I don't think we'll be in much danger here, so little of it comes from the Gulf. I'm sure the FDA and EPA will be all over it, watch the prices go up up up!

Surly? It must be your game face, I never would have guessed.

BTW about the pic you posted, I finally nailed it. The boots did it for me, it's blonde Angelina Jolie = I'm thinking Tomb Raider and the married spy flick with Brad. You def have that don't mess with me or you'll be neutered look about you

Blech. I could never understand the fascination. For sweets, Period.

Like a handful of M&M's and it's over, okay what would really be good now. I never wanted desserts when we went out. Just bring me seconds. If I have to get one I get something nightmarish for DH.

It's wicked for some people, I know, but I never arrived at the station. I skipped that stop and got off at bread cereal and pasta.

Show me the ribeye, meatballs, hot dogs (*turkey of course) chili now yer TALKIN'!!!!!!!!!

So after someone posted about thrift shops, I got some jeans that really did fit at the local Goodwill. After washing them, I could not find them yesterday. Guess where they were? On hubby's stack! Yes, he's a lot skinnier than me and when I took them out of the dryer they must have looked like his!

That made my day.

Report: 'Law & Order' Canceled After 20 Years
Although NBC has made no official announcement, the cast and crew of "Law & Order" reportedly were told Thursday night that the show has been canceled.
The series is wrapping up its 20th season, a tie with "Gunsmoke" for the longest-running drama in history. Insiders expected NBC to sign the series for at least one more season to set a record, but creator and executive producer Dick Wolf has reportedly asked for more money than the network wants to spend, according to the L.A. Times.
If NBC cancels the show, Wolf may offer it to TNT

and, finally, today's humorous note:

Three Men on a Hike
Three men were hiking through a forest when they came upon a large
raging, Violent river. Needing to get to the other side, the first man
prayed: ' God, please give me the strength to cross the river. '

Poof! ... God gave him big arms and strong legs and he was able to swim
across in about 2 hours, having almost drowned twice.

After witnessing that, the second man prayed: 'God, please give me
strength and the tools to cross the river.'

Poof! ... God gave him a rowboat and strong arms and strong legs and he
was able to row across in about an hour after almost capsizing once.

Seeing what happened to the first two men, the third man prayed: 'God,
please give me the strength, the tools and the intelligence to cross the
river.'

Poof! . He was turned into a woman. She checked the map, hiked one
hundred yards up stream and walked across the bridge.

Hey everyone. Just a quick check in before I turn on Celebrity Apprentice and call it a night. Menu today:
B: 1 HB egg, coffee
L: 5ozs grilled chicken
D: Green Tea, chicken soup w/ 5ozs grilled chicken
S: SF Jello cup (maybe)

Calories were pretty low, about 590 but I was running around like crazy at work and couldn't eat and now I feel satisfied so that's where they're staying.

Smallerizing, it's not the chocolate talk that offends me, it's any talk about potatoes, rice or veggies! Those are my weaknesses. Ha, but yea, I mentioned the 'C' word once, won't be doing it again, haha, but don't you mention my trigger words either

Okie, talk to all you awesome losers tomorrow~

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! It's definitely motivating.

I drove to the beach today and sat on the sand reading my copy of Dr. Stillmans book. (Wore pants and a shirt, since I'm not ready for a swimsuit or shorts yet.) Have 100+lbs to lose......haven't weighed recently. Will see what the scale says tomorrow. I'm soooo motivated after reading this board.

Will keep everyone posted! Thanks again.

Chantyl, some of us are too weak willed to stay on the low-fat, low-carb all the time, so for my part I'm cycling off and on. I get the quick weight loss, then maintain or even gain, then back to the loss. I'm experimenting with this and it seems to work for me, when Atkins was not effective anymore. I'm new here so I'm still learning. If you can do it by the book, you will get a faster loss, I'm sure.

I was just craving the "real" chocolate after all that talk, and hoping I can stick to at least the low-carb kind. Gwn says she pushed her Stillman's cycle longer and longer, and look what a loser she is! (No offense, Gwn)

What I love about this board is that people like me can feel welcome and not put down if I have a weak moment, but encouraged to keep up the good work and minimize the mistakes. Everyone seems so positive and cheerful, and that HAS to be a good ingredient for any strict eating regimen like Stillman's. Fact is, Stillmans works if I work!

Everyone has their own story, history, and plan. The important thing is to keep yourself healthy and to find a WOE that is sustainable for the long run. I'm 55 and have a serious ch_______ addiction. My current plan with the rotation through three healthy diets has allowed me to lose, but if I see it doesn't, I may have to cut out the coconut oil, too. I know it's not "by the book" but this crew is putting up with me anyway, (so far) and in fact there are a few who cycle between QWL and high-fat. The "real" Stillman's, I don't believe, allows this.

Hope this answers your question! I didn't want to sabotage your plan since you are doing so well! "No ch_______ for you!!" Good luck and happy losing!

CCGirl, I just read the link to the home care products, about triclosan in antibacterial soaps! This was alarming because my DD has just been diagnosed as borderline for thyroid problems, and thyroid cancer runs in DH's family! I will have to check things out and do some shopping. I'm all about using safe alternatives for personal care and cleaning. Thank you!

And thanks also for the funny story!
