Unfortunately, we live in a time when you really need to take control of your own health and insist that some things get done. I am glad that your thyroid is normal. . I still believe mine is a little wacked but Doc said the meds are working. . We will be -ing for you . but I'm sure you'll be fine. . .

i was just brushing up on the Stillman's book this morning and he said if you eat Tuna that is oil packed, to rinse in a strainer first. . it washes away most of it. . Can't hurt to try if you really love it!!!

Al! Isn't it amazing that we keep putting ourselves through so much torture? If we didn't have that first bite initially. .we'd still be "craving" free. . I keep reminding myself. . say no. . it'll pay off in the long run. . I feel like I am on Day 2 today myself so we shall be grouchy together. . I am queen of grouchiness this week.. I can hardley stand myself..

Don't worry about it Kam. You picked the strictest, toughest, diet out there and we all make mistakes along the way. You got the right idea about starting over, but I would suggest right now! Dont be like me and let those bites turn into 3 days!!! You can do this! (You'll probably see a gain tomorrow, but the day after there will be a whoosh! Promise)

we all break from time to time! just pick yourself up and wipe the crumbs from your mouth! Drink lots of water today and you need to eat. If you don't your blood sugar will get to low and your body will crave more carbs to keep it going! Forgive yourself and move past today! We love ya!

I know! I know!!! We can be so dumb sometimes!!! I had my fun and now Im done! (I know I said this a few times in the last couple weeks, but I really mean it. Im trying real real hard to be good now.)

i made the best low carb BBQ sauce! I took diabetic ketchup added in a few shakes of hickory liquid smoke and some splenda... omg.. it tastes as good as the real stuff. I put it on some pork i made last night and i feel like i'm sitting here cheating away! And its low carb yay! i have missed bbq sauce the most! i dont care for any sauces except A1 bbq and ranch! now if i could figure out how to do a low carb A1... hmmmmm

Thanks girlies, you get me through the tough times. Lisa, great news about the doc! Even more reason to stick your way rather than hers! Al, as always, you are such a great support. I can't weigh tomorrow or Sunday, as I won't have scales (probably for the best!). So Monday I hope to be 209. No more crappy eating. Trying to drink water, but my tummy hurts sooooo much. Have already been on the potty twice. Seriously, the side affects have not been pretty. Pain, poop and pity.

Hi peeps! Anyone out there?! I'm just sitting down with 2 HB eggs and tea and I thought I'd look in and eek 3pages!!
Miserable day-got soaked but think the sun's coming out now! Had ground turkey for breakfast!!---was actually very good!! Hee! I didn't have enough time to boil the eggs-the turkey was quicker! Just had a shower(did 1.5hrs on the bike) and I'm just whinging to myself about my hair---I hate it-it's so short. And it's really straight too (well for mine)cos I got a thing called a 12week blow-dry cos I thought it would make the cut sit better-it sooo doesn't! Ok it is shiny and there's never frizz when it rains but still! I wish it would grow! Ok I'm gonna shut up now and go and read the posts!!

Ok let alone do ye use diff temps then us- and measures like ounces etc ye obviously calculate cholesterol differently than we do!! Ours should be under 4!! Can't wait when you tell the Dr. Lisa about QWL--make sure you bring a camera to get her face!!

What are AS? I'm guessing artificial sweetners! I don't take any not even chewing gum! I'm too afraid it would stall me. I think it would because I checked ketosis after eating an Atkins-style bar and I was kicked out for a while. I would love a diet coke sometimes!!
