![]() ![]() And the new control...er, awareness of appetite.I now know that carbs are the great fooler and won't be fooled again!!!!!!!!! ![]() "evidence points to our being pure carnivores, as are the big cats. However, we are a remarkably successful species. It is unlikely that we would have been quite so successful if we had been forced to rely on only one source of food. It is obvious from archaeological remains that we tended to be more opportunist eaters. We hunted and ate meat primarily but, if meat was in short supply, we would eat almost anything — so long as it did not require cooking. This still precluded some of the roots and most of the legumes and cereals that we eat today. When meat was in short supply, we got our protein from nuts and ate fruits and berries. During our evolution, therefore, when we lived well, our diet was high in protein and fat: during lean times it was richer in carbohydrates. So, our ideal diet, the one we evolved and adapted to, must also be one which is high in proteins and fats, and low in carbohydrates." Squishy, it really varies but I know people who have lost 20 lbs the first month on here. Then, there's me who for several weeks has been Stuck
![]() ![]() But mine is a lot of water and hormones. Before though I lost 25 lbs pretty quickly. Just stick it out and keep up with your water. That always helps me! |

Now...I'm one that likes to go cold turkey. Eliminate everything. Just stick to the meat, but Im wondering about this 14 Day plan....It would be nice to still lose weight on it, even its a little slower, and as long as I can stick to it and not let the cravings take over...
So, we are allowed 1 cup of salad for lunch and another for dinner. Does that mean a loose cup, or as much as I can press into a measuring cup? Loose lettuce just doesnt seem like much..Also, I would like to have my two cups at once. sigh...I hate diets... Should I tell you waht my scale said this morning?? It was bad peeps. |

OK..I just motivated myself again... I lost it before, I'll lose it again. I think I am going to try something to see if I can ease the withdrawal symptoms a bit. I seem to get it soooo bad (headaches, sinus problems, extra moods wings) Perhaps if I do the salad for two weeks, and then switch to just meat, I wont get the headaches? Or maybe not as bad.. Its worth a shot!
I will have to stick to this board very closely and I will probably be doing a lot of complaining. As soon as I eat something non-meat it registers a cheat and I have to get that out of my head!!! Let me know if it will bug you guys if I talk about eating lettuce. QWL is the way to go, but Ive been doing it soo long now, I think I need a break. sorry my thought process is jumping back and forth.....but its helping me figure this out! Thanks for listening! |

Al - you can talk about lettuce all you want! I'm guessing that since you haven't mentioned it, you are not taking us all on a cruise and I should take back all the cruise clothes I bought?

To see you AL and others who have done this for a long time (basically) and kept a big loss of...WOW! What an inspiration. I've been reading so much lately about how bad sugar is for us...I saw that article about Drew Carey dropping 80 pounds since January! It said he was doing no carb. ... and exercise...I wonder if he was following STillmans? Last edited by becky123abc; 07-30-2010 at 07:49 AM.. |

Hello everyone!!!
Staying on this board REALLY helps and I mean REALLY helps! If you log in daily, check how everyone else is and then see that they may be struggling in the same areas that you are it makes this WOL much easier ![]() ![]() ![]() |

AL - my pork roast was super good!
I just used 1 can of beef broth and 1 can of golden mushroom soup. I only ate the meat and scraped as much soup off as possible. I covered it in pepper and let cook in the crock pot for 8 hours....YUMMMMMM |

Well becky - it went down easier. But, half way through my drinking it my CO solidified. I just picked up a spoon and started eating it.
I don't know if my water was too cold or what??? |

I'm new to learning about Candida...I'm reading the massive thread on LCF. I'm really wondering if I've had this and didn't know it. I have several of the symptoms...but there are some symptoms I completely don't have.
IF I do...between Stillman's and the CO, I'm hoping to see some improvements! |

I bet I just used too much of both the CL and the CO....oh well, I will try again this afternoon.
You do need to get you a pork roast - they are fairly inexpensive too! |
