It's really annoying, I can't watch any kind of TV on the iPad. Any of the 'players' or my Slingbox, which I use to get my TV from home. Have to use the laptop.

I thought it was going to be disgusting too, but it wasn't! My sister (who doesn't low carb at all) even thought it was good! I didn't tell her what was in it though!

This is what I did: put 2 eggs (yolks and all) in a blender, added a tablespoon of vanilla extract (I like a LOT of flavor in my stuff!), and 5 drops of liquid sucralose. I set the machine on high and pressed the 'liquify' button until the egg mix was kinda foamy (about 20-30 seconds).

I then poured in one mug-full of freshly brewed coffee and blended for another 20 seconds.

The result is foamy and not eggy! Quite tasty, actually.

I'm on day 6! Only one more day until a week of Stillmans has passed. Yippie!

I will find out what I weigh when I see my shrink on Friday. I didn't look at the scale the last time I visted her (about 3 weeks ago), but I think I'll sneak a peak this time. Even if it's bad, I'll know that it was probably 5 lbs worse the last time I saw her. What the hell, I'll take a guess: I predict I will be 128 lbs. That is crap considering my goal weight is 110, but better than 130+. It would mean I'd have under 20 lbs to lose, and that is a good thing (I guess).

I did 30 minutes on the treadmill again today, unprompted. Go me!

Menu so far:

Turkey patty
Sliced ham
3 deviled eggs
2 egg white meringue

...and 2 cups of green tea too. I've also plowed through 2/3 of my jug-o-water.

Keep going everyone! We are gonna look HOT soon!!!

And I thought, "Really?!?!"

I used to think certain grains had their merit and value...but after reading Why We Get Fat...they don't really seem to do ANYTHING good for my body. To be THAT attached to a FOOD???

Giving up starches, breads, carbs...small price to pay to feel FABULOUS!!!
O Becky too true! And once you find out thet we were NEVER meant to eat grain it all makes so much sense. At least to me. Rver known someone who is a celiac? I had a coworker who went from doc to doc for almost ten years before someone figured it out. When she cut out gluten she started losing immediately, her body and back pain went away, skin cleared up.

I don't think it's a case of being attatched to carbs, I think it's a case of being addicted to them.
Also when you've heard so long that LF is the way to go(and that usually always means high carbs) then I think LC, or at least the QWL, which really has no carbs, is a very strange way of eating.
For me personally, I don't actually feel ever good on QWL, I do think I need some carbs, by which I mean veg(Taubes or someone will prob say no-just suck it up!) but honestly if I eat some salad or veggies, and I do that for a few days, the energy I have is unbelievable. I'm nearly always dizzy on QWL.
It's strange!
Well said!I think you got that so spot on!Potassium doesn't help the dizzies?

today's catch will now be featuring my latest acquisitions of my addictions and love of fashion porn....I will attempt to capture the true image of my latest conquests.

And make no mistake, like IM2, I scrounge grocery money, coupons and deals to set aside the funds for these. My message here is that, thanks to my LC friends and the good doctor Stillman I actually love myself now enough to be a fashionista, or at least try to be a well heeled redneck girl. God Bless Gretchen Wilson

Girl who is totally sexy. She has a truck and it's bad ass. All the guys want her but she only likes rednecck boys. She loves country music...'

only in my country dreams.......but a gal has to have dreams, no?

Unfortunately, I scoured the net to find a true representation of the Jessica Simpson hidden platform SvetlanaX bootie but could only find the image of the Minas boot. It's close but not correct.

I have sent the image to the Goddess of Good Taste (Mom) but they must have had an engagement, I haven't heard from her.

Oooh I have ankle boots just like that!! (They're everywhere here) Well not just as high, I reckon, but they have a platform! I wear them for everyday and I live in a town with cobbled streets and little hills so high spindly heels-nope! Not wearing anything remotely like them today tho-it's snowing.

RI is River Island-a british clothes store-we have them too!
I know what you mean about thanking Dr. Stillman for turning you into a fashionista! I thank him every day that I can actually go into any store I want and pick up anything off the rack! That's why I will never hear anything bad about LC!!

Holy ****! Cool family. May I ask what the title of the piece is? I'm super curious!!

So, day 7 it is. It was busy, went well, but now I'm exhausted. I tried going to bed, but I have a pain on the left side of my chest and it's making me nervous! It feels like a pulled muscle and is probably nothing, but I'm always high anxiety.

I'm baaaaack. Just wanted to congratulate everyone on your perseverance. I haven't stepped on the scale since I stopped Stillman's, and now I'm worried that I've gained.

I need to drill it into my head that your diet will contribute to weight loss, weight maintenance, or weight gain, and since I've been off Stillman's, I've been eating to maintain. I'd like to get back into losing.

I'm gonna gear up to get back into Stillman's. This time I'm going to incorporate psyllium because not having regular bowel movements was freaking me out. I'm thinking making meals of coffee/tea blended with eggs and psyllium, and then eating lean meat until satiety. And green tea gelatin for variety. I just went food shopping, so I'll start once I eat all the veggies I bought.

Holy crap, ladies! I've been trying to figure out why my appetite has been insatiable lately. Even when I was on Stillman's, I could eat a couple cans of tuna and still not feel full. Well, it turns out that there's a connection between B vitamins and increased appetite! I've been taking a prenatal vitamin this whole time!

I'm going to try cutting out the vitamins and see what happens. This would probably be a bad idea if I was a healthy weight, but since there are vitamins stored in our fat cells, I'm assuming I'll be okay.

I did not know that about B vitamins! I've always seen them marketed as something that "improves metabolism". I also did not know we stored vitamins in our fat. Wow. I must have at least a couple years worth of multiviamins stored up in that case lol.

I notice my hunger is directly proportional to the amount of fake sweeteners I use. Yes, even sucralose. Too bad though, cause I'm not giving that up!

Day 8, people. First day of week 2. I feel good, but that's mainly from my now 8 straight days of exercise. I don't feel like I've lost, but I'm retaining water because it's that time of the month. I think I'll feel much slimmer once that beast is outta the way...hopefully!

Emky, I was surprised when I learned about fat cells too. Did you know that fat cells aren't just passive in the body, but they actually function as an ORGAN in your endocrine system? Here's a pretty good article about it: washingtonpost.com: Decoding the Surprisingly Active Life Of Fat Cells

Just one meal, peeps. I'm good now and lost the pound I gained.

I'm just sucking it up and having eggs and cukes today.

They are a hidden platform in the front, Jessica Simpson. I couldn't control myself. And my Sarto black ones are three years old and they either need the heels replaced or sent to the Salvation Army.

I always bring a tote with spare shoes and scarfs so when I need to be in flats I do the quick change. Nothing is within walking distance so I'm prepared for any wardrobe emergency in the GMC.

So, day 7 it is. It was busy, went well, but now I'm exhausted. I tried going to bed, but I have a pain on the left side of my chest and it's making me nervous! It feels like a pulled muscle and is probably nothing, but I'm always high anxiety.
O girl I have no clue. My cowboy BF even likes Monetno, we don't have any originals...

A blonde was playing Trivial Pursuit one night. It was her turn. She rolled the dice and landed on Science & Nature.
Her question was, "If you are in a vacuum and someone calls your name, can you hear it?"

She thought for a time and then asked, "Is it on or off?"

Last Tuesday, the well-educated and well-spoken Fox News host Bill O'Reilly responded to a viewer criticism regarding O'Reilly's use of the word "idiot" to describe Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik.
Reading from prepared text, O'Reilly said, "I said that the sheriff knew Congresswoman Giffords had received threats, but did not assign one single deputy to the event. 'Idiot' is the proper adjective to describe that occurrence."
