Thanks IM! So basically anything that keeps your hands away from your mouth I just downed about two gallons of water so my stomach would be too full to even think about the lovely left-over fruit salad calling from the fridge. Think I'd better go to bed pretty soon!

I'm guessing highly flavored meats trick you into eating more than you would if it was plain. Plus, they may contain lots of hidden carbs in the seasoning. I do eat nitrate-free canadian bacon and stuff like that, but I actually rinse it under running water first so it tastes much blander. Hopefully I'm not fooling myself!

Thanks for the replies on the Canadian Bacon. I did pick some up this morning. Last night, I found a way to search through the old Stillman posts and found that people were eating canadian bacon and still losing. I know everyone is different, but I think its fine. I really dont have a overeating problem with it. actually it kind of zaps my appetite. So, we'll see.

renewed- Canadian bacon is ham, right? Check for sugar or dextrose, or any other "ose" in the ingredients. You have so little to lose, I would eat it.

I need to whip out the crock pots too! Cant remember the last time I had a pork chop. YUM. I also cant wait til I can start using the outdoor grill. Then maybe I could stand chicken breast again. I can still get to it, but darn its chilly out there...

Do what works best for you. .you are exactly right. . we are all different.. and we will all have different results. If it works, don't change it. . if it doesn't, you'll know where to look! Just keep focused. .that's the key!

Hi gang. Congrats on the new stats Nermo! It's early days yet for me, but this thread is so motivating I think it's really going to help.

I'm down another lb this morning. I know it's mostly water loss in the beginning, but I can already zip up a pair of jeans that were too tight on Monday. Woohoo!
