Forgot to mention, I had my body fat percentage hydrostatically tested this morning and I'm currently at 18.5% - woohoo! Using calipers I always pinch about 3-4% higher though, so I still need to get rid of the jelly around the belly..and the b*tt!!!

Dustin- I take it you want out of work. I am down to 2.5 hours left.

Good day to everyone, hope you are all having a good day.

I have been working on my Wii fit everyother night for at least 45 minutes including 10 minutes running in place. I did get the ok to go back to swimming yesterday so tonight swimming pool here I come.

I saw 160 this morning but not sure if it will stick around. I just hope on Sunday I see less than 160.

Here is my food for the day.

Breakfast: 1 egg
Snack: Chocolate high protein pudding
Lunch: 4oz turkey breast, salad with Trader Joes Ceaser dressing less than a carb per serving
Snack: Chocolate high protein pudding
Dinner: 4oz buffalo chicken strips, green bean fries
Snack: 1 oz cream cheese with salsa, pork rinds.

I also drink 1 cup of tea and lots of water.

WOW!!!!!!!! 18.5% body fat!!!! I have one of those tanita scales and mine is nowhere near that! That P90x must work! Think I might have to get me a DVD!!

GT, I wouldn't put too much faith in your scale. Mine usually tells me I'm around 36-38% BF which is clearly not the case! As I understand it, hydrostatic testing is the most reliable method available, but since it's not always practical (or available!), I usually use calipers to measure my progress. I use the 3-pinch system since I can do it myself without help.

By the way, before you get too excited about P90X, I thought I'd post a pic of how I look at the moment.

The pic below was taken this morning before I left the house. Now I've seen other women who have no visible flab at 18 or 19%, but that's just not me. The tester said this morning that my muscles are probably fairly dense with relatively little "marbling". That means I carry most of my excess blubber on the outside. Apparently this pattern is a lot more common in young men than women of any age...who knew?

The good news is that fat on the outside is healthier and easier to shift than internal fat. The bad news is that I'll have to aim for a much lower percentage than I originally thought before any definition will be visible. Oh well. I'm just going to do my best and forget the rest!

It is so awesome that you are doing this to fine tune what you already have. I cannot wait until I am at that point. I've always done things to lose weight. .but if I could get to the toning point. . that would be great!!!!

Well I weighed again this morning! And the stupid scale is stuck-it's not even bouncing around! Not even going up or down .1--aaagh!!! It hasn't moved sicne Friday. I know I said I wouldn't freak out...but there's only so long a girl can last!!!!

I'm with you GT! I'm hoping for a little movement today...went to bed with a grumbling belly... I ate dinner (some pulled pOrk), but a small amount. then my hubby went for some and I was seething....(in voice like the girl from the Exorcist)...GET AWAY FROM MY MEAT!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone. I am glad you think the high protein chocolate pudding sounds good. It is not bad, the weight loss clinic has many other flavors but they are not so good. I do love high protein hot chocolate!! Yummy.

Scale still saying that 160 so I might be able to get to the below 160 by Sunday, I just have to be good. Eat right and get the exercise in. I have until April 9th for the redue of my tummy tuck and the chest fixed up. I would love to be down that 10 pounds by then.

Ok here is my food for the day
Breakfast: 1egg
Snack: Pudding or I do have a high protein soup
Lunch: chicken strips and green beans
Snack: pudding
Dinner: steak cauliflower
Snack: hot chocolate

Lots of water all day long of course.

Exercise will be at the gym tonight as follows:
20 minutes on the bike
20 minutes treadmill
20 minutes elipticle
swim laps till to tired to do more!! (might be 1 lap)

Brave girl. . I can't let go of my hair, yet. . but I want too.. I curl, curl, curl every morning. . it takes too long but I've been doing it for years. . Would love to have a wash, blow, go style but I'm too scared to do it!!! I know I can't do real short cuz of my round face. but I would love something a little more maintainable. .I look hideous in the morning and even worse if I just let it air dry!!!

Sorry GT. .my scale won't budge either (except up). .I can't even believe I am up another 3 pounds. . must have been the trail mix. Unbelievable what a little cheat can do. . I'm refocused . for the 100th time!

All three of us are in the same boat...sinking at the moment!

I am so pissed...still no movement on the scale.... This was my menu for yesterday:

2 cans tuna with mustard and about 1 tbls. of mayo
2 cold chicken wings
1/2 cup pulled pork

Plus 1 pot of green tea and at least 80 oz. of water.
I know I am old (54) and have crappy metabolism, but this is ridiculous!!!!!
