I don't use the blog!! I just write everything here!! I don't think there are specific threads dedicated to before and after fotos for Stillmans--but there are pictures for Atkins etc. and they are really inspiring so look around the threads. I needed to post some motivation for ME - hopefully it will motivate some others.

Got on the scale this morning after 1 day of being back on Stillman's (the headache is still lingering but it's better) ......AND.........I am down 3 pounds!!

My new mini-goal is to be back at stats by Christmas!

One of my very first mini goals when I began this journey in March was to be able to go clothes shopping with my sister when she visits over Christmas. Well I can say that I have MET that goal!!! No more "big woman" sizes for me with limited styles to choose from.

Watch out Outlet Mall here we come...CHARGE!!!!!!

Howdy Gals! Ipad is supposed to be here today . . and guess what? Sick kid! I sent him to school this morning and they called around noon and asked me to come and get him. He's not sick, per sae. . but he can't quit coughing. .I can't figure it out. . No fever, no stuffiness. .nothing. .just a nagging cough. .sent cough drops with him but of course, they won't let him have those in school. .I'm debating about taking him to the Doc but when I called. they said its' probably allergies anyway. . plus they can't see him until tomorrow unless I wanted to take him to urgent care. . What to do? what to do? He's already been home for two days because of the snow and if it is allergies. .he can't stay home until those pass. . but his coughing is disruptive to the class. . tough one. . I suppose as a good mom I should drag him to the Doc's .. What a pain, though. . I don't know if there's much they can do, either. .

Wish my Ipad would get here. .I'd have something to do while I sat in urgent care waiting. .

Hey does anyone know what a good Anti-virus is to get (the free on=line ones :-). . . I think my kids downloaded something cuz this computer keeps popping up with "make Money at home". . ads. . Eergg. I thought we had that taken care of. .

We use Norton NOT Norton 360 (yuck). This time of year several places have it as low as $9.

I do not use the free online ones as the MAJORITY of the have adware and spyware embedded.

If he just has a cough I would use Robitussin Cough (either the liquid or the softgel tablets)

I'm starting kind of late in the game. But I was doing Atkins for about a month and I found Stillmans and became ADVENTUROUS!

I'm back! But I have a cold of some sort--headache-y and slightly nauseated. It's the weather--20 degrees--and the wind that's just killing this former California girl. I absolutely hate the cold, but I know it could be worse. Oh well, price I pay for living in a place I otherwise love!

IM2: I am so glad you are having so much success on WW. I do find Stillman's a little too restrictive with just eating meat and eggs, and I definitely miss my veggies. I think I would do better staying on plan and not cheating if I let myself eat the veggies I miss (broc, caul, spinach, lettuce), so I am seriously considering doing that, even though I know I won't lose as fast.

OMG, ten days til Christmas! I've got to stay in this zone. I am SO nervous about going back to California for the holidays--not because of my weight, and not because of temptation, but because I am afraid my family will criticize the way I'm eating and freak out. I hate being the center of attention. Obviously, they shouldn't be out of sorts as I AM overweight, but they just make me feel so self-conscious. It's truly unnerving. And the people-pleaser in me will feel pressured to NOT bring attention to myself and, for this reason, will make me want to eat what everyone else is eating just to avoid confrontation. Am I making any sense?

Thank you all for the birthday wishes! I had a great day, and scored big on gifts I wasn't expecting. Got a beautiful Swarovski crystal pendant necklace (a delicate key) from my MIL (this is the only gift I've ever gotten from her that I love, as other random gifts in the past have included such things as leopard-print yoga pants). I also received a truly beautiful Burberry watch from my husband (after I told him not to get me anything for my birthday, since he took me on a trip in October). He's a gem, and he wrote me the sweetest card. I adore him, and I am SO lucky!

That's SO great! Congratulations! No shopping for me, as I have a ton of clothes that I'm waiting to fit back in to. This, for me, will be more satisfying than buying new, as during the past year buying new clothes has been about purchasing bigger sizes. NO MORE!!!

Yesterday I made a yummy casserole... I cooked up some lean ground beef and ground sausage. Now he really is a sweetie and really funny and witty (his secretary is a cow!!) but I really can't stand it when people keep mentioning my weight or watching what I eat!! Rant over!! ...oh and don't have to see him till March again!!..............oh yeah and I intend to have lost more---might have to wear a big sweater that day tho!!!!!

Snowy day here and I'm happy to say I'm on the Stillman's Snowy Sleigh Ride! I started last Monday and decided I'd only weigh weekly, for now. OK...if it's an allergy the chlorphorinamine maleate 4 mg. will tell you in one hour after taking...same as ChlorTimetron but the generic is ten bux at Wal Mart or Rite Aid.

He may have a post nasal drip irritating the throat.....so he has mucus and is swallowing, not blowing (hard to do in public) and it's not making it out of the nose.........so a cough med with decongestant and cough suppressant should do the trick. And some lozenges for school.

you need AdAware for stopping pop ups..and you need to reset your browser's security to medium high. Anti virus will not stop pop ups.

I hate to disagree with y'all but any real computer geek will tell you that Norton is CRAP. (Al, get your hubby and back me up here) AVG anti virus guard free or Avira free are the best ones.

IM-when you get popus like that it's called a browser hijack....you need to clean out your cache files and temporary ones. There's a great program also free called Advanced System Care free that I use on all my pc's when they get sluggish........with kids there are so many temp files cuz they are all over the place on the web you may want to use it every day.
