating knowing I could get it off quick.. boy that was dumb...dumb...dumb..dumb...

WELCOME Kate! Hop on board and experience the best! Glad you turned from a lurker into a contributor!

emky, I would love to be 140! That is my goal at this time. This morning I was 148 and am 5'9. I did okay, could have done better today, but trampolined for 30 minutes! I didn't sleep well last night at all and this wears me down as far as my resolve.

Coast2coastam has a boring show tonight, so I should be able to get some shut eye... It really does make a difference.

Now that I rebounded for 30 minutes I can go back to my novel without an aggravating conscience!

Sleep tight!

Morning!!!!!

So yesterday, I had a bowl of ground turkey, an egg and a steak.

Today, Im shooting for tuna, and another steak.

Coffee and cream, unfortunately....

Gonna try to keep my portions in check though. Hopefully that will bring better results.

Eureka!

I have found the answer to my problem!

Today I am 123.2 lbs. I checked three times- the scale is reading correctly. My ketone strip turned the darkest shade possible this morning, even after having a couple of low carb beers last night. So what have I been doing differently the last two days? NOT EATING DINNER. *That* is the key for me. I have finally found the missing link!

Screw you, fat, you're doomed now!!

Al - Tuna right from a can? You are all woman! I can't do that! LOL I stay away from tuna. This is actually a great WOE for me. I either can't eat or don't care for any of the allowable foods, so I don't eat much!

Emky - I'm so glad you found the key to Whoosh Fairy's room! I hope it works!

Saw fotos today that were taken at work. Peeps, I did not look good. Thin-yeah, fairly but no way good. My face is so guant looking. There's even a huge difference between now and the Summer. And uh, my chest bones. I just don't get it. I don't see it, I don't feel it. Yet I tried on a skirt the other day in a 4 and it was way too big-and surprisingly I didn't feel that great about it. I just feel huge most of the time, even though I know in my head that realistically I can't be. I haven't been exactely great about food in the last week or so-old demons raising their ugly heads. Today was the first day I got a grip on it again. On the upside I think I'm probably losing weight because my clothes are loser, but I don't want to weigh. The scales are in the cellar anyway. I did the string test today-where you guess your measurements with string, then measure, and see the difference. I overestimated my hips by 31ins (not kidding)and my waist by 14. And when I looked at the string in the real measurements I just couldn't get how "small" they actually were, like that I don't take up as much room as I thought. It's just not what I see when I look in the mirror. Sorry for venting. I just have to get a grip on this.

^^^What you're stating has alarm bells going off in my head. That kind of body dysmorphia can be dangerous. I'm not sure what more to say than that...

Getting There: I agree with you wholeheartedly... you do need to get a grip on what your body really is, and has, gone through. It does sound like you are body dysmorphic and teetering on a dangerous way of handling your eating. I don't want to sound scarey at all, but if you can, you might get assessed from a professional to see if something dangerous may be starting to occur.

I looked at your stats, at 5'6 and 125 it sounds like you are pefect... in fact a bit lower than perfect...right where you are!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We are here to support each other, and you are allowing us to do just that... thank you...

Consider maintaining for awhile to readjust emotionally and cognitively.

GT.. I can't help it. . but I just have to comment. .you have always been in my thoughts. . and I think you are way too hard on yourself. .. you are taller than me and my goal weight is higher than what you weigh now! I am positive you look great and you should really think about trying maintenance. .
You need to make peace with your body and love you for you! YOu have so many wonderful qualities and I can just tell that you are a wonderful person. Give yourself a huge hug and please, please . . remember that you are Great!!! give yourself another huge hug. . and then hug yourself again. . You've done great. .you're doing great and you will continue to do great!!!
