I heard something interesting today on the radio..

The commentator claimed you can lose weight by eating all natural (unprocessed) foods. . which is pretty close to what all those diet books preach . think hunter/gatherer . fruit, nuts, meat, fish . . ..

If it comes through the car window, it's not food
If it wasn't food 100 years ago, it's not food now! Don't eat it. .

not today, but I did yesterday. told you they cause me cravings....I do plan on taking them tonight and hubby informed me there are no more leftover thighs. darn him! He eats my meat and then asks me to pick up wine... liquid diet tonight folks.... unless nermo tells me no!

At least take a multi, Al! I'm serious. . your hubby is correct about that. .You need it! You really, really do. . Every single book, every single Doc will tell you that. . Do it now!! And the cravings will cease just like they do when you start induction. . Your body is adjusting and will thank you . . your hair, face, teeth, nails and your sleep will be so much better. . Do it. .

Hi ladies! I love the discussion today. Okay, so I stopped at Trader Joe's on my way home since I had no lean meats (argh, forgot to get tuna there). So I decided to get the super lean ground turkey breast meat and I also got some 96% fat free ground beef. I've never had beef on Stillman's and I'm not sure why I bought it, except maybe I was being defiant? IDK. But I cooked the turkey and beef together and drained any extra fat. So I scoop myself up a bowlful which, by eying up, appeared to be 1/3 portion (of 2 1/4lbs meat). Which I thought seemed like a lot but it wasn't like overflowing in my bowl. So I get 2/3 through it and I'm stuffed to the gills so I decide I'm going to save the rest, after a few more bites and while I'm packing up the other two portions, I'm still stuffing my face with the bowl I had and I'm feeling so stuffed and my stomach is hanging over my pants but I was like well this will throw the other portions off, might as well eat it. So here I sit, feeling like a stuffed tick and omg so angry with myself for not stopping when my brain told me I was full! Well I just input my menu today into ****** and my calories are only 816 so that's good. But, I just know, after all these years, I still have no been able to control my portions and the discussions today have definitely got me thinking!

Menu today:
B: 1 HB egg, coffee
L: 6ozs chicken breast
D: 8ozs ground turkey, 5ozs ground beef w/ mustard & hot sauce
Got my gallon of water in and I will probably have a SF Jello cup tonight

IM2, thanks for the book title, I'm going to definitely look into it! Oh, and thanks for the vitamin reminder, completely forgot!

IM- I guess I am lucky no fish oil pills for me ever! I am allergic to a lot of different fish. I eat things that have Omega 3 at least. I do Tuna a lot just no pills.

Well I am doing great but really having a sweet tooth craving night so I might just go to bed early.

I did go tonight to the store and bought a clearance pair of Ralph Lauren pants in a size 10 petite. A little tight but they were on and buttoned.

Well have a good night and get out of the fridge.

Just a quickie today.. doing well.. still over worked and running around like crazy. Its raining here today and I have a ton of clients! 13 hrs worth.. so i better get going. down a pound! TOM still not here. Sorry i havent been able to keep up. I'm on call this weekend so hopefully i wont get any calls and i can spend some time reading! i sure miss all of ya!

Down to171 this morning! Today will be challenging. I'm going to my brother's house to help with the flood cleanup, and making lunch. Yesterday I was slammed for time so I didn't shop yet. I'm thinking maybe grill some steaks and bring a salad, but I hate salad without nice oily dressing on it. I'm not familar enough with Stillman's to make a yummy meal out of it! One thing I will be bringing is sweet potatoes to bake. My DH loves them and my brother tries to eat low-glycemic. I think the glycemic index is what you are talking about with the good carbs/bad carbs thing.

So maybe I will eat low-glycemic today instead of Stillman's, then start up right again on Monday. I'm surprised at the whoosh, and hopefully I can keep some of it off. My face looks skinnier, I don't gag so much when I look at it. No, I'm not kidding!

Gwn - Im so curious to see what your weigh in today was after the beef and turkey fest! Better be down!!!! See when it tastes so good we cant stop!

I had about 3 cups of lean ground beef too last night (I even drained it which I dont normally do. (trying to be good). Guess what?! I lost 2 pounds. Ladies and Bass, Im back to my pre-vacation weight and it took 13 days. Thanks for listening to my rants and raves and dealing with my wacky emotions. All is good in my world again.

Has anyone checked out thier floaties today? I swear all along I just thought there was dust in the water....they are really there!

(they show up more after you take vitamins and the water is bright!!!)
