I hear ya. Measuring is weird. Maybe it's because we just concentrate on the usual...waist, hips, etc. But our bodies have lots of nooks and crannies that count with clothes but don't get measured. And, I don't think a tape measure catches the intra-muscular fat and the inner-muscular fat that is melting away. Tape measures only measure the "sub-cutaneous" fat. That's the fat right under the skin.

Mine is a Tanita as well. Read the booklet that came with it. It's more accurate if you measure fat/muscle/hydration in the late afternoon. (Our bodies are dehydrated after 8 hours sleep)And, only truly accurate if you do it at that same time every day for 30 days and then average it out. That part requires math! ha!

Lisa- I am having a breast lift, implants and fix my tummy from my tummy tuck done. I have had this planned and booked for at least a month. Stress really gets to me so I hate this.

Yum- I might have to get me one of those scales. I love gadgets and this sounds like a good one.

Tania: I know you must be stressed. Just keep thinking how wonderful you will feel when it's all over. Project your brain into the future. You have done such amazing work and your stats prove it. Breathe, breathe, breathe, Honey!

The Tanita scale is fun. I got it on line from the Tanita web site.

oh wow! i need my pannus removed. I lost 200 pounds and have had this flap with some adipose tissue just hanging around the middle! I also need my breasts done too! I went from a .. 54 FF... yes AL that's what i typed 54 FF
to a 38 L.. the L is for LONG HE HE HE.. j/k but i do have a 38 full C but droopy full c's even a wonder bra couldn't help get those sacks up LOL! I also have a lot of loose skin under my arms that I call my BINGO wings! I would love to have all three fixed! We have nearly perfect credit so i guess maybe i should look into financing my surgery? Are you paying privately? I once had a doctor who was deeming the removal of my pannus medically necessary, but he is in another state now

It is raining here....again I felt the need for a big pot of soup on the stove. Raided the refrigerator and came up with a couple of chicken breasts, 1/2 rotisserie chicken and some hot italian sausage - threw it all in a big pot with some chicken stock and spices and now the whole house smells great .......much better than the "wet dog" smell earlier

Lisa- I had my insurance cover for the pannus but I put in more so that I could have the whole lower body lift. I am paying out of my pocket for the chest. I can't wait to get to the point where I can say it was so worth it.

Ok, the new date is April 16th so I will keep on track and see where I land.

Hey everyone! Wow congrats to all the losers!! I wonder if we tracked how much weight this group has lost this month, it would be shocking!!!

My weight was the same today but I am still very bloated (thanks TOM! ) I am going to UP my fat for a few days, until TOM passes. I have been feeling some fatigue which is normal when TOM is here but I work 6 days a week at a job that requires me to be on my feet 90% of the time, so I can't really do with double fatigue on account of the strict lean meats. I'm going to incorporate some red meat into my menu each day, upping the fat that way mostly. I'll still keep my carbs at a minimum. Does this sound okay?

I'm really happy I found this group and really happy that everyone is doing so well

Sounds great Gwn!! I had ground turkey all day yesterday (low fat) and only tuna today. I just went for a walk and my legs felt like lead going up the stairs. Thats my signal to have ground beef or chicken thighs tonight. or maybe bacon....theres a craving coming on..

Sorry I cant continue the tuna thursday ladies!

I just checked on amazon.com and found one for $39.99. There other options. I know WW sells one, but I don't know if it also measures hydration. Google it! When all else fails, Google!!

All this talk about yummy foods, soups, stews....very inspiring. Keep the ideas coming.

Yesterday I slow-roasted my 10 lb. turkey. OMGosh! I had a feast for dinner last night! And still I lost a pound. When I was at the store the other day I bought fresh herbs like sage and rosemary. I rinsed the turkey, put half a lemon, a very small "cutie" mandarin seedless orange cut in half, and all the herbs in the cavity of Mr. Turkey. Put him in my electric roasting pan @ 325 and my house just smelled insane!

There was lots of broth already, but I'm going to also boil the bones for that good calcium when the meat is gone. Yum. I did not add any salt, so I was able to pour some of the broth over the meat on my plate and I'll tell ya, this did not even feel like a diet.

Now I'm thinking I need to roast a turkey as often as possible. I'm looking forward to warming it up and eating a bunch more today. Not gonna feel even a teeny weeny bit guilty!
