I just found out the other day  that Burger King is soooo much better than McDonalds...I had to go..they had Team Edward keychains in the Happy meals and if I went large on a regular meal, I got the free plastic Twilight cup! Now I can see my man everytime I refill it with iced coffee!!

How is hubby doing? how much weight has he lost?

Just in:

I read on another site that if you pop your fish oil and flax seed oil in the freezer and take them that way. . you won't get the "repeat!" . .I'm gonna try it. . I quit taking them some time ago because they decided to start coming back up.. I know the benefits are endless so its worth it to try it!!!

Anyone else popping fish oil tabs?

Al! I bought a bigger sized toaster/confection oven (The big one that will handle two pizzas. .it was on the box!!!). . but it is big enough to cook a meal for the 6 of us! I never use my oven any more. The house doesn't over heat and it's convenient enough that my kids can use it. . It has double racks and comes with a baking pan! Just a thought if you don't want to use your oven all summer long. .

Thank you IM! I'm finding just eating meat is a bit easier than eating the LC way I used to. My old LC habits included things like (if we go to a mexican restaurant) getting a taco salad and not eating the shell...or fajitas without the tortillias but with the sour cream etc...)
Now, it's so simple...I just get a slab of meat...whether it's fish, steak or chicken...I make sure it's not got gravy or anything like that. I eat it slowly and enjoy the fellowship. It's so satisfying...

Before on LC I don't remember feeling this way. (You can see how long I've been on this board in my stats...it's actually been longer than that...but they did a change on the board and I lost my original date ... haha) I realize this is a lifelong struggle with me...that I guess I'll never conquer my problem with food.

I'm not tempted by all the things that were my downfall before...BUT --- I wonder when that pendelum will shift back in the other direction...I wonder what will be the circumstance that turns me around...that scares me. "One day at a time"...

Msgirl turned me on to Stillman's. I used to briefly read about it and think, "I could NEVER do that!" I didn't think I could do LC without the pleasure of cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, etc...and all those meat casseroles...

I'm so glad I listened to her!

I'm listening to you all too and learning...I'm so thankful for this board. Thank you IM...you are so faithful in posting and so encouraging to everyone!

howdy friends!!!

Just checking in and thinking.....it's about time!!! I have needed to get on here for such a very long time!

WOW - Becky I am so PROUD of you!!!!!

I just ate two packs of tuna with a tiny sprinkle of sunflower seeds and trying to down my water! I struggle with food boredom so much!!!

But.....the willpower is there for sure right now.

For instance....this morning I took my boy to Dunkin Donuts and all I had was coffee. If you have never been in a Dunkin Donuts .....well let's just say it is CARB HEAVEN! Anyway, I have not been tempted by these things for a while!!! Thank Goodness!

Plus, I have a little goal in my mind.

Maintenance is so hard so I am thinking about just falling back into my lean protein routine and eating low cal Atkins for outings. Still thinking on it though!

Its too humiliating to even post my stats right now. Whats worse about it is... I dont even have the umfph! to say its an on plan day... I dont want to shake my pom poms and I want to start tomorrow....

I ate well yesterday, as in Atkins style...and the whole "you ruined it" syndrome came into play. (si I chomped on goldfish while watching the Hangover (which was hilarious) The scale is up up up... I have to get my head on straight and stop being the broken record here. It doesnt help any of us.

sorry girls....
Ah poor Al! Don't worry--when you're ready you'll lose it again pretty quick!! I really think the scale bounce is the worst thing about QWl-it's crazzzy!! When Mum was here I put on like 7lbs (I think) and I wasn't doing that much cheating!! I lost them again in about 3 days tho---so it wasn't "real" fat! (I have to keep telling myself that!!) I felt it in my stomach tho---mega muffin bakery!!

Okay so this is just to keep me accountable:

The things I struggle with during pre-maintenance/maintenance:

1. I love peanut butter and it can derail me so quickly. I have got to stop justifying it!!!

2. Redi-Whip - though it is low calorie and low carb - I can go OVERBOARD

3. Food boredom - I get tired of eggs and tuna - gotta get back into eating more chicken.

4. Get back on the 80+ oz of water a day! That will make all the difference in the world - I am sure of it!

It's really unbelievable, isnt it!....but the fact that it comes off quick again keeps me cheating. Vicious cycle.. It has to stop!

Speaking of real fat....my hips are real...why cant it go to my butt?!?!

I know weight is such a crazy thing. I got on the scale first thing this morning and it said 186! Then I re-weighed and it was 188...and then I re-weighed it was still 188....then I re-weighed...haha...you get the picture! It stayed at 188! Why tease me with a two pound loss????

I know it's best to not obsess about the scale...so I try not to...but I also know when I start slipping I stop weighing...
