Smallerizing, I cycle off Stillman's and do low carb with high fat days. I always gain... Usually 2-3lbs, this last go, it was 5lbs and I DON'T eat veggies. You can see by my signature which two weeks I did high fat, there was almost no loss or there was a gain. I have taken those 5lbs off quickly and extra weight along with it. I think it's a good idea... I'm starting to do more and more days between my high fat days, now that I'm in the swing of things with Stillman's... It gets easier with time.

Favorite way to eat chicken? marinated and grilled Favorite way to eat tuna? with wasabi and pickled ginger Favorite way to eat lean ground beef? plain burger w/low sugar catsup and thinly slices homemade low salt garlic dill pickles or cooked and drained with som BAM! Emeril cajun seasoning and hot sauce Favorite way to eat pork? stir fry with garlic powder, bit of Splenda and low salt soy sauce or just grilled with BAM; place chops in a strong resealeable bag with some bourbon, garlic, splenda, cumin. Leave overnight then grill. Favorite way to eat eggs? no favorite just show me a fork but I do like 'em with fresh snipped chives from the garden scrambledhint for you city gals, if you have fresh chives or scallios with the root still on, eat the tops then stick them in a glass with some water and put in a sunny window-they will start to grow. Change the water weekly and snip off what you need, pot them when the roots get long. Favorite way to eat steak? Rub with BAM and grill Favorite way to eat cottage cheese? plain. I love it. For you gals that can't stomach it: drain in a strainer to get most of the liquid out. It makes wonderful faux ricotta, just toss in the blender. After draining and blending: Add green onion, garlic powder and celery seed for a great ranch dip. Spread roast beef slices with the dip and roll 'em for an appetizer worthy of a party. Add cocoa powder and splenda for chocolate mousse. Add lemon juice or extract and Splenda for lemon pudding. Add to cooked ground beef with seasonings of your choice and a cheat tbsp of salsa for a creamy taco filling style dish. Add Splenda, tomato paste (tbsp) red wine vinegar and capers for a mock Picadillo (Cuban ground beef) Add LC BBQ sauce for manwich filling, great for kids only you have to know and no bun for you I could go on and on. And don't be afraid of Linda's recipes, just make substitutions! Virtually anything can be made with less fat. I catered my Dad's wedding reception for 75 people myself. I left for CT on a Friday with all the groceries and started cooking. The food was less than 200.00 and that included the caterer style foil chafing dishes and fuel to keep it all warm. I am Emeril in drag. I grew up in Miami, my grandparents were from Texas and Louisiana. Whole lotta food heritage goin' on. Yes I am Emeril in drag![]() Last edited by CCGirl; 05-14-2010 at 06:00 PM.. |

Okay guys... done eating for the day. Menu is:
B: 1 HB egg, Coffee L: 8ozs grilled chicken w/ hot sauce Iced Coffee D: A big bowl of chicken soup (probably 6ozs of shredded chicken in it) S: SF Jello cup Got my gallon of water in and calories are about 860 I'm sorry I didn't get to post much today... Work was busy. I did however get to catch up on all the reading! I just finished doing laundry and realized that one of the benefits of losing weight is that I put most of my laundry in the dryer.... Weeks ago, there would have been several pieces of clothing that I would have hang dried for fear of them shrinking even a tiny bit and not fitting properly! Now that things are getting baggy, I *want* them to shrink! Ha. Have a great night everyone! |

Gwn, thanks for the encouragement! And I see you are at about 50 lbs lost, so I know you must know what you are talking about! I haven't felt this positive about losing for years.
Guuurlll, you are so funny -- putting clothes in the dryer now to shrink them!![]() IM2 -- you inspired me to go to the thrift store today, and I got some jeans that fit, 2 pretty shirts, and 2 pairs of pants. One is really tight, and I'll use it on those days when I know I'll be tempted. Of course the baggy pants help keep me motivated because I can see I'm finally losing, at least for now. Still not holding my breath, but feeling a lot more confident!
