backup pair(s) always on board when I'm out.

Serving Customers

No one can make you serve customers well.....thats because great service
is a choice.
Harvey Mackay, tells a wonderful story about a cab driver that proved this
point.

He was waiting in line for a ride at the airport. When a cab pulled up,
the first thing Harvey noticed was that the taxi was polished to a bright
shine. Smartly dressed in a white shirt, black tie, and freshly pressed
black slacks, the cab driver jumped out and rounded the car to open the
back passenger door for Harvey ..

He handed my friend a laminated card and said: Im Wally, your driver.
While Im loading your bags in the trunk Id like you to read my mission
statement.

Taken aback, Harvey read the card.. It said: Wallys Mission Statement: To
get my customers to their destination in the quickest, safest and cheapest
way possible in a friendly environment...

This blew Harvey away. Especially when he noticed that the inside of the
cab matched the outside. Spotlessly clean!

As he slid behind the wheel, Wally said, Would you like a cup of coffee? I
have a thermos of regular and one of decaf. My friend said jokingly, No,
Id prefer a soft drink. Wally smiled and said, No problem I have a cooler
up front with regular and Diet Coke, water and orange juice.. Almost
stuttering, Harvey said, Ill take a Diet Coke.

Handing him his drink, Wally said, If youd like something to read, I have
The Wall Street Journal, Time, Sports Illustrated and USA Today.

As they were pulling away, Wally handed my friend another laminated card,
These are the stations I get and the music they play, if youd like to
listen to the radio.

And as if that werent enough, Wally told Harvey that he had the air
conditioning on and asked if the temperature was comfortable for him. Then
he advised Harvey of the best route to his destination for that time of
day. He also let him know that he'd be happy to chat and tell him about
some of the sights or, if Harvey preferred, to leave him with his own
thoughts.

“Tell me, Wally, my amazed friend asked the driver, have you always served
customers like this?

Wally smiled into the rear view mirror. "No, not always.. In fact, its only
been in the last two years. My first five years driving, I spent most of
my time complaining like all the rest of the cabbies do. Then I heard the
personal growth guru, Wayne Dyer, on the radio one day.

He had just written a book called Youll See It When You Believe It. Dyer
said that if you get up in the morning expecting to have a bad day, you'll
rarely disappoint yourself. He said, Stop complaining! Differentiate
yourself from your competition. Dont be a duck. Be an eagle. Ducks quack
and complain. Eagles soar above the crowd..

That hit me right between the eyes, said Wally. Dyer was really talking
about me. I was always quacking and complaining, so I decided to change my
attitude and become an eagle. I looked around at the other cabs and their
drivers. The cabs were dirty, the drivers were unfriendly, and the
customers were unhappy. So I decided to make some changes. I put in a few
at a time. When my customers responded well, I did more.

I take it that has paid off for you, Harvey said.

It sure has, Wally replied. My first year as an eagle, I doubled my income
from the previous year. This year Ill probably quadruple it. You were
lucky to get me today. I dont sit at cabstands anymore. My customers call
me for appointments on my cell phone or leave a message on my answering
machine. If I cant pick them up myself, I get a reliable cabbie friend to
do it and I take a piece of the action.

Wally was phenomenal. He was running a limo service out of a Yellow Cab.
Ive probably told that story to more than fifty cab drivers over the
years, and only two took the idea and ran with it. Whenever I go to their
cities, I give them a call. The rest of the drivers quacked like ducks and
told me
all the reasons they couldnt do any of what I was suggesting..

Wally the Cab Driver made a different choice. He decided to stop quacking
like ducks and start soaring like eagles.

How about us? Smile, and the whole world smiles with you... the ball is in
our hands!
We reap what we sow. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the
proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up... let us do good
to all people.

Ducks Quack, Eagles Soar.

Have a nice day, unless you already have other plans. SORROW looks back,

WORRY looks around, and FAITH looks UP... "Life isnt about waiting for the storm

to pass. Its about learning to dance in the rain." And while in the storm, give

it to God and let him handle it.

Grrrrrrrr... Still between 169 and 170. Maybe I'm eating too much beef? Or maybe it's the mix of reduced sugar ketchup, mustard & olive oil mayo?? Or maybe it's the granular splenda instead of SF Davinci's?
Or maybe my bodys just holding on to water an I'll let it go soon...
Oh well...maybe tomorrow!
Msgirl, I hope your sale is kind today!!
And of course I hope everyone is is losing too!

Yes, I did eat one. I was thinking that maybe my body was trying to tell me I needed more potassium.

It tasted ok - not as great as I thought given the craving I had for it.....

I have upped my water the last couple of days trying to flush the salty foods out of my system so maybe I have also flushed too much potassium as well. I do take a potassium tablet each morning but maybe those were not enough.

I am now back to my regularly scheduled programming....MEAT!
It was, it was!!!!! I crave bananas too!!! I try to keep away-sugar city!! But I have eaten one or two over the last months and boy do I savour every bite!! And feel so much better after!! They're my new treat!!

Thanks for the luck girls!

Well, I got on the scale today and I am thankful for a 6.4 pound loss in these two weeks. Truly, I was hoping for more because I just feel swollen...I am not sure if it is all the water I am retaining or if my body is just changing - it just feels swollen - even my fingers. It's really weird.

There is a large percentage of my clothes that I still CAN NOT wear. I would even be completely satisfied with the number on the scale if those clothes would fit me right.

It's weird....I have a very small waist but could put Beyonce to shame with my derriere

But, I am thankful nonetheless that I was able to lose and not maintain or gain

Ok gotta go!!! Just want to rant (well ya know me!!) Was watching The biggest Loser USA last nite(dunno what season, prob an old one) anyway---seriously 130lbs in 11 weeks??????????????? I think I read somewehere that they were TV weeks and well I hope so!!!!!!!!!!! It's incredible!!! I'm telling ya I was depressed watching it! Like sooo much weight!!! I know some people were 400lbs starting off but still!!!It was down to the final 4-a girl called Amanda was in it who kept wearing her lucky pink tshirt!!!
The other thing that was scary was that the men who had lost over 120lbs looked a little "deflated", in their shoulders and neck and everything. It just made me think, I hope I don't look that. I don't think I do or at least I didn't but seeing these people I couldn't help but wonder. You know that I'll always look like someone who has lost a lot of weight--that everyone can see it. As I say I thought I was lucky and didn't really look like that but the poeple on the shoow do. Not the Amanda girl but then she had "only" lost about 55. Anyway it was driving me (and my other half! He! the poor thing!) crazy last night. Who's the blonde presenter?? She doesn't look that skinny herself, I mean not like other American presenters!!! Was she ever in the show?? She has amazing body built arms!!
Ok rant over!! BBL!!!

There is a large percentage of my clothes that I still CAN NOT wear. I would even be completely satisfied with the number on the scale if those clothes would fit me right.

It's weird....I have a very small waist but could put Beyonce to shame with my derriere

But, I am thankful nonetheless that I was able to lose and not maintain or gain
yeah I'm still pretty bootylicious.........but we will conquer the JLo butt!

Go us!!!!!!!!!!!

okay back to work........gotta make some cat food money

My guess would be a combination of the mayo and water retention

Congrats on the loss! That is 3+ pounds a week. It took me a loss of over 20 pounds before I could wear the next size down There was a Dr Oz show that he explained that swollen then a squishy feeling. THe swollen feeling was the fat cells filling up with water (instead of fat) then as the fat started to literally melt, you would get a squishy feeling. You migh even be able to feel small pocket of fat - they would feel like hard small lumps. So I am guessing you are also about to see a WHOOSH

BBL!!!
Yes it is TV weeks I think from start to finish the time is actually 8 months. Some of it spent on "the ranch" and the rest at home.

I am sad to say that I have that "deflated" look starting. Sagging skin everywhere Even my ankles are getting "saggy" - gross! I know I will have to have some reconstructive surgery done - but that is a couple years down the road.

On one of the seasons the presenter was pregnant - the BL show did not say anything publicly until near the end of the season.

Okay I have to share this - it may be too much info but....you girls know me pretty well so I am gonna share anyway.

Today I noticed that I either have a kidney infection or a UTI due to some bleeding when I urinate. Anyway......I mentioned to a friend what is going on and she said to try apple cider vinegar. So, I made a note to go get some and then low and behold she brought me some this morning.

Well, I just took 2 tablespoons in my water and

I survived but YUCK!!!

So, on the inside of my body today I have 2 tbs. of CO, 2 tbs. of ACV, and a b-12 packet, along with green tea and water. I should be pretty doggone healthy or else my stomach is totally freaked out

Have any of you had any experience with ACV?
