I am with you on that power trip! It does feel great to be able to walk into my kitchen and not immediately head to the fridge or the pantry for an unsatisfying carb snack. I love being able to do a "quick" run through the grocery store and not be sidetracked by the snack, bread, cookie/candy aisles (better for the budget as well )Not only did I hate the way I felt (physically) before I started QWL, I hated the "out of control" feeling I had when faced with snacking. On my recent trip to Chicago, I did indulge in carbs but I was really able to control what I ate and how much - THAT was a great accomplishment for this carb addict Yes, I did come back 10 pounds heavier but I have lost almost all of it in a few days. Stillman's WORKS!!!! |

I am almost out of my Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil so I ordered a gallon from my online source. they were having a two quarts for the price of a single quart but ordering the gallon bucket was a lot cheaper for shipping. Anyway. I should be good for quite some time with a gallon of the stuff. I lose much better when I have my coconut oil.
Plus DH cooks his eggs in it so I can't run out. |

Good morning! I think I have about two more minutes to be able to say that! I have been very busy these past few days, but hopefully things will settle down here soon. I'm on plan and still committed to not weighing until Sept. 2. I have been able to be strictly on plan the last few days and that feels good.
I love the "rambling" posts. Lots to think about and be inspired by! |

I know there are some people on here that teach English as a second language overseas. My daughter is interested in doing this as well. She graduated this past Spring with an Education degree but there are no jobs to be found
![]() Can you tell me what you had to do ( go through an agency, training, etc.) Thanks....... Sorry for the OT subject....... |

There are so many times on the QWL that I miss something "crunchy". I have found if I cook turkey bacon, extra crispy, that it really helps get me over that particular craving.
Anyone else missing something "crunchy"? What are your solutions? |

Does everyone eat turkey bacon except for moi? I have never had it. Can someone give me the ingredients???
The only thing crunchy I eat is ground beef and turkey burst to a crisp. Nothing close to bacon though!!! |

Al! I finally watched Twilight the other night which forced me to start reading the book. ( I had the disc from Netflix for almost 2 weeks.. ). Not sure how I feel about the movie . .for me it was so/so but I hear the book is much better. I usually like to read the book first anyway. .. I'm only about 3 chapters in but was almost late for work this morning.. I want to read some tonight but I'm afraid I'll be up all night. .However.. with as quiet as it is in here tonight. . I might just do it!

Hi Peeps. Sorry for not checking in, busy at work but definitely been on plan!
Everything I ate today... Um some CO bark for breakfast then two hours later I had two hard boiled eggs and coffee. Lunch was about 8ozs grilled chicken dipped in ranch dressing. I had two vodka water drinks after work and got a very good buzz. Haven't had a drink in 2 weeks, I think. Dinner was two burgers on lettuce leaves w/ pepper jack cheese and a plum tomato. I know, not QWL but that's what I've been eating every day for about two weeks now and have a loss every day. Um, today was only .2 but I guess I can't expect a pound a day, every day. HA! Oh and I just had another piece of CO bark and working on my water. I don't know if I will see a loss tomorrow, my boobs are sore! TOM should have been here a week ago but with my cheat, I think I threw it off, so I am expecting him any hour now! I ate more for dinner than I normally do. I usually buy two beef patties that are around .80lb but today since they weren't on sale, I bought just the lean ground beef (same exact meat, just not shaped into patties), which was cheaper than the patties but it was 1.04lb. I ate every last bit! Well, almost every last bit, I gave some to the cats. .80lb is the perfect amount, I've found. I was sooo full more than halfway through BUT... just couldn't make myself stop... I even said, put half of this second burger away, eat it tomorrow... but like old habits, I could not put it down. Now I've realized I'm doing myself no favors by buying the cheaper meat, if it means I'm going to eat more. Why oh why can't I just get my head around portion control already!? It's always been my flaw, it's the reason I am always struggling with my weight. IDK. But I was very disappointed in myself because now I am sitting here like a stuffed pig, thinking if there is no loss on the scale tomorrow it is because I had to keep stuffing my face or because of those two drinks! Okay, I know I'm being too hard on myself but still... Wish that when my brain registers it's too much food, my mouth would just obey!

I haven't had any turkey bacon in about 5 months. I ate it for a bit when I first started Stillman's but I am just not a big fan of turkey bacon... Bleh! I will take the real thing any day!
Swebb, when I was something crunchy, although it's not on QWL, I just have lettuce, like the stalk part of romaine. IDK but it's crunchy and seems to do the trick. Fortunately, I rarely crave anything crunchy, sweet, salty, etc etc etc oh the beauty of Stillman's. Seriously... If only it could be that easy all the time... I've even cut back how much Food TV I watch... It gets to be too much at times, the constant teasing!! ![]() |

I am having a hard time judging exactly how much CO I am consuming, considering I make it in bark form, which btw people, it is delicious! I just pop it in my mouth and let it melt while I take a shower in the morning... Oh the little things we look forward to when getting out of bed
![]() Anyway.... Does anyone know how many tablespoons are in one of those jars? I figure I am going through one jar every 10 days?? |

IM2, I am in awe of your money saving skills.... Seriously!! You should definitely be patting yourself on the back every time you leave the grocery store.... Actually, as you're walking to your car, cart in hand, fully stocked at $24, I'd be doing one of those evil cackles "mwahahahahaha" at knowing you just gave it to the man! I spent 10.++ today alone at the store, buying a small block of cheese, 1 plum tomato and a pound of lean ground beef. I should probably go back to my chicken, it was cheaper! Anyway, well done!

The only thing I can say on the matter is, the very first time I did Atkins (not Stills) was also the only time I have ever been on birth control and I did consistently lose weight, so there is hope! In fact, even after I stopped low carbing, I still didn't gain weight on the pill. I think you definitely have a chance! I will definitely be eager to hear how things progress! ![]() ![]() |

That is too friggin hilarious.. I do my evil laugh every time I get in the car.. I feel guilty for about a minute and then realize. . they double coupons and make the sales to draw people in..I'm just a little bit smarter than the merchandisers..I only stick to sales and make a promise to only pay .50 and no more for my items! I was exceptionally pleased with my take this week.. I really did well.. the only problem is. . I have a Kroger in my town which does not double so I have to travel 3 towns over to get the deals.. I am usually gone for 2 hours so I have to weigh that out before I go. . |

Gwn! You have been so successful and I think part of the reason is ... you've been jostling it up for awhile...You are reading your body and understanding what makes it tick! congrats! I'm working on mine.. I guess I'm at the point in my life where as long as I'm not gaining.. I'm OK. not thrilled.. but slow and steady wins the race.. i will do it. . I will.. .I'm feeling good tonight and I will feel good in the morning!!
