Scary Gaga. Im kinda mad at her right now since my show that was supposedly postponed, was completely cancelled. Im so mad. Oh well, gotta find another venue to wear my new outfit!

I used to watch the food network all day while I was dieting. I dont suggest trying this, but it worked for me. I love to watch food, talk about food, write about food, cook food, smell food..... used to love tasting food..

Thanks Sharon for the advice. I have always drank at least 100 oz a day and i still have a lot of weight on me. It's typical for me to drink 4 or 5 bottles 33 oz bottles of water a day. I have super long days.. up usually 18 to 20 hrs a day. working 14 to 16 or more...

Dustin, dont be showing up here with that peanut butter cupcake..Im feeling weak and refuse to look back a few pages....

So.... What kind of ground beef is everyone buying? My last stock up was 90%, much leaner than my 80/20, no fat left in the pan after cooking. It tasted really funny to me. Ive been cutting the fat the last 2 weeks and draining the 80, so why would the flavor be sooooo off? Do they use different parts of the cow. Just wondering. Gotta go back to my 80/20, for sure.

and I cant even look at another chicken leg or thigh....

So what else to buy? What kind of roasts are good? My pot roast usually comes out overcooked...I only like the bottom, where its falling apart. (think stew meat) Any suggestions?

What about pork? Can we make a pulled pork without the BBQ sauce?

Anyone have a good meatloaf recipe that doesnt turn to a brick?

I need new ideas!!! 911

and one more question, then I promise I'll shut up for a few hours...

Corned Beef.....anyone knwo how to make it from scratch without the added sugar in the regular stuff??

I'll be formulating my peapod grocery list for Saturday delivery... (Peapod is Stop & Shops online grocery shopping) Very Cool. Sale prices apply and only 6.95 delivery fee. Sometimes you get it delivered cheaper if you pick unpopular delivery times)

IM2- Those Perdue Short Cuts are on sale- check em out!

Ground Beef = I always use the lean stuff (or mostly) and I think it is actually the fat that gives it a weird taste..Plus, pre-cooking and leaving in the refrigerator gives it a taste .. So, I almost always season it.. Onion powder, Garlic salt, season salt.. or a little sausage.. I've even found that the pan I cook it in makes a big difference. I love to brown the heck out of it so it gets a little crispy.

I almost always do my roasts in the slow cooker with onion soup mix. .Start frozen and they retain moisture! Stew meat . .I've done the same way. . .and chicken, too! I think I may have to fire mine up this weekend. .

I've also done a killer roast (and turkey) in those Reynolds roasting bags! They come out really, really good that way too. .

Try a little Zesty Italian Dressing (they have a no carb variety) as a marinade. . MMm. . excellent on pork and chicken. .I usually let it sit for a day or two or do the freezer thing with them. . My kids really like the chicken that way and I really like the pork!

My meatloaf receipe has french green beans in it! (from my old WW days.. my kids gobble it up. .) . the other good way to make it is with stove top stuffing and BBQ Sauce.. of course, you can't have it but the family will love it! Sorry. .I think Meatloaf, if made properly, is off limits.. I can't think of much to mix in. . eggs/beef? What else. .

I did a pork roast in the crock pot this week, but can't remember what the cut was??? It turned out great...really lean, but the texture of pulled pork. I just pulled it with a fork and loaded it up with Frank's...

Lunch today is canned white meat turkey with mustard which I am going to eat at 10:00 cause for some reason I am light headed????

Ok I can't cook so I shall leave the corned beef suggestions etc to others!!! My beef mix is always 80/20--you can't get it leaner here, at home I know you can! But yeah the fat just grosses me out-the pan swims!! Don't want to think what it's doing to my arteries! But I really don't eat it that much so... If I want something "ground" I'll get ground turkey at home. I wonder tho will it actually be as tasty and filling? I suspect not!
