Oh I remembered when I got my hair cut from really long to a short bob--I said oh lovely, thank you to the stylist--and then went home and cried for days!!!!! Extensions were to expensive--and the girl said oh you're hair is too short (talk about rubbing salt onto the wound!) so I bought a big long ponytail-and wore it everyday!!! That was years ago now!! I grew it long again but then Dec.08 I went for the chop again and I really like it! I much prefer long hair but I know it suits me better short and choppy!!
I still hate when the stylist comes after me with the scissors tho! A hairdressers inch is not the same as everyone else's!!!!

I got mine cut short a few months ago and looooooove it... The only "con" is having to go get it cut again (tonight is the night) every 5-6 weeks, but I love my stylist and she always waxes my brows for free... Speaking of which, there is a jungle going on up there right now...it's time!

Yeah I agreee!! Mine has got below my shoulders now--so it's at the stage where I'm thinking should I grow it long or cut a couple of inches off!! As I said I much prefer long hair........... Oh I need the eyebrows done too-I was just looking in the mirror this morning and thinking that!!
Enjoy the hairdressers tonight!!!

I know-it's just so slow! You will lose the pounds by the wedding tho, I'm sure. I really do believe it's gotta work! I know I whinge-a lot!! But if you just keep going eventually it has to work! Look at everyone's weight-loss---QWL does work!!!
And what do they say--if you keep believing something, eventually it will come true!!!!

For me as well!!

My sister made my favorite dessert last night...I resisted and asked that she not leave any of it here. Well, she either forgot or did not listen

I am determined to throw it away before eating any...if it comes to that!

Be strong!!

Alison- I throw things away all the time. Just take them to the outside can and dump them in. It actually feels good to do it. YOU are stronger than the food.

Dustin- I didn't hear what you were eating today? What can we do to help you get through.

Can't say I've been around long enough to be much of an encourager/pep talk specialist but this might be somewhat inspiring:

I had to go to a funeral this morning and I got up extra early because I knew it was going to be a hassle trying to find something big enough and formal enough to wear.

Well guess what? I was actually able to get into one of my favorite dresses albeit I had to put on an industrial strength girdle and tape the ta ta's down to fit into it!!!! It might not sound like much but it was a GIANT step forward for both my confidence and my willpower!! (And they're right about duct tape...that stuff is AWESOME!)

So I guess I want to say something like "hang in there" or just "hold on" because if you do the program you WILL see results;even if you have a weak moment like I did night before last and cheat...just get right back on the pony and ride it like it's stolen!!!!!!

Good Luck and thanks to everyone for the encouragement you've given me too!

So, today is a bummer of a day for everyone but nermo! Way to go nermo- you rock!!! Sorry for the rotten scales. I know its sucks so bad to work so hard at stayin on plan and not see results!! BUT DONT GIVE UP!!! I know you guys wont, but still have to say it!

I'd like to call to order a cheat free weekend. First, there will be a jump start Thursday. Stillmans pre-game style. I'll include the following suggestions, but beware... not for the faint of "belly"....

Lets break it down....for those following QWL...

There will be no mayo. If you have to have tuna with mayo, tuna is not allowed. Mustard or hot sauce is ok.

There will be no dessert, nut or grain products.

There will be no premade store bought foods. (even if the label claims its ok)

There will be lots of chicken or turkey (breast or ground)

There will be lots of pork chops, sans fat. Dont dare eat those crispy edges.

There will be no ground beef. (Just until Monday) But lean steaks are fine.

Make sure to stuff yourself on plain meats. Its OK. It doesnt make a difference how much you eat, as long as your not consuming carbs.

If you have an omelette, cut back on the yolks. (except for nermo)

If we must cheat, it has to be on lettuce, celery or brocolli without any sauce, 0 calorie dressing or cheese and we have to exercise for double the amount of time if we cheat. (except for GT who is already doubled) Be prepared for the bloat effect. Eater beware..

We have to kick it back to old school and see if there are any improvements!

Lets re-read the sticky! Lets all commit! And let all add more suggestions!

Drop any half and half/cream and use only skim milk if you have to.

THIS IS NOT EASY, BY ANY MEANS, BUT GIVE IT UNTIL MONDAY AND SEE THE RESULTS!!! You may not go back..

You only have 20 to lose and that is so doable!!! Its tough to be strict, but I know it will be so worth it in the end. Sacrifice now, so you can have some summer and wedding fun!! I know you can do it!!! You are already doing a great job and just because we're complaining about the scale, it will drop! Guaranteed!
