I want to bake cookies but Im too scared!!!!! If anyone is strong enough to do it there is a recipe on the allrecipes site that is called "award winning chocolate chip cookie". Never tasted anything like them!! If you make em, your family will thank you...

Hello Guys. Thanks for the kind words regarding DH and his job. CC, the good thing about all this is that it has made me realise how careless I have been with money and as a result I am taking saving far more seriously. GT...don't get me started on politics. I saw Nick Clegg in my local supermarket a few weeks ago, (he lives 5 minutes from me) I wanted to punch him, joke not and I can not even bring myself to talk of the other wally, Arrrghhh! We were right about Molly... oh that baby was so cute but boy did it cry! I felt so sorry for it. I was supposed to be out for dinner tonight but it was cancelled as one of the girls is ill. I did not know until 4pm by which time I had already eaten off plan as I thought I'd be eating off plan tonight and took the "what the hell" road at lunch time. Back to it hard core tomorrow up until Xmas day, promise.

Also, I just want to say that I'm not really comfortable posting my stats, because I think people will think I DON"T need to lose weight, when I really do--even my mother, sister, and husband think so (though he likes me fine the way I am, bless his heart). I am, I think as I mentioned before, very small-boned, so I don't wear any extra weight well. I know I'm being overly self-conscious and, perhaps, paranoid, but I don't really want to think so much in terms of numbers; I'd rather focus on fitting back in to all the beautiful clothes I have from two years ago--including my Seven jeans!

Just do what you're comfortable with Vee!!! Fitting in your jeans the way you want to is a perfect goal! I know my stats are up--and I still want to lose more weight but for me it's definitely becoming more about how my clothes fit--and how I look in them.

I have changed my stats to reflect the 10 pound gain........... and here I was thinking that Thanksgiving would be EASY because of turkey - didn't count on all the other stuff (food and emotions) that would be "side dishes".

I do not look forward to the detox this week but I am looking forward to getting back into that carb-LESS feeling that I get from a meat diet.

I think I am partly mourning the loss of activities that I used to do - like making cookies and candy, cooking TONS of food, etc. I just haven't found something to replace those activities ...... yet.

Heck---and this is really embarrassing I remember when i just longed to be able to wear jeans!!!!!!! Sad but true peeps!!! To be fair I probably could've got them-somewhere....but I didn't want to!! The first pair I bought after weight-loss were an 8 boot-cut and I was soooo proud!!!!!!!!!!! .....Now I can wear a 4 super skinny ones-----but I look longingly at the 2 super skinnies----as I say were never satisfied!!!!

Gotta say--the 4s are very tight!!!!! as in if I put on 3lbs they wouldn't fit!!!!!!!!!!

Well, the evil UPS man just stopped by and delivered a box of Cheryl's Cookies!!! (GT, Cheryl's Cookies in this incredible US cookie company that sends individually wrapped awesome-tasting, to-die-for cookies in basically every flavor and concoction you can imagine.) I did NOT open the box, but I know my husband will as soon as he gets home, as they are his favorite. Torture! This is really going to test my will power! I just have to remember that I'd rather have thin thighs than eat my way to cookie oblivion; but if I were dying today (I'm such a drama queen), all bets would be off!

Hi, makemeslim (love that name!). I hear you about saving. I am going to be starting an unpaid internship for my grad program in January, and I will REALLY have to watch how much I carelessly spend on stupid things I don't need (like Starbucks Americanos and books that I don't have time to read from Amazon). My husband will be 100% supporting me, and i don't think he realizes (because I spend my own money) how unscrupulous I can sometimes be about spending money on things like jewelry and shoes! But this will be good for me.

Vee! Be STrong. . My boy baked some butterscotchy, chocolating thing yesterday. .I have to admit..I inhaled every last bit (through my nose, that is! ) Smells are free
