But then what's the wobbly stuff you put with ice-cream, not the syrup--you make it by melting a chunk of it in boiling water and then letting set in the fridge-we call it jelly. It has flavours like strwbery etc. It's not the clear thing-that's gelatin I think!
Nope didn't know that's what Jello was-thought that's what ye called jam!!!
The wobbly stuff that "sets" in the fridge . . is ususally called Jello (Name Brand) but is actually Gelatin. .It comes in many flavors.. Perhaps others put it with ice cream. . I never have?? I know also put whipped cream on it??

Toast Jam and Jelly. . Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. . Mmmm. .don't get me going. .

In years but not spirit!!!

BTW...Stillmans says you CAN lose 9 pounds in 9 days!! That guy is a good liar. But Im almost getting to the part where he goes over QWL in detail again....Im going to read in between the lines to see what we're all doing wrong! Reading the "patient testimony is kinda tickin me off"...

Im also thinking about when I'm not an "overweight" to follow his lead and try "The inches Off". Although I got down pretty low there are definitely areas that buldge out. If his calculations are correct, I may be able to flatten them out!

Im really not sure now...He says I need 1200 calories to maintain. (remember, Im sedentary) That number is for "after" the diet. YIKES!! I dont think I have been totally true to this. We should all revisit the rules and go through our menus with a magnifying glass. I am going to give this an honest to goodness, no cheat, shot, and see if I can prove him right.

Now, he says to eat all you want until full. Not stuffed. I am guilty of stuffing myself with loads of meat and for most days, its all day long. I am going to practice more control. (I think Gwn has this good. She eats a little bit throughout the day, tracks her calories, shes not hungry and the calories are always low) I eat way too much. Yeah it still works and eventually I lose, but Im ready to get this done now! So thats that. Cutting portions in half starting.....Monday. ( really want the whole porterhouse to myself...so greedy..I am)

Before April my cals were very low-they were averaging about 800--and I lost barely anything!!! I was thinking this time of doing the opposite and upping!! Well ina couple of weeks time!!
He was always really stingy with cals!! What did he say I need?

More topic for debate::: He says that "Inches Off" pulls the fat from between your muscles. Inches off is a low protein diet (opposite QWL), so wouldnt we be losing muscle mass and thats bad, or is it good because we really are losing extra fat. How does one know for sure....I hate conflicting evidence or theories...

Yikes I'm just thinking--I read that if you want to lose a pound a week(eh no I want more!) you should lower your cals by 500 a day..so that would mean you should only be eating 700. See he was really mean!!
How could he think you could lose 9lbs a week??? That's like 3500 x 9 (too lazy to calcuate that!) that you'd either have to burn or do without!!! I'm thinking those testimonials are iffy!!!!

I'll just type it all out for inquiring minds...

5' - 98
5'1 - 100
5'2 - 105
5'3 - 110
5'4 - 115

and keep adding 5 for every inch!

That's exactely what I said!!!!!!!!!!! I so think that's a contradiction. I don't believe it at all. Cos everything about high protein diets say that what you lose is fat and not muscle mass and muscle is what keeps the metabolism up so if you lose muscle then you have to eat less and less.
About it making you smaller-yeah it prob would work if you were a big body builder, but not for normalos!!
I think he should have stuck to one theory!

What are these? What weight I should be? Yikes! I'm 5'6 and a half--that half is very important--it lets me be 2.5lbs heavier!!!
I should be 125. (even doing those maths were taxing on my brain cell! I kid you not!)Oh! I thought he had much lower weights than that.
I want to be lighter than that.

Ok now I'm laughing at the screen!! I meant that!!! But still--how???? I don't get it!!! Well I suppose if you ate nothing but salad then because of the sheer bulk youir cals would be very low so yeah you would lose and become skinny......oh just as I wrote that I think goody!!...no but seriously I def your metabolism would drop big time.So yeah you would get skinny(good) but you'd have to eat much less to not put it back on. Mine is pretty slow at the best of times!!
We need a guinea pig to test it out!!!
