Hey I did good again today!! I"m proud of myself. . For the first time in a long time, I feel like I have a handle on my out-of-control-ness! Whew. . that was one long stint. . I hope it goes away forever and ever.. I had being out of control. The only thing I can say is . . at least I got it back before I gained every single pound back. .Hopefully this time sticks! Sayed below my point value today (really not supposed to) but I'm satisfied with what I've eaten. .why push it? I did have tuna for lunch and eggs for breakfast.. Some habits are hard to break. . Dinner was roast and green beans / cucumbers. . I skipped the potatoes. . Yay, me! Didn't miss them

CC! Can you just box it all up and send it to my house? Please? I had to put most of mine away for the time being. my boys were breaking too many of the pieces and when I found out they were discontinued, I bought some clear glass dishes to use everyday. . I used to live by the outlet mall and was able to pick up different items here and there. .but I'm a sucker for serving platters and bowls, etc. . Don't know why. . I haven't cooked in over a year! Actually, I dusted off some cookbooks yesterday and took some meat out!

Hi Everyone,
Just a question for all those Stillman's Veterans who've experienced weight losses, what does a typical daily menu look like for you? Any tips for having prepared meat on hand? Do any of you use packaged cheese slices (like pepperjack or swiss) on your burgers or grilled chicken breast. Also, do you use Frank's hot sauce and still lose? Thanks for any menu suggestions. It's very inspiring to hear your success stories! |

Thanks you all that congratulated me on my breast reduction surgery. I am really looking forward to it (well, after it is all over).
Tommorrow I have my preop appt and hopefully they won't weigh me again! I am making sure that I stay on track in case they do! Today I had 2 hard boiled eggs, and chicken breast. I need to drink more water though. I plan on doing my calenectics and trampoline this evening... I am waking up hungry though in the nightime... only because of the possible weighin. Veeh; The most important thing is to eat enough. And to be sure to drink all your water. I wound up thinking that eating three hard boiled eggswas enough and thats when you ruin your metabolism. Also writing it down, even on the forum will help with accountability. Don't be afraid to use some herbs on your chicken, and I use pink Hymalayn salt only because it is less fluid retention. Getting there; I have been using the Calenetics for about 2-3 months now. I truly believe it has helped me lose inches. Also, it is great for strectching. She also takes it very nice and slow which is why I enjoy doing it in the evenings as a relaxer. It will be amazing how fast you will get results! I regret not taking my measurements before and after! It can be helpful if you do it every other day so you don't get your muscles burned out. However it can be addictive... the stretches at least! The pelvic rolls are the hardest. I dread those! Let me know how you are doing with it! |

Happy; Never use Deli meats, and I even have stayed away from Kosher hot dogs due to the sodium content. I always slow cook my meat, except if I have a turkey burger, then I just use water in a fry pan.
As far as cheese goes, Stillman says you can have 2 oz, and I have in the past, but you will lose faster without it. When I feel like cheating, I will have 2% Alpine Lace brand chedder, and it has gotten me through a few rough times in the beginning, and I used the pre-sliced type, which are 1 oz a peice. But now I do not use any cheese due to the fact that I know it has a small amount of morphine in it and can be addictive. (thanks to CC's informative article search) It did get me through advancing on the diet in the first few months. Also, I am looking forward to being on maintenance in the next week or so (after my breast reduction surgery) and will add the Alpine Lace back in slowly but with some lo carb veggies. Remember too, that cheese has a ton of salt, so if you are prone to water weight gain, be cautious. |

Hi Habby--Wecome!
A tybical day for me if I'm doing QWL by the book would be 2HB eggs for breakfast, grilled turey breast for lunch and a can of tuna for dinner, and if I was hungry in between I would eat another turkey breast or can of tuna. I never eat the cheese, I think there's too much fat in it. I know Still. says you can have farmers cheese but I don't know what it is! I tried cottage cheese once-yuk!! I do sometimes eat bre-bracked ham or turkey if there's nothing else or if I just fancy a change but it's not reccommended because of the sodium. And then if you really want a treat there's ground beef (yum!) don't think the Dr. would have abbroved tho cos it's very high in fat. The most imortant thing with QWL is to eat clean and lean, at least as much as you can-that way you will lose the quickest!

Hi ladies. Just a quick check in, scale was the same today 172.8 but that's over 10lbs in less than a week. Just finished with dinner of 3 burger patties w/ 2 slices of farmers cheese between them, wrapped in lettuce with one sliced plum tomato between them. I skipped lunch because I was out and unable to eat and breakfast was 2 eggs and 3 slices of bacon. I'm pampering myself at the salon tomorrow
So it was 34 degrees here today or 1 degree celsius and I kinda wanted to cry!! It's not warming up anytime soon but at least we don't have snow! My skin is soo dry though. Usually this time of year, I am *never* dieting... It's always been an excuse to be fat because I fool myself into thinking that I can just hide under sweaters and my big winter coat but this year, idk, I'm feeling so much better now that I'm back on plan, because now I can concentrate on just being depressed about the cold weather instead of being depressed about the cold weather AND being so uncomfortably fat! It's really a relief... ![]()

IM2: I love your ice skating Kitty! She is sooo cute! I am glad you are back on track with your woe. I can not believe you lost 10 lbs practically overnight! It was unbelievable!
Getting there: I didn't do calenetics for about 2 weeks, and I could sense a difference in my flexibility. Hey, I have never been able to touch my toes in my entire life!! So I know what it means not to be a rubber band! I think you will hit your successes (actually seeing results) in about 10 sessions. But did you see the model on the DVD that showed 19 sessions of progress? That is when she could most likely see really definite results, but as you see in the progression, it was staying with it that got her to that point. Have you actually measured yourself? You are doing a LOT of exercise! Are you doing this all in one day??? |

Gwen; So are you close to the weight you were before you left? I know you will get there! Your entire body is readjusting to a whole different time frame, sleep etc... so be patient. I am battling three pounds, the same three pounds in the last 2-3 weeks! I just can not give up!

How is Soles4Souls Green? We offer a simple way to help reduce the strain on our environment: donate your "gently worn" footwear to people in need instead of throwing them away. Last year alone, Americans discarded more than 300 million pairs of shoes. When these shoes break down in our landfills, the toxic glue that holds the shoes together can leak into our water supply and atmosphere. Soles4Souls can save your shoes from early death by cleaning them and shipping them to needy people around the world, who will treasure the gift for years to come. Since its inception following the Asian tsunami, Soles4Souls has distributed nearly 12 million pairs to people in 125 countries, and our efforts have been publicized in thousands of articles, including the Green Guide by National Geographic and Runner's World. Most of our closets are filled with shoes we rarely wear. Instead of dropping the unwanted pairs in the trash, consider stopping by a local shoe retailer in exchange for a discount on a new pair of shoes. In addition to this program, Soles4Souls hosts thousands of collection events across North America, including marathons, schools, churches and more. An old, blind cowboy wanders into an all-girl biker bar by mistake.
He finds his way to a bar stool and orders a shot of Jack Daniels. After sitting there for a while, he yells to the bartender, 'Hey, you wanna hear a blonde joke?' The bar immediately falls absolutely silent. In a very deep, husky voice, the woman next to him says, 'Before you tell that joke, Cowboy, I think it is only fair,Given that you are blind, that you should know five things: 1. The bartender is a blonde girl with a baseball bat. GWN ![]() 2. The bouncer is a blonde girl. CCgirl ![]() 3.
