1 tablespoon kosher salt (If you are using TABLE salt only use 1 tbs)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (Change this to SAGE for Chicken)
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 tablespoons olive oil ****
1 (3 pound) sirloin tip roast

Directions
In a small bowl, mix the paprika, kosher salt, garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, cayenne pepper, oregano, and thyme. Stir in the olive oil, and allow the mixture to sit about 15 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Place the roast on the prepared baking sheet, and cover on all sides with the spice mixture.
Roast 1 hour in the preheated oven, or to a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C). Let sit 15 minutes before slicing.

Total Carbs per serving (8 oz) = 1

**** Right now I am omitting the olive oil and using this as a "dry" rub. Thus reducing the carbs and fats.......Sharon

Good idea to try the fat! Be careful about adding both though. veggie carbs + fat, may slow you down. I prefer to suggest one or the other. you're still doing great! We have to find something to give you your energy back!

Maybe you could try your workouts again, and reward yourself with an atkins-like menu.....If you decide to, make sure you give yourself enough time to adjust..if the scale goes up, still give it a few more days to come back down. At least a week, maybe two. It should be fun! salads, cheese...yum! I would eat your protein first and make sure to have protein every time you have a veggie. Actually, I would limit the cheese to whatever atkins reccommends for induction..what is it 2oz?

You guys rock!! You've no idea how often I come to LCF, this thread in particular, to get back on track. Aleriaaa, fatty meat has not been effective, curbng cravings, yes, but wt loss, no. I lost 20 lbs 2yrs ago, regained it last year and keep gaining/losing the same 5..UGHHHH!! Tried the fatty meat/water, now going to try leaner meats, maybe grbeef on weekends, want to drop 20 by ny 20th anniversary, May 18th.
Today, I had a Jenny o gr turkery burger (white meat) and 3 scrambled eggs so far.
Thanks to everyone for your inspriation! Molly

Day 19. I dropped the.5 pound I gained yesterday PLUS another .5 pounds. This brings my total weight loss to 16.5 pounds in 19 days. This is without ANY exercise (still babying my back for a few more days).

All in all I am happy - just wish I had more energy.

Sigh.....I gave into a guilty pleasure for breakfast this morning.....BACON! I know it is not on the strict Stillman's list so I am hoping not to see an increase on the scale. It was organic (no nitrates) and 0 Carbs. I was thinking that I might need a little more fat in my diet......
