Al: I'm soooooooo glad I brought my scale! It's keeping me on the straight and narrow, so to speak. Yesterday morning I hopped on the scale, it was still the same but I sure wish it would go down again!

Anyway, I worked out in the gym for 2 hours then took a nice soaking bath and headed out for the castle tour.

There were 22 of us and we rode through Napa Valley to St. Helena and toured the Castillo De Amorosa (which in English means "The Castle of Love")

It is 121,000 square feet!!! Amazing! Yes one hundred and twenty one thousand square feet.

We walked and walked from about 11:30 to 3:00 and then had a wine tasting in the wine cellar. Back at the hotel last night our business group had a grape stomping contest. It was hilarious. I got some awesome pictures of my DH who was on the winning team. After that we headed out for a fancy dinner. It was filet mignon w/ asparagus, a light side salad and mashed potatoes. I took a few tastes of the mashed potatoes, I have to admit!!!

I ate all the steak and all the asparagus and had 2 glasses of marvelous cabernet savignon.

I'm still the same on the scale today. Gonna go for a power walk AND workout in the gym AND swim laps! Hoping that will knock some fat loose!

My clothes are surely fitting better and when I look in the mirror, I can actually see that I have a waist!!!!!

Ok, gonna go back and keep reading! I'm trying to catch up and enjoying every minute of it!

I am a huge fan of eggs. One of my favorite breakfasts is a ground beef omelet! I just whisk 3 eggs and while they are cooking in a nonstick skillet, I heat up some leftover ground beef in the microwave and throw it in the omelet. If I have any hard block, white, lf mozzerella I will sprinkle a little on before I fold the eggs over.

It's so filling, some times I eat half for breakfast and then the other half for lunch!

Another great idea is a turkey/egg white breakfast sandwich (without the bread). Just put some turkey slices on a plate, sprinkle a little LF farmer type cheese on the top (or you could use cottage cheese if you like it) put it in the microwave for about 35 seconds. Meantime whip up one egg white, season it with garlic powder, lemon pepper, basil, dill weed, anything you like. Cook it in one of those tiny one egg skillets (they are about as big in diameter as a small hamburger bun) and then put the egg on top of the turkey. Yum!!!

If I am doing Protein Plus for a few days I might put it on top of half a sandwich thin (the whole grain ones. half is 11 carbs and 3 grams of fiber, so it's not a bad cheat).

I've also done cottaqe cheese, sprinkled with lots of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice (which is a combo of cloves, nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon) and a little splenda. Heat that up in the microwave and it tastes like a hot breakfast cereal. Eat it cold, very cold, and it tastes like a dessert!!

Otherwise, I always have lots of hard boiled eggs around so I can grab and go if necessary. Sometimes I'll eat one with the yolk and then just the white of another. Very filling.

With it, I drink hot or iced tea. Right now I'm a huge fan of a tea called "Passion". It turns a nice red color and when I pour it over a huge glass of ice right after I brew it, it just feels like such a treat!!!

Hi everyone. Well, my high fat days are taking their toll. I am up exactly 5lbs to 192.8 - grrrr. I can definitely tell I'm bloated. Today is my last high fat day... I was gonna do Stillman's but had too much food in the fridge I felt bad about throwing away and couldn't refreeze. 5lbs and I haven't even eaten any veggies. So tuna, eggs and chicken for me starting tomorrow. Back to work today after 3 days off in a row and I am not feeling it today. Bleh. Yes, that is my mood. Bleh about gaining 5lbs and bleh about working. And triple bleh about spending the rest of the week getting this 5lbs back off.

Alright, going to catch up on the posts now...

Hey Lovies....and BigBassPlayer!!
I've been a busy little bee lately and really have had no time to relax, let alone update I admit I cheated a little Yesterday. It marked 6 months that Glenn has passed and I had a break down and I opened a bottle of Corona and downed it...After that I went right to bed.
I have been doing pretty decent tho & haven't been over-doing it. But ((Im2Fat)) I do not feel a loss at all. This might be because Tom is here with a vengence and is retaining all of this water I have been guzzling down! Are we still on for the weigh in tomorrow....whether good or bad news?

I bought some real lean 93/7 ground meat. I'm making hamburger patties with it. I bought some 2% block cheese. Is it ok for me to eat that on my burger?

Hi Denise
I've read some of your posts and I'm really sorry for what your going through. I pray that you have some good family and friends to lean on during this time.
I'm glad your doing something good for yourself with this stillmans diet. I think, for me, good results will affect me in more ways than 1.
Stay positive. Take care

Hey BBP, Thanks...It's hard at times...I do have my breakdowns and that is when I really think I need to go for help. But most of the time, more than not, I am slowly getting by. I'm kind of doing my own kind of diet, so I'd say GO for the cheese on the burger since it is low in carb, but being a deli expertise (lol), I do know that cheese is high in fat and that really isn't allowed on the Stillman's diet. All in all, we are here to kick A$$ And lose our weight!

If you make me, I will . .but I'd be OK weighting, too. . for some reason, I don't feel like I've had a loss, either . .I wasn't perfect yesterday but so far today I have been. .Just let me know what you are up for and I'll follow. .I'm thinking Friday or Monday might be better. . can we hold out that long?

I'm thinking the 2% cheese would not be too bad. .Stillmans want a low fat but if you read the fine print. .he says low fat cottage cheese. . and I think the 2% is even less. I would try to limit it to 4 oz or less a day. .that way you are still on track for slow carb release. I'm reading up on lo carb living right now because I know I am going to have to go back to eating the little devils someday and I want to be ready!

I would say your menu looks great! I think ground beef is OK in moderation . I found that when I feel hungry, it does fill me up more. . you just have to watch the fat, again. . . I was eating it several times a day for awhile and couldn't lose an ounce. .
