Will weigh tomorrow and report in. I have to lose this weight, and I was doing really well with Stillmans and the weight was coming off nicely earlier this month. It's literally killing me to not stick with the plan.
It was so nice to see familiar names this morning when I logged in. Kamills and IM2Fat.....it's so nice to see everyone is still here and moving forward.
I'm going to pick a household project today in order to avoid making the refrigerator my activity.
So far have had coffee and a hard boiled egg. Yesterday was a good day too. Will check in later. Have a good day to all!
POWER!!! You probably haven't read over the posts, but I went off plan for a WEEK!!! And I mean really really off plan. Full blown carb, fat and extrememly high calories for a whole week. I felt exactly the same as you, but you just have to pick yourself up, DO NOT DWELL ON THE MISTAKES, learn from them. You are not going to achieve anything by beating yourself up about it. I usually don't weigh after a binge, but this time I did, and the damage was big: 10 lbs gain, but it only took me 8 days to lose it. Make a list of why you want to lose weight, and why you think this is a good method, and a list for all the cons of eating how you ate before and re-read it when you're feeling weak. Plus, always keep yourself busy, and don't forget to eat. I find that I'm weakest when I've gone a long time without eating, or if my calories get too low. One of the most important pieces of advice I got was never go shopping for food on an empty stomach, and it is so true. I just went to the supermarket, sans breakfast, and I really really had to control myself not to get cheese or nuts (which in my hungry mind I thought would be OK just for one day, but as I have no portion control, they would have been a disaster, and certainly not Stillman's friendly). In the end I bought what I should have (chicken, eggs, water), but additionally got some sugar/carb free iced tea, which I shouldn't have (reading the ingredients list it can not be good for you), but at least I know it probably wont affect weight loss and was a much better option than the others.

Remember, the first few days can be the hardest. That's what everyone says here. But if you're like me, I find it really hard right about now, 7 - 10 days in.... I'm bored and feeling deprived. Or if I don't see a loss every day. SOme of my strategies are to not weigh every day (though I have been  ), and I'm trying to think about it the same way I thought about giving up smoking. Whenever I get cigarette cravings these days, I know from experience of caving in and having one, that I really won't enjoy it. The same goes for [insert carb-loaded posion of choice here], if not worse. The effects of eating off plan for me are horrible, physically and mentally. I focus on that feeling of failure that I feel when I cave to stop me from doing it.

Stay strong and POWERFUL! You can do this, and you've already taken a step in the right direction.

Here! Here!!! Girl with issues here!!! You are not alone!!!!

The constant support of our friends and thinking before we react will heal our minds and bodies in time, but WE WILL GET THERE!!! We have all come a long way (even its its only been 4 days) and its time to take care of us for good!!

PS- If you have successfully completely a week on QWL..you are not a newbie anymore!!! In that week, you would have seen great results, felt sooo much better, lost a bunch of weight, eliminated the cravings, and there's nothing more to it than that!!!!

Congrats to everyone that has chosen this positive change!!!! Make it work!!

NEw Rule, or one that has been neglected....we must log in and call out our cheats before we cheat! The support and motivation of this board with have us thinking twice before we decide to go off plan...

Not that anyone's been cheating, but Im bringing it up because everyone is doing so well!! Dont stop!!! Keep it up!!!
This is a really really good rule. But it does mean that I'm going to be tripling my posting!!!!!!!!! But as I was feeling really weak (and so tempted by the chocolates sitting on the kitchen table and the yummy fresh bread smells in the supermarket) about 30 minutes ago, I can tell you all that by posting in here, it's made me reevaluate and the craving has passed. Today will be another great day. For us all!

So so sorry power!!!! Glad you are back and we'll be here to get you through it again. (stop beating yourself up! we've got the band-aids!) Keep thinking how good it feels to be dropping the weight, non feeling bloated, looking forward to new clothes, and mostly being in control. This is one of the best feelings for me and I usually overlook it! I concentrate on the great feeling of weight loss all the time but control is key!! I have no control with carbs. So sticking with the meat, keeps me in check!!!

I agree!! With most! He!! I def don't sleep better in ketosis and I have no energy...and I'm hungry!!! Yeah I think I'm just weird!! I did have all those things--but in the last few months they just wore off! Weird!!
