"THOSE CLOSEST TO YOU WILL EITHER STRETCH YOUR VISION OR CHOKE YOUR DREAMS"

I want to be someone who stretches visions and I am grateful for the numerous people on this group and in my life that do the same for me!

Just thought i would say thank you for all the support in the past 3 months - without you all to motivate, inspire and occasionally kick my butt, I would have reverted back to old bad habits long ago.

looking good, just keep drinking lots of water to flush that fat out!

Down 2 more of those pounds today so I weighed in at 179.4 - almost back to sig and I was very happy to see the 170s again. I ended up biking at least 18 miles yesterday, was just feeling good. It's gonna be 90 degrees again here and in the city, it's always hotter, with all the blacktop and brick just absorbing the heat, it's like an oven!! I'll be at work most of the day so the AC will be a bit of a relief.

Off to eat my HB egg and catch up on posts.

Hi everyone! Just a quick post. I was down another pound and almost a half... So far 7.2 pounds lost since the first. 1.5 more pounds to get bk into the 180's I'm still doing the tuna thing! I'm a little freaked out because I'm down to just a few packets and my town doesn't have them anywhere. I've ordered them from amazon, but since i'm a cheapskate when it comes to shipping, they wont be shipped out until the 8th! I do have some cans of tuna, but they are kinda icky! I can tolerate them with some mustard and hard boiled egg.. i guess if i HAVE to i can eat them. BTW, the cheese sticks are gone! YAY.. i don't have to worry about them

Oh Im2--I'm so sorry. I have no other ideas-I would have taken the painkillers and done the heat pad. You're probably right about what the Dr. will say but I think if it doesn't ease any you should go. You poor thing.

IM, I know exactly what you are going through. This has been a major factor in my life. First of all, if your GP has not done so, I would call a neurosurgeon immediatly and set up an appt. The first thing mine did was tell me to take 800mg of Ibuprofin 3 X a day. No longer than 30 days because it can mess up your stomach. You may just have a pulled muscle and rest will take care of it but please get checked out, it could be something else. Mine was something else.

Something's Fishy :)

I just thought I would post part of an article I just read.......

This is from research done at the University of Cordoba in Spain. The lead researcher is Joaquin Perez-Guisado, Ph.D.

"Any diet that skimps on carbs and boosts protein will flip switches in the body that dial down hunger, increase metabolism and speed fat burning. But of all the dieter's protein choices, fish has the most fat-fighting power. Studies show that nutrients in fish not only make our anti-hunger hormones work better, they also help "ignite" fat so flab burns faster."

Fish is a known depression buster, a brain food, a heart protector and helps fight things like Parkinson's disease.

If you are worried about the mercury levels in seafood try buying "wild caught" fish like salmon, cod and halibut. For more information on safe fish check out EDF.org and search for health alerts seafood selector.

I had to go buy dog food today..... I buy big bags - they weigh 44 pounds. So, taking Al's "Thin Commandments" to heart, I picked up a bag and carried it around the store, UGH! I could barely make up and down a couple of aisles.

THIS is the amount of weight I have lost so far - I can't believe that I could actually move with that extra weight. I am going to be GRAVITY DEFYING when I reach me goal!!

Anyone else up for the "dog food" test??? Go to the store and pick up a bag a dog food that closely approximates the amount of weight you have lost and try walking around with it - you may have a better appreciation for what you have accomplished
