Happy Birthday to "Gettingthere"! I'm sure your birthday will be more enjoyable without the guilt of lying to your employer on your mind. Have a FaBuLous day!!
Hi skinny....... I eat mine with spicy mustard or I put garlic and Italian Herbs on it. I have moved from the canned tuna to the tuna in the pouches - these come in different flavors - I like lemon pepper and Garlic Herb the best - the good thing about the pouches is that you can take them with you in your purse or car and have a ready to eat, Stillman's friendly meal - just add a fork and enjoy

I also love fresh tuna steaks grilled with wasabi. But at $17-$20/pound I don't buy it too often!

Thanks, Im2!! I should try to continue the walking, I know. Have not done much since I got back. Every night I think, "Tomorrow morning I will get up and exercise early." But I don't! I know I'm gonna regret it because that's what was keeping the pounds at bay.

You sure are doing great. I'm not in a fish mood. Just thawed out some beef and gonna toss it in the crock pot with some onions and garlic and whatever other herbs I can find. I'm just hungry for meat today! Hat tons of chicken tenders yesterday. I just grilled them in a frying pan with mushrooms and seasonings and it tasted soooooooooooooo good.

On another note.....Japanese scientists have found that antioxidants in RED wine seem to reduce hunger and help block fat accumulation. Pinot Noirs have the most slimming antioxidants.......... CHEERS

Swebb: Look how you are shrinking, Girl!!! Amazing! Thanks for the info on the wine! I'm gonna go see if I have any red.....lol.

Sharon: Where in the grocery store do you find the pouches? I've never seen them, but that surely sounds convenient!

I find mine right next to the canned tuna. Starkist and Chicken of the Sea both make them. Amazon carries them online and will ship them to you as well.

Hey everyone. Down another pound today I did okay in AC yesterday... walked away with 80$ more than I went there with and my friend and I went to a buffet. I had 5 snow crab clusters and a thick slice of roasted turkey and that was all! Breakfast was coffee and a hard boiled egg and that was my menu for yesterday. Oh, yea a SF Jello cup when I got home last night. So happy the crab didn't cause me to retain water. Anyway, the bus to AC costs 20$ and you get a 20$ voucher to play on any 1 machine when you get there, so I played it on the 100$ or nothing machine and won 100$ - It's like they paid me to go there

smalls, I hope everything works out with UC!!

Yam, so happy to have you back and that you had a wonderful time in Italy, knew you would!! And age is just a number, nobody says you're supposed to feel like anything at that age!

IM2, glad you're starting to feel a little better You really have me craving tilapia now!!

Yea, definitely experience mental fatigue on this diet, especially if I've gone too many days on QWL, without incorporating some fat. I also tend to get dark circles around my eyes when I go so long without fat. Let me just say my planned cheat week, 2 weekends ago, I had a big juicy medium rare steak and for two days after, my skin was glowing!! I woke up and was just like wow, what's going on here and I think it was the steak??

Yay!!! Congrats on the new low! I would not give up on trying that again as a stall buster, I would just not incorporate processed meats! Just eat lots of beef and chicken with the skin on!

Come on Peeps. . lets kick that 10 pounds in the but!! I think I may be able to manage a walk today - how exciting is that?

I've started journaling and have kept track of everything I eat, drink or put near my mouth. I'm also trying to record the times so that I am more aware of when my problem areas are. I need to cut down on the amount of food I'm eating (eventually) but right now I'm concentrating on pure STillmans (14 Day loss. . as I do eat 2 cups of veggies. none of the other stuff ) Fish, Chicken Veggies. MMm breakfast of champions!!!

Beef Jerky Recipes

2 Recipes for Low Carb Beef Jerky made in your OVEN

Beef Jerky #1

3 pounds Sirloin or other NON-fatty meat (even venison) - sliced thin - try to get your butcher to do it OR put it in the freezer until it's partially frozen (make it MUCH easier to slice)

Liquid Smoke - I use about 6 tablespoons because I like the smokey flavor

Water - 1/3 cup

Either 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp cracked pepper OR 2 tsps McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning (I use the "Spicy" one)

Mix all ingredients together in a large ziplock bag and marinate in the refrigerator overnight.

The next day line the bottom of you oven with tin foil to catch the drips and set it to 170 degrees. Spread your beef jerky out on the racks themselves or you can use cooling racks for baked goods and put those in the oven.

Use a wooden spoon to keep the oven door slightly open (this will help the moisture escape AND make your house smell great)

Cook for 4.5 to 5 hours. You want the jerky bendable but not too dry.

Store in an airtight container or freeze if you will not be eating it right away.

Beef Jerky #2 from T-Bird

Ingredients

* 4 pounds round steak
* 4 tablespoons onion powder
* 1 1/3 teaspoons black pepper
* 1 1/3 teaspoons garlic powder
* 2 pinches salt
* 1 teaspoon dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
* 1 cup Worcestershire sauce
* 1 cup soy sauce
* 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

Directions

1. Cut meat into strips no thicker than 1/4 inch. In a large bowl, mix together onion powder, pepper, garlic powder, salt and Italian seasoning. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and pepper sauce. Place meat into a container, and combine with marinade. Cover, and refrigerate 24 hours.
2. Place oven rack on the highest level. Place aluminum foil on bottom of oven to catch drips. Preheat oven to 150 degrees F (65 degrees C).
3. Insert round toothpicks through the tops of the strips of meat, and hang them from the oven rack. Bake in preheated oven for 4 hours, or until dried to desired consistency

Don't you love digital - imagine the cost to process 500 photos - back in the day
thanks!!! I was just saying that to DD about the photos. Back in the day we had to buy film, expensive, load it, headache, and then carefully take it out so as not to over expose it, mail it in somewhere and pay a fortune to have them developed....never knowing if it was gonna all work out until we had pics in hand!

Digital tech is amazing! So fun. Thanks for the hair kudos. Decided to have one last fling before I die. lol. Just let it grow wild like a true California girl...We shall see how long that lasts. ha!
