I have not been too bad but I have not been too good either. Which means I am in a holding pattern.

Come on Cat! you can do it! New day, new month. Lets get er done! What time of day is your breaking point? (mine used to be after I got home from work. I would be starving and grab the closest carb in sight) Maybe you're not eating enough to feel satisfied. Just get past those first 3-4 days, nocheats, no matter what. You may even want to try something more tasty like ground beef, then after ketosis hits, cut back the fat. Just some suggestions, I want you to have total success!

I am drinking my water and eating my tuna and chicken. The mustard is a key in making it tasty. My water for today is 96 ounces not bad for someone who never drinks water!!! I am taking to heart the suggestions you have. I appreciate the encouragement. It is about 3:15 here and we still have snow. We were out of school today and may be tomorrow. If we are it will give me some time to get my food together. It will be summer before we know it!!!

Eating my grilled pork. .slow cookered steak and lightly flavored water. Mmmmm.

And, just so you know how tough my day was today. The girl in my office made popcorn!!!! Not once .. but twice!!! Ugg. . . but I was smug as ever. . went and got myself some calming soothing tea and and can of diet pepsi!! . . That was a nice treat for me. . .

I think I shall weigh one pound less tomorrow. . I shall and I will!!!!

what i posted in jan thread lol

I set myself for failure today, I rushed out of the house without my MEAT! I had an all day orientation at the hospital and they served us PIZZA!!! and had Candy in our orientation bags to snack on! OMG HOW DARE THEY!!!

I actually did quite well and I am proud of myself! I took all the candy and put it back on the table where the coffee, juice, milk and water was. I excused myself while the pizza was being served and went to the cafeteria.

They didn't have much plain meat though! They were serving chicken and rice (chicken cooked in with rice and some cream of something over the top of it) and hot pork sandwiches.

I asked for two thick slices of pork only. The women looked at me like I was crazy, but I didn't care!

I went to the salad bar and noticed they had some diced turkey, sliced hard boiled eggs and cottage cheese so I got a little of each and drank my 33 ounces of crystal light!

By the time I got back from the cafeteria most of the people were done with the pizza so I didn't have to sit and watch gooey yummy cheese string from their mouths!

When asked why I didn't eat pizza I simply told them that I am on a specific diet. I had a few questions about it as all nurses are nosey LOL I even had a few say wow I think I will try it!

So all and all it was a very good first day even if I wasn't able to stick to my planned menu!

Good Evening! I just home from the airport about 2 hours ago. I've been getting settled down.

I'm planning to catch up with the threads from last month! Hoo-Boy!

It's frigging cold!!! It was -2c when I left and the plane was stuck on the runway for an hour. I ALMOST missed by connecting flight when I went to Amsterdam. The ladies at the gate closed the gate, but opened it just for me because they were expecting me. I am very, very thankful that they helped me through the security and got me onto the airplane! When I reached Detroit, I had one more connecting flight and it was a piece of cake! I only had 3 hours to kill so I walked all over the airport. My luggage did not make it so it will arrive tomorrow on the next flight. No problems there!

I went to Ukraine. That is where my friends and family live. When I arrived on Sunday, it was -12 and it really hurts to breathe! I landed at Kiev and then flew to Zaporozhye. The airplane that flew me from Kiev to Zaporozhye is one of those real old Soviet style propeller airplanes. It is a real adventure! The airport at Zaporozhye is already closed when the plane landed so the airplane just dumped us on the runway and we walked over to the parking lot where I met my friends who picked me up.

I took a train from Zaporozhye to Kherson. I don't know if any of you guys rode a train, but it is very relaxing when the train is moving and it is rocking. The rocking lulls you to sleep. The only problem is that I wake up when the train make the stops at the stations between Zaporozhye and Kherson.

I lost some weight because of all of the walking I was doing in the snow and slush. I had to punch 2 new holes in my belt to keep my pants from sliding down. It really drove me nuts having to keep hiking my pants up!

I had a nice adventure and it is GREAT to see my old friends again!

Dustin! Yippeee. .we are so glad you are back and that you didn't get eaten by polar bears or something! What an adventure you had! Was it a planned one or a quickie trip? Wow. I've never traveled so I don't have many adventures to tell about! Wasn't it great, though? YOu probably lost weight without even trying. . Sounds like you gave it a go. .

Thank you for thinking of us and you'll have to catch us all up. Get some rest. . we will be expecting stories tomorrow!!!

Good morning!

I plan to do an official weight in this upcoming Sunday. I am very sorry, but I am planning to eat a few "bad" American meals that I really missed. I really miss a GOOD pizza. My friends took me to this new pizza place and they claimed that their pizza is exactly like pizza from America because the pizza place was modeled after American restaurants.

I just had to laugh. If any of you have traveled to Europe, their foods are not as tasty as American because we Americans really love our foods more spicier and tastier. Don't get me wrong, the foods in Ukraine is good but they don't have that "punch" that American foods have.

The pizza is very, very good, but it will never pass the American muster test! So it was hard to explain why this so-called American pizza is not really flavored like an American pizza. But we all agreed to agree that it is hard to duplicate the exact taste of American pizza because their taste buds is not acclimated to the greasiness and spiciness of our foods! Also, there are so many pizza places here in my town so how can we judge which style is a typical American pizza?!?!

They were amused by my explaining the Chicago style pizza with a thick crust, crusts with cheese stuffed inside. Then there is New York style. When you stop and think about it, all of those choices and toppings we have as a choice!
