It's all about why you use food to control things. That not eating is the secondary thing. Food isn't the cause of the problem (eh hello!) Then they deal with body image etc.
Actually the eating part is the worst--you literally sit in a room with a meal to eat--and you don't leave until everyone has eaten up!! Or they show you food and ask you how you feel when you look at it. Or show you picks of different bodies at different weights and make you say where you feel you would be...
Having said that it's 10 year ago that I had treatment so I reckon a lot has changed since then!!

I have to comment. . how these "experts" think they are experts and that really is meant with no disrespect. .but I work in a Juvenile Detention Facilty and treatment center. . In the last 5 years, we've gone from punitive to treatment and it is amazing how "treatment" has flip-flopped over the years. . I really dont' understand how someone can be an expert by reading a book . they have to live it. !(we have a lot of do-gooders who want to start this support group or do this. these kids need religion. they need hugs. .they need group therapy. . NO. .they need a good swift kick. Opps. .off topic there. .sorry) plus, I don't want some skinny person telling me . . just don't eat. . say no to food. . Yeah. .right. . don't get me wrong, I know there are peeps out there who actually know what they are talking about. . but I don't feel like sending them money. .

OK. that's my rant for the day. .

I always think that about WW meetings tho---I know it's wrong---but it's like why would I take advice from someone who's not as thin as I want to be!! And WW leader's are never that thin....I know, I know WW promotes a healthy weight for your height etc.....I'm just saying!! (please don't hate me!!)

WW says my weight should be between 109 and 137. There is no way my current weight is acceptable right now. Im only 5'2!!! Im looking quite beefy these days.
