30 pounds by 2011 (happy new year challenge)
I would love to see this happen in my life.
This is not to compete with the already really neat and encouraging Stillmans November thread. This is just a little motivator and weight check in thread. So just post your progress and say Hi occasionally. 30 pounds by january 1st 2011 seems entirely in reach with Stillmans..........![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() and for you already to skinny to go for 30 ![]() ![]() Your my inspiration..... |

I would like to lose a solid 15 lbs by new years. It's time for me to get serious- I did so well the first part of October and then kind of slipped into "eh" mode. Slowly I began adding diet drinks back in as well as cheese, sugar-free gum, bacon, etc. Doing so has not only stalled me, but also bloated me (and I think made me gain back a few lbs- not sure though because I'm too afraid to check, lol).
I'm starting again on Stillman's (the actual plan) today. I think this might be a better thread for me than the November one, because it seems more goal-oriented. I want to be held accountable, dammit! |

oh Welcome Welcome Emky,
![]() We can do this! lt's a little ironic, but last night after I posted this I just pigged out. Well, Anyway today wasn't bad, but tomorrow I'm back to the plan.I quess we really have to know our weaknesses. Mine was those almonds. :blush:Somethings slide us off the plan. I need to have some meat cooked and ready to eat when those times happen. I just thought, well just a few nuts. Then I ate and ate and ate. So I think I won't look at the scale for a few days and give the scale a chance to go back down. I have a bunch more weight to lose than you do. But after you lose your weight then you have the eating to fit your new u adjustment. I'll be rooting for you

Welcome Welcome Miamom,
![]() ![]() ![]() Now this thread is just to kind of keep the goal in mind for the New Year. I'm going for 30 and emky for 15. The November thread is alot more support and info. But I do have the Stillmans book and will share some goodies from it now and then. Right now I'm on the QWL which has the basic plan on the top of the Stillmans page. Weight will drop when your sticking to it. In the book he gives other types of diets if you get bored with all the meat. I may switch when I get bored. But I just had some turkey bacon and I'm good for now..... Jump in there Mia ![]() |

Hi Miamom! Just wanted to let you know the first few days can be rough but after that you'll feel like a new woman. You already put your mind to it, so go in strong and prepared!!! any little cheat counts big when it comes to Stillmans. Don't let anything get in your way!! So, get your meats and tuna pouches ready and boil your eggs! Make sure you have time to relax if you feel tired. You can eat as much non-fat meat as you need to get through it and by next week, you'll be down up to 14 pounds! Shoot for 20!! Its not impossible when we're dealing with meat. After a week your appetite will completly fade.Last edited by aleriaaa; 11-06-2010 at 11:11 AM.. |

Jump in Mama 3,,,,by 2011 we will be celebrating big time!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hey Al you are talking about a subject I was going to bring up at the November thread. When a person goes off this plan for let's say a day, what is the deal with that. I'm sure you've done that once and a while. What happened to your weight loss and how long to recoop? |

I'd like to join this challenge. I can't afford to gain any more weight - I gained 10 pounds from Labor Day til now, ugh. I just cannot let this go any further. I HAVE to get serious and head back the other direction.
I have done Stillmans in the past and I do very well on it. The first few days are hard but after that is gets easier. Good luck to all of us. |

Welcome Welcome Taiye and Ironicwoman,
![]() ![]() We will do this. Taiye, the quick weight lose program is at the top of the Stillmans page. Basically lowfat meat and some lowfat cottage cheese and don't forget vitamins. I personally use a little CO, too. You can modifiy too if you need to fit your body. For me, I like to add a little fiber in the form of a flaxmeal pancake. I make it with 2 Tablespoons of flaxmeal one egg and a dash of baking powder and I fry it in CO. Then I add a little sweetner too. It's not bad. I am loving this woe. ![]() Anyway, so glad to have you and let's do this! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Well I am changing my goal to 20 pounds by New years Eve. That would make me 150. I have had a tough week since this was my birthday week. Everyone wants to feed me cake. So making it to 150 would still be great.
That would leave me about 20 to 30 pounds left. But I haven't seen 150 for years. Well anyway, hope you all R doing great. ![]() ![]() Let's get into gear for New Years ![]() |

Hello everyone, this looked like an interesting thread so I'd like to join in. I did Stillman's two years ago and lost 60 lbs on the QWL and 14 day shape up plan in about two and a half months. Unfortunately life happened and things got busy and slowly and surely I gained back everything and the pounds came with friends.
Oh well I know what works and I'm recommitted to dropping the pounds of for good this time, I'm getting married next year and definitely want to be a fit bride.Good luck to everyone on their journey!

Hi Everyone,
I'd love to join you. For those of you already doing Stillman's, could you recommend some daily menu ideas to get me started? I'd like some ideas for things to have on hand in freezer or fridge for quick fixes. I've done Atkins in the past with success, but am really new to Stillman's and just need to know what works for others. I really like meat, not so much on eggs though. I'd love to hear your success stories and become one myself by New Years! |

Hi Happy! You are gonna love the results from Stillmans!!! Unfortunately the menus are quite boring....just cook up lots of chicken, turkey, lean beef, and pork. You can do this without eggs! Some like cottage cheese, but I dont.
Breakfast: meat Lunch: meat Dinner: meat Snack: meat This may seem crazy, but after a week, and after 10-15 pounds gone, you will love eating chicken for breakfast!!! Welcome to the group! |
