PURE STILLMAN'S QWL CHALLENGE
This will be a thread for those who want to do Stillman's in its purest form. Whether you want to do it for an indefinite amount of time, or for only a few days, you are welcome to join. To see the rules, please visit the sticky on QWL.
Here we can post our menus, how long we plan on doing it, and what our goals are (with time limits, if desired). I will use myself as an example. 20th May: Starting weight (on Stillman's): 216 lbs Goal 1: 28th May: 210 lbs Goal 2: 5th June: 205 lbs Goal 3: 14th June: 200 lbs Goal 4: 22nd June: 195 lbs Goal 5: 29th June: 190 lbs Goal 6: 6th July: 185 lbs Goal 7: 14th July: 180 lbs Goal 8: 22nd July: 175 lbs Goal 9: 31st July: 170 lbs :kicking:FINAL GOAL WEIGHT:kicking:: 165 lbs I plan on staying on Stillman's until I'm under 185 lbs, anything under that is a healthy BMI range for me. The weekend of 29th/30th I may not be able to do strict Stillman's but I will continue all of June. Good luck to everyone who joins! |
:hiya: Ok I will take up the Challenge :D
I have been doing "almost" a strict Stillman's since March so I will fine tune what I am eating and post my menu at the end of each day. My personal challenges will be to get enough water in every day, remember my vitamins and get some form of exercise done each day for at least 30 minutes. Sharon 256/218/125 |
Welcome Sharon! Were you 256 when you started in March? If so, WOW! Stillman's is really working for you. Keep it up! I'll post my menus at the end of the day too.

Now I KNOW if I were exercising more that number would be bigger and I would be SMALLER  |
Now that's what I'm talking about. Those kind of results in that amount of time is incredible. I'm interested to see what you eat every day. Do you count calories?

Hi Ladies, I would like to join. I will be starting tomorrow for 14 days - then I will see where I end up from there.
I hope to lose 10 pounds during this time. I don't know if that is asking too much - but we shall see. I will be spending today planning my meals and preparing my foods. I will check in daily. Have a wonderful day :) |

Menu for today was the same as yesterday: B: 1 boiled egg L: 3 boiled eggs w/ mustard. Chicken broth. D: Chicken broth and 220 gms chicken breast Liquids: 4.5 litres water. 1 litre diet coke. 2 cups tea. Total cals: 673 Weight was less this morning, but will log it tomorrow. |
Thanks! I need to go to the grocery store to make sure I have the right foods to eat for tomorrow.
Kamills: Do you eat the same thing everyday or mix it up? I noticed you have chicken broth also, so going to get some of that too. Should i get a certain brand/kind? Long term I have about 150 pounds to lose. I always attempt to do LC and fail miserably. Im hoping being in this group and help me with my willpower to stick to it. |
Myers: I usually stick to similar foods. I'm not actually that keen on red/dark meats. I love chicken and seafood, and always have opted for the leaner meats anyway. But that's not to say that I don't occasionally have some beef. Eat whatever you like on the list! I just eat similar things for simplicity and preference. But I'll get bored soon and go on to another type of meat in all liklihood!
I live in Spain, so I don't think you'll be able to get the same brand of broth as me. But check the nutritional information on the back, and make sure it is low calorie (mine is 5 cals per 100mls) and has trace carbs. It's a great way of cooking meat and fish, boiling it in broth. I add some garlic and parsely powder, some mixed herbs and ground pepper, and it fills me right up. The first few days, don't restrict your eating at all! You'll be hungry and grumpy and have headaches probably (it depends on how carbed up you are), but the weight loss is incomparable with other diets. After a few days (varies for each person, could be up to a week), you'll completely lose your appetite though you should continue to eat! Make sure you get looooooads of water. I drink over 4 litres a day. The more weight you have to lose, more water to drink. Try to get at least 2 litres. If you're not used to drinking lots of water, it will be weird at first, but your body soon adjusts. Best of luck! I'll be here at every step of the way. I need to lose just under 50lbs. |
I would love to join. My goal is 30 pounds by the end of June. My menu will be the same most days.
Bfst: 2 boiled eggs Lunch: chicken breast or turkey breast Dinner: orange roughy or cod plus tons of water |
Thanks for the response! I never thought about broiling in broth before. Normally if I want chicken I will be a roastierre (sp?) chicken and have that. Im also thinking of buying a pot roast for the crockpot, but prob not for the first few days anyways.
I do drink tons of water already so that is a plus. Im excited about starting over! Hopefully more people will join us |

The market near my home had cartons of eggs on sale. 2 - 18 carton of eggs for $3.00 -. I will be eating eggs and chicken (that's all I have right now, heehe) for the first week and then switch up next week.
My goal total is 20lbs :). Is everyone here weighing everyday? |
When I cook with broth, I purchase the low sodium and dilute it. Has anyone tried doing that before?
|
Hi Meek, I tend to weigh myself most days. But there is no fixed rule about that. Do what works for you. I sometimes dilute my broth if I'm cooking it with some type of protein which has a stronger flavour.
I'm down to 212 today!!!!! Pound a day so far. :kicking: |
Hi Ladies - just checking in. I didn't weigh today. I think I will "weight" until June 1st .
Menu: B: 2 HB eggs/Tea L: Chicken S: 1 HB egg/Tea D: Chicken I'm at work and can't use the internet all like that - so I will check in when I get home. Happy Losing Everyone :hiya:. |
Morning Ladies! Today is my day 1 of a new me :)......so far just had breakfast (3 boiled eggs).
For lunch I may have a few turkey slices and another boiled egg. Dinner will prob be some pork loin I have in the crockpot. I also plan on working out today. I will check in tonight. Have a great day!! |
Hi Michelle, you and I are starting together. Your menu looks yummy. Have a great day!!
|
I would like to join! I gained my weight back but i lost it all on Stillman's before! Today is officially my first day. I will workout on my treadmill and wii. :)
|
Hi Manal! Welcome. Myers and Meek, great menus. At least you're working out, unlike me!
|
Welcome Manal :hiya:.
|
Kamills. I will be working out as well, but not sure of the days. Does folks following this diet typically experience a stall when they incorporate exercise? I pray not.
