Those skinny girls you see...it will hit them sooner or later...who really knows how they stay so slim...hopefully they aren't practicing destructive habits to do that.

It's hard being a woman and trying to "get off sugar"...hormones make things all the more difficult....hang in there... sounds like you have a whole lot on your plate during this time of your life...you need to have some "emky time"...
Thank you so much, Becky!!! It really does help to post here. I like how the Stillman's group is kinda small, so I can follow everyone else's progress without too much trouble.

And GO YOU! I think you'll easily be able to make your new goal of 145. How long do you estimate it will take you?

Thanks emky!
I think I maybe could be there by Christmas...I've been averaging about 9 pounds a month. I'm not in a big hurry...it is fun to watch the scale go down and feel my clothes getting bigger!

^^^I know, isn't that the best?! I love it when clothes feel baggy due to weight loss! And Christmas will be here before you know it! Do you have a plan for dealing with family gatherings and the obvious food implications? It's never too early to create a defense against family pressure...

I've NEVER lost weight and gotten to a weight that I wanted to maintain. Before either got pregnant or just gave up.

I KNOW I will get to goal...and my plan right now is to always eat basic LC if I can handle adding cheese, nuts maybe some beans & LC veggies and maybe some LC tortillias.

If those things make me overeat...I'm not sure what I will do!

My plan for family gatherings this year is to eat meat...if there is no clean meat available, I will just eat a tuna pack from my purse or maybe some HB eggs. That's my plan for now. It's worked for me sooooo far! : )

I just feel too good to go back...I hope I can keep this mindset.

I take vits twice a day....
Biotin
Calcium
Vit D
Andrew Lessman's Hair, Skin & Nail Vits

I went and bought a jar of Bluebonnet's multi vit ... I get pretty tired almost every afternoon...I was that way before LCing too...hoping the multivit will help.

I'm 43 now...I've finally gotten to the place where I couldn't care less what people think of my weird ways...the results are proving I'm doing what is good for me!

Hi Emky,
you could try this for the pimples. Coconut Oil, which is antibacterial, antifungul and antiviral. When you first put it on, it looks so greasy, then it just disappears. It needs to be that extra Virgin Kind. Also ingest some good garlic supplements. Pimples can be from so many reasons, but these R a few solutions some people have found. I did some research for my daughter. Also doing an Epsom Salt bath twice a week. It's real good for your skin, plus it's a detox. I'm gonna start doing that myself. So many toxins around.... Wheat grass is also a detox type of thing too.

IM2fat,
I'm into doing this Woe as long as I need to so I've decided to still try and get all my vitamins. I do a good supplement, but when i run out, I'd like to start making wheat grass shakes. I was looking at all the benefits and basically that stuff is so packed with good stuff. Very low carb. Although I never thought I'd consider eating grass at any time in my life, but I'm gonna start sprouting....

Getting there,,,,man you have done incredible on your weight loss.
But I think of you as Cupcake,,,,I wonder why,,,

CCgirl,
I'm 5'5 I think. I will race you to 140 since that's your goal. I'm not sure where I'm stopping. I use to think 120 was a great weight for me. I'm small boned. You just can't tell that with me right now.

I'm still a bit in shock!

Hi becky,
I see your a nite owl too! Well tomorrow is a big BBQ day for me. I'm gonna be eating brisket and avoiding the rest. Unfortunately brisket is all the meat being served. Well maybe I should sneak a little chicken in my purse.....Take care, Frances

Tooo Funny. We are twinks. .I'm telling you. 4 kids . kinda do that to the old bod. ..and.. 43 is a good age, I think. The only thing I worry a bit about is my skin. . I try to keep the moisture up but i can still see a few "tell-tale" wrinkles . .mostly worry lines (teenagers, ya know!)

Ahh. the old Vitamin Debate. ..

If you do nothing else. . take a Multi. . .I take quite a few but I haven't been really sick in ages. .

Multi
B12 = Energy
Calcium - cuz my Doc told me too
Flax Oil - Keep things lubed
Biotin - hair/nails
Magnesium - cuz someone here said it was good for you ? IDK. .
D - Cell Rejuvination
81 mg aspirin - heart
C - Cold/Flu . .
Fiber - Cuz . .well. .you know

I can really tell when I don't take my Vitamin B 12. . .

I tried the CO for a while. .I really didn't see any results but it does work well for cooking :-)

Mine are 16, 15, 10, 8. . Its almost like I have two families! Always splitting them up with hubby and running the big ones to practice and the little ones to their stuff. . There are times when having 4 is difficult. .like trying to book a hotel room on-line. . like always having to have a mini van to tote them around. . My older two are over 6 feet tall so its difficult to even get them in a car! Still. .I wouldn't trade it for anything. . I am just thankful they are all boys. . I couldn't imagine having a girl thrown in there.. I know we'd clash. I kinda like being the only girl in a world of 5. . . could that be why I have a weight issue? Always cooking for hungry boys/men?

O and let it be known. . I do have my own bathroom! Just thought I'd throw that out there for ya'all. .

Yeah IM, I quit ingesting CO daily too...I do find I have to eat more often...with the CO I would eat twice maybe once a day...the CO the 2 x a day would really keep my hunger at bay (high calorie CO, I know)

Now, if I'm hungry I grab some steak or a boiled egg and I'm good to go.

My weight loss had really picked up since I gave up the CO...but that may also be due to the fact that it's my time of the month to lose...or maybe I just needed a calorie reduction...I dunno...

Just when I think I've got this weight loss thing figured out, it stops!

I have discovered that if I eat more often. . (Like every 2 to three hours). . I have no desire to "cheat". . the key is to never let yourself get tooo hungry. .it is not good. . I'm not talking eat a huge meal. .but pop an egg or a small piece of chicken. . it works wonders. . I waiting to eat until 12:30 (now) and I'm starved. . good thing I had some ground beef cooking. .MMmmm. gotta love. .topped with a boiled egg and hot sauce. . I'm in meat heaven. .

I kinda got side-tracked today. .had to turn my furnace on this morning. . I've been avoiding it like the plague but had to do it. . My bills in the winter are outrageous so I really have to be mindful of how much we use. .I hate spending all that money at once (we have a tank to fill) and it always happens areound Christmas! Speaking of. .do you realize Christmas is just around the corner, peeps? . OMG. . I am so far behind. . But the great thing about it is. .we shall be closer to goal and not have to start with a New Year's Resolution. .We will already be there. . yipppeee

Hi Everyone!! Its me! The walking dead!! Still cant hear. Work was really tough. Difficult to think, communicate, and I just felt horrible and looked terrible. I was so upset I couldnt even show up on here. Went home last night and cried like a child because I just cant take feeling lousy anymore! snots all over the pillow and everything!

On a positive note. I feel better today. A lot better actually. Still sick but my head is clear and I dont feel out of it. Just feels just like an annoying cold. Must be the power of eggs. Had five of them yesterday and Im down to 126. Today was a bag-o-tuna, coffee, and lots of CL. Gonna do the egg thing again for dinner, but try to limit it to two.
