Morning, Al! I was happy to see your shy Avi on board. . O My Goodness! I think your Avi is great. . and I see you graduated to Blabbermouth! When did that happen? Wow. .considering we've both been doing this since July of 2009 (can you believe it?). . . I guess it's to be expected.

My goal this week is to get my portion sizes under control and stick to plan. .haven't weighed in for 2 weeks and I feel lost. . I'm not going to, either. . I'll just put on my big girl panties and face the music on Thursday. . That gives me almost a week to undo some of the damage. . Errgg. why do I keep doing that? O. .well. . the past is the past. . time to move forward. .

Oh Gosh, did I eat some pancakes last night/this morning!!! They were really good...

But, I had a ribeye when I got up...so I'm trying to get back on the wagon.

I guess I'll change my stats to reflect my NY eve indulgence...but hopefully I can lower them soon.

Pancakes aren't the only thing I ate...

I don't hate myself for it, but I know I can't do that two days in a row...I know where that would take me.

Thanks for the new thread...We had tornados around us last night. And after the New Year's Eve church service, my hubby was taking the trash out and he slipped and fell...landed on his back. he came in the church all muddy and dazed...

I'm very thankful to be starting out this year knowing that could have ended much differently....

I'll BBL!

WOE: Stillman's for now
Yay, January is here! After a crazy 2 weeks of total non LC madness, I got a carb hangover and have been doing meat & eggs for 3 days in preparation.

Tomorrow I go grocery shopping for eggs to hardboil, shrimp, canned tuna, and turkey burgers. Usually I take my coffee with lots of cream, but I'm going to learn to like it with just sweetener, and I'm going to carry around packets of stevia in my purse. (I've tried to get myself to like the taste of black coffee, but I just can't do it!)

I've been taking a flavored sugarfree fiber powder supplement because it makes me feel full...I wonder if that's going to slow down my weight loss???

I am SO EXCITED that I only have to do this crash diet once in my life, and then I can transition into Atkins and eventually eat Atkins maintenance for the rest of my life. It's going to be so much easier to maintain a low weight than it has been to try to lose weight slowly on a moderate plan. I've lost weight before, and it was so hard to motivate myself to keep going because it happened at a snail's pace.

Aside from getting to goal weight, I'm also excited for the fact that in a couple of months from now, I can eat maintenance style, and not be so food obsessed.

When I was regular LC'ing and not losing weight fast enough, it was hard to defend the LC diet because I was still overweight. But in a couple of months from now, I'll be at a healthy weight, eating a variety of low carb foods, and if anyone questions my diet, I can tell them that LC is how I got to, and how I maintain my healthy weight.

My weight is somewhere between 150-160lbs. My goal is 111-117 lbs by spring. I look forward to reaching our goals together.

Good luck everybody!

I just took about 9 trashbags full of clothes anywhere from sizes 14 - 18...to the church for the ladies to go through. I have some 12's that are too big...I will take them up there when I get in the 140's.
That is really me making a statement that I am NOT going to gain that weight back! Leaves me feeling a little shaky!!!

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope it was a good one for all of you!

I've managed to stay on track through the holidays. I'm proud to say, I've not had any cheats. I ate plenty of delicious meat and even stopped to buy some pepperoni and cheese to bring to my in-laws so I would have something to snack on when everyone else was eating the sweets.

We returned Thursday from visiting our families and I'm excited to think that the next time we visit them (in a few months), I'll have shrunk!

I haven't weighed since last week because TOM for me just started 2 days ago and I know it'll skew the numbers up a bit and I don't want to get discouraged.

I've not been doing strict Stillman's, but have definitely been very low carb the last week (had some broccoli and some salad and cooked my steak in butter). I'd love to be able to do strict stillmans for a while though. I think I'll give it a shot. I have lots of meat in my freezer, just have to find some interesting ways of preparing it.

I'm heading back to the gym in 2 weeks and can't wait! I had my 4th C-section a few months ago and had to get the OK to start back to working with a personal trainer again. I hope 2011 is a great year for all of us and that we all meet our weight loss goals!

Blessings to all of you and wishes for a healthy and happy 2011!!

Colleen

Colleen, Wow!! Congrats for making it through the holidays cheat free!! That's fantastic!!!

What a wonderful way to start of this new year!

Melinda! Welcome, welcome, welcome!! Your stats are AMAZING! I'd love to hear all about your journey! We all learn so much from each other and I'm sure your story will inspire us all!

Well folks, for Spiritual reasons I am going to turn off the internet for a week (if I can make it that long! haha)

I'm going to be doing some food fasting too...just trying to regain focus and plug into spending time seeking God and shake some "stuff" off.

I haven't fasted food in a long time and I'm a little nervous about it...usually thinking about fasting makes me want to eat carbs big time!

If I don't sign on before then, I'll be back next Sunday night. I know you will all be steady, ketosis-ing...and in the zone!!! I just hope fasting doesn't make me binge. Everyone at church is supposed to start the fast after lunch tomorrow...and there's a part of me that says, "eat whatever you want since it'll be your last meal for a few days..."...but then there's another part that says, "don't binge before starting your fast..." so I'm not sure which side will win!

I've been really good today...2 big ole slabs of ribeye and 2 cups of coffee w/cream & SF davinci's.

I'll check in before I leave for church in the morning...

You are welcome here doing Atkins! IM has done WW...and I do more animal fat than Stillman's says to do...

We all encourage each other to stick with whatever works best for us! But, if I get stuck, I know I can look at AL's signature and see the basic rules of Stillmans. So simple...and so effective!

THanks so much Melinda! This is the first time I've joined a thread and really kept up and posted regularly. I've been on LCF a mighty long time but this is the first time I've joined a group. Boy, has it made a difference!!

I hope you like it here too! Posting regularly has helped me remember how good LC is for me.

Hi crazy!!! Thanks for stopping in! I sure do hope we can convince you to stay!!! What a remarkable loss!

I personally cant do an egg fast because I can eat waaaaaayyy too many of them. I dont really like what they do to my stomach either. Ever tried a meat fast? Now thats right up my alley!
