I just _well a while ago---smashed a bottle of brown nail polish all over the bathroom floor---and I cannot for the life of me clean it up.. I've tried everything-bleach.. Tomorrow I'm gonna have to buy a big bottle of nail polish remover and try it (no shops open here on a Sunday) I really hope it comes out---it's everywhere!! And I really liked the colour too!!

I just read that it should be non-acetone nail polish remover.

Someone else said blowdry it and scrape it off with a credit card.

good thing it was in the bathroom and not on a rug!

Good luck!

What CC said, gone a day and a half and 6 pages to catch up on. I knew Al must have been back!

Well I had a few drinks last night (goose and soda) and my weight is the same today... Actually it's been the same 3 days in a row now, I guess my body is adjusting to that whoosh last week. I'm gonna try to cut back on bacon and cheese this week. I think I was eating bacon twice a day, every day last week and I was pushing it with cheese. Now that I had that initial loss, I know I have to clean it up a bit!

I'm off today but ebaying... lots of pretty jewels to sell on ebay as it'll probably be my last listing day until after Christmas. Listening to Sinatra on the radio and sipping my coffee. It's raining here but warmish... Around 60

I'm all stocked up on meats so I'm gonna be cooking up a storm today. I have some chicken breasts that have been marinating, some lean ground beef for burgers, sausage for idk, sausage patties I guess? And I got a london broil. Oh my... I might have to throw something in the freezer!

I'm about to finish up the bacon I have though and cook up some eggs. What's everyone up to today and is anyone actually experiencing some good weather today? Where or where is that sun, I haven't seen it in days!!! Seriously, so glad I'm back on low carb... being fat, uncomfortably bloated, carb-loaded, crappy weather, no sun is just asking to be suicidal. At least low carbing and losing weight is keeping me out of the depression zone that the winter usually brings with it! Anyone take any special vitamins this time of year? I hear tanning beds are great for the winter blues but I don't like to tan, too bad for ya. I just hate when I go days at a time without seeing the sun

GWN and CC- So this ebay thing really works out well, eh? I may try to start selling all my kidstuff after Christmas... So many toys, so much clothes... I really hate the idea of a tag sale but making a little money would be great to put toward the Disneyland fund.

Bwaaaaahahahaha, it's pennies compared to what the shops would cost me!

I went downtown to check out a thrift shop yesterday......I passed on the fox jacket but snapped up a Dooney & Bouke bag that some bonehead put out for ten bux!
It's the brown logo fabric with chocolate leather trim and it's brand new-still has the barcode sticker in the zip pocket! AND it came with a matching coin purse and sunglass sleeve! The gal who consigned it is going to be mighty pissed when she gets her five dollar share of the consign!
It's pretty obvious that the girls eunning the shop have no experience with higher end stufff.......mostly Coldwater Creek and that sort of (yuck) stuff.

I guess I will have to ebay my old Coaches myself.....

BF's getting a motorcycle/tractor lift so he can work on his little Cub Cadet tractors lifted up just like they do with the big lifts for cars where he works.

I'm leaning towards starting Pandora collecting......

Tanned for a few years then my doc told me to quit....and I did. Don't really miss it cuz in the summer I get a farmer tan from mowing......but I hate the white legs...which was okay when I was fatter but I may actually have courage enough to wear something shorter than capris next year if I cn get some more poundage off......

I never knew about the anorexic pasts of some of us.........have wished I was, too, before I found LC. So sad for us all.......but glad we have moved on, smartened up and have control

every day is a gift, thst's why it's called the present

Al my BFF made back a small fortune ebaying her gently used clothes that her daughter outgrew.......with the recession used attire is selling really well.

But I would try a tag sale first.........kid stuff goes big esp. in younger family neighborhoods.

Ebay can be tricky if you're a newbie.

Upside no listing fees, only pay if it sells!

Oh thanks!! I'll try the acetone free remover. scraping it would take way to long--it's literally everywhere! It's all hardened in now too.

GT, would love to know what you use...I tried the Jergens tanning body lotion but all I got was splotches of orange like stained skin.

yeah, in this economy you have to practically give things away to get them to sell. I stopped listing completely fall 2009.

Gotta research the completed items like yours first to price them right. And listing takes time and patience, not many people care to do it.

I use Fake Bake Fair--I find it the most natural and it doesn't get streaky. Or in the Summer if I have a bit of colour(now a very small bit, I am Irish after all!) or if I'm going on hols, I use St. Tropez. It's very messy (like on the bed clothes) but it's very good and doesn't go streaky. You just always have to watch your hands!

When I was a successful Stillmanite... I skipped breakfast, had coffee. Lunch was tuna (the big family sized pouch), dinner was two chicken breasts, or two porkchops or 2 lbs (sometime 3) of ground turkey. Sometimes another chicken breast for late night snack. Anythime I was hungry or my mouth just wanted to chew, or I had nothing better to do, I stuffed it with chicken or a couple spoonfuls of ground turkey! or any other cooked meat on hand! Cook up lots of meat. Ground turkey seems to be the easiest for me to keep on hand at all times.

In the begiinging I used dry seasoings, mustard and hot sauce. Over time, I started eliminating them. Not totally for weight loss, but my taste buds just didnt need it anymore. Just Meat made me happy!

I never ate any cheese or eggs because in my mind the least fat the better for quickest results. The downside to no fat is fatigue, so when I didnt feel that great, I included fattier meats. I was able to continue to lose on fatty meats but at a much slower rate. I honestly ate as much as I wanted. I was one of the lucky ones where it didnt matter.

Since you are just starting out, I would follow Stills rules exactly and keep it as lean and clean as possible. Your appetite will dissolve if you keep it as close to zero carbs as you can. Gt was right, I would give it 3 days. You will be blown away by the intital weight loss in the first 2 weeks. I think mine was 16 pounds, and there are so many other unbelievable but true losses out there from our peeps.

Dairy stalls lots of people, so if you can do without, load up on mustard instead. Not that cheese is oh so bad, but the tastier you make the meat, the more you will want to eat. So you wont know if you are really hungry or not. Theres only so much plain chicken breast a person can handle at one sitting before you push it away and say BLECK, thats enough of that!

I want you to succeed and this thread was built for success. We have all successfully followed the plan and are much better now because of it!!!

Meat is the answer to all my problems. Hopefully it can help you too!!!

Lets do this!!
Aleriaaa, thank you so much for this!

When I was interested in raw veganism (uggh!) they suggested eating "mono-meals" where you only eat one food in a meal. I think I'm going to follow this suggestion when I do Stillman's...as many eggs as I can stand for breakfast...as much canned tuna as I can stand for lunch...as much ground turkey as I can stand for dinner. Dairy and I don't get along, so none of that for me.

Question for all you Stillmanites: how did you handle a social life while on the plan? I'm doing this after the holidays so I won't have to worry about parties and the like, but I'm worried about how I'll be able to go out socializing at restaurants and bars with friends. Did you tell anyone you were dieting? Did anyone notice you were only eating lean meat? Did anyone say anything to you?

I'm considering telling people that I'm on an allergy testing diet if anyone asks. Otherwise, I plan on keeping my mouth shut & hoping no one notices.
