When I first started out, I used mustard on everything. Now, plain and simple, salt & pepper works just fine. I used to throw in lots of seasonings and sometimes still do. Like, cumin and chili powder and celery seed are great in tuna! I try to buy the tuna in the pouches, and they have just enough liquid in them to swallow it. Ive also used hot sauce.

Stillman says you can use ketchup, but I like to stay away form it. It makes food taste better and I eat more! If you can control it, go with the low carb stuff. If your results are not optimum, you'll have to cut it out.

I definitely feel my calves after a good bike ride and um, if it's a hilly ride, where I'm going up a good amount of small hills, then I feel my thigh muscles. I never feel anything in the rear, but there is a lot of padding back there!

Speaking of cumin, I made a great chili a few days ago, to munch on for my high fat days. OMG, *drool*, just some ground beef, chopped up italian sausage, a can of stewed tomatoes, 2 tablespoons tomato paste and lots of cumin. I topped it with some shredded cheddar and sour cream. One small bowl full really filled me up! It's amazing... Back when I was high carb, I probably could have easily eaten two heaping bowls.

MMMMM Chili!!! I think I want to make some tonight. I guess Stillman's is still too hard for me, so I am trying to switch from that to LC. I can't seem to give up my bacon and I bow down to those who are doing strictly Stillman's. I did 3 minutes of my shake weight today. But I did 1 min, stopped and did other things, then another min., etc. and then another minute. I THINK I am starting to notice a slight slight difference...but it might just be my imagination. I know I am def. losing inches b/c people are starting to tell they realize that I am losing weight. I still want the scale to move!
*GT* The peppermint chocolate coffee is AMAZING and I might make another cup of it! I will try to send you a link and maybe you can order some?
*BBP* 3 lbs.!!! Wooooohooo, tell that Woosh/linebacker/marine Fairy to come visit me and Im2Fat!!

No, I really don't think there are any hidden carbs in them. It's what you add to it that can be filled with carbs. Lol, I am a coffee addict. I need to eat a HB or some chicken breast instead of drinking my coffee.

My menu today was 2 HB eggs and a turkey breast and lots of water and tea!! You gotta love ketosis for the no hunger, I missed that when I was eating too many carbs at home, I was literally hungry all the time! Oh yeah and I was down 1.5lbs this morning so I'm only 3 away from my stats...still sickening that I but on that much tho!

My plan was once I got to goal, that I would definitely incorporate some grains and veggies into my diet but to always do my best to avoid sugar! After a few days on high fat, I can definitely see the appeal in making that a way of life. I was soo full after every meal and never felt snackish between meals, it's like a blessing! I have no advice, just throwing some thoughts out there too...
Al/Gwn: Portion control is a big issue with me, as well. It has taken me a long time to understand, or maybe the word is realize, that I don't need to fill my plate completely - I don't need seconds and I don't have to finish what the kids leave behind. That old school thinking of waste used to make me feel guilty but I end up paying for it in the long run in more ways than one. I do; however, love the idea that I am not starving like I used to be - going back to carbs is a scary thing but I do miss my fruits/veggies. . I have to go find that book. . I think I was reading it in the bathtub this morning. . one of my crazy habits. . better than eating in it, I guess! Bubbles, book, hot coffee. . Mmmm. .What a way to start my day. .

You are so right about not being starving. I ate my tuna today but didnt need it. Just thought I should have it. Im not really hungry now, but the thought of more chicken thighs is making me drool. Maybe the extra fat, for me, is just like cheese or ketchup. It makes the meat taste so darn good I cant stop. There you have it. You guys are right. Fat is to stay away from.

I may have mentioned this before but I purposely by the 8 inch paper paltes now, so my plate is always full. I should start buying the 4 inch, I guess. Its so unfeminine but a lot of the time my meat never makes it to a plate.

Does anyone not feel full even when they eat a big plate of meat? I can literally eat 2-3 chicken breasts and still feel like my tummy is flat. If it were 4 oz of steak green beans and mashed potatoes, my stomach would be protruding and I would be stuffed befiore I could finish it. (but I would probably finish it anyway...)
