Makeme - I can't believe you lost 9lbs in a day You gotta love Stillman's.GT - Yes, the Irish are just as good, if not better at finding booze. Funny how when I stopped drinking so much, I actually gained weight. Maybe I should go back to the boozing. Nowadays, I only have a couple of glasses of wine a month. Yesterday being one of those days, and it made me eat bad stuff. Not to mention the cravings I've got now. Btw, thought I'd share a yummy non-low carbing boozy recipe with you all. It's a typical Chilean drink called borgoña. Take a punnet of strawberrys, cut them up, and cook on a low heat with a generous sprinkling of icing sugar (or splenda if you want to make the it a little less carby) until the juice is bubbling (this shouldn't be for longer than about 5 minutes). Wait to cool, then add a bottle of red wine. Chill and serve. So so good. And yet so so bad at the same time. I'm craving like mad today. Just need to get though it and I'll be fine for the rest of the week. Happy Sunday! |

OK. .I think I'm gonna ride my bike to the store for My Sunday coupons. . I love my coupons!! I wonder if one of my teenagers is up for the challenge. . doubt it but evil mom is going to wake them up anyway!!! My son went on his second date yesterday . .
![]() She's a very nice girl but I don't like that he's growing up. . Makes me start to feel my age!! But, I'm glad for him. .he's always been very quiet so I think this was a huge step for him. (plus she's a yacker). He just grins and listens!

I just made some Sausage patties. I've never made them before...boy they were good!
I used extra lean pork mince, onion salt, pepper, chilli powder and a little fresh thyme. I grilled them and then topped with a thin slice of low fat mature cheddar and a poached egg. Better than a Mc Muffin! My appetite is really decreasing now but I really want to try to keep my calorie intake between 1000-1200 per day. I worry if I drop too low my body will get use to living on few calories and then when I eat a higher amount I will gain. Any views or experience on this? I made my mini-goal for May 1 day early!
![]() The scale showed a 2 pound loss this morning. That is a TOTAL of 41 pounds in 2.5 months and 12 pounds for the month of May. I think I just might be in ONEDERLAND by my early July birthday ![]() THANKS for all the motivation and support (even when I was whining) |

Hey everyone! Congrats to all the losers and double congrats to nermo for getting into onederland! I woke up early and had a really long bike ride through the forests and salt marshes of Delaware. It was beautiful and a real big workoutsince the trail was gravel! I estimated about 13 miles I rode. Had a chef salad when I got home. My weight is a total guessing game but I am enjoying not being able to weigh in for a few days!

Four Great Snacks
The best way to stay on track is to eat small snacks throughout the day. 1. Greek chicken bites. Mix together marjoram, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, oregano, coriander, cardamom, thyme and paprika. Add the tiniest pinch of nutmeg, cloves and ground anise seeds. Cut a skinless, boneless chicken breast into one-inch cubes and dry rub with the herb and spice mixture. Allow to marinate, then cook in a non-stick pan, stirring constantly to keep herbs from burning. Cook until chicken is cooked through, but still moist. 2. Mock vanilla ice cream. Use a blender or food processor to turn non-fat cottage cheese to a creamy consistency. Add a drop of vanilla and zero-carb sweetener to taste. Freeze, stirring every 15 minutes or so, until it is just beginning to harden. 3. Shrimp cocktail. Stir seafood seasoning into fat-free or nearly fat-free chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add shrimp and simmer until cooked. Drain, cool and serve with cocktail sauce . 4. Mock chicken salad. Blend a hard boiled egg, enough water to make it the consistency of salad dressing, seasoned salt, a pinch of celery seed and a bit of garlic powder. Mix in a splash of vinegar and a little bit of zero-carb sweetener to taste. Cut cooked chicken or turkey breast into cubes, add the egg mixture and serve. |
