Still real low on the carbs today but I'm not so sure about the calories.... Hopefully maybe just a smidgen over 1000

But I still want to be down at least 5lbs by 28th. I'm 216 today, so ideally I'd like to be 210. How about you? Let's keep each other accountable!
Are you in a long distance relationship too? I was with Glenn for 3 years. He's from Salem MA and I'm from Brooklyn NY

We were living together when for about a year and a half while we were both in Chile, but I moved to the north of Spain in September, and he followed three months later, but is in Madrid, which is 6 hours away. But I'm moving in July, so it's all peachy in the end. Can't wait to be living together again, I am so sick of crappy housemates! We're coming up to three years together in a few months.

Your walk sounds really positive. I am in awe of your strength and perserverence through such a tough time. How old are you (if you don't mind me asking?)

You are so worth it!!! One thing that is repeated over and over in the book is that nothing is more unhealthy than the extra weight we are carrying. We don't ever have to worry about the calories being low or the choices being slim, or what others think. We will be better for it in the end, and following his plan the end of being overweight will come quick! If your friends dont stick around because of your diet, you dont need them! Besides, you'll always have us and we know what works!!

Today has been really good after a rocky start. First of all I had to do a sh%tty preggers test (all safe though, must be down to weight loss from last month) which I'd been putting off... But I'm two weeks late grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Then of course I had the horrible weigh in, and thirdly I'm just in a generally foul mood as I usually am in the first few days of QWL. But now it's night, and I've had a successful day, I'm feeling positive.

Menu:

B: 3 boiled eggs with mustard
L: 3 boiled eggs with mustard
D: Broth and chicken breast
Fluids: 1 litre diet coke (didn't manage to stay away as planned, but upped my water to compensate), 4.5 litres water

Now I'm off to have a shower and get to bed! Night ladies and gent.

Amen to Stillman's in it's purest form. It will work. Stillman is my God.

After re-reading his vitamin requirements I bet our pills of today are packed with a lot more than that! Wish I had a bottle handy to compare...

Just turned 30 in March. Glenn was 31 when he took his life away. I met him thru a friend of mine that lives out in MA and she knew Glenn and introduced us when I was 26.

Hi Meek! Welcome! Cals--as few as possible!! No seriously just eat when you're hungry--only meat, fish and eggs-stick to it and you'll drop the last 20 in record time!! Def go and read the sticky-all the info is there!!

this is funny.....my how times have changed since 1969....

Stillmans talking about minimal utilization of calories. First he describes a man with 8 hours of work, 1 hour of activity getting ready for work, 6 hours of activity after work, like walking, sitting etc, 1 hour of preparatory to retiring, and 8 hours of bed rest. The total calories used was 2820.

Then he gives figures for a woman: 8 hours of household activities, 8 hours of walking, sitting, resting, and 8 hours of bed rest. 2080 calories burned.

Wonder what IM2's comes out to be with 1 hour getting ready to work, 10 hours of work, 8 hours of household activities, 4 hours of walking and sitting, 1 hour prepatory for retiring the kids, 1 hour to retire hubby, 1 hour of book reading, 3 hours on LCF....oops she ran out of hours in her day for sleep, but if she gets to, she'll burm even more! Total calories burned is priceless. All that and throw in a shake weight!

Al, do you always have your QWL book with you at work?? You must look so busy, reading and typing away!!!

You'll know it off by heart!! It could be your specialist subject on "Mastermind" (a quiz show)
