Good Morning.

I'm back on the horse today. I did not do very well over the weekend. I am starting to get heartburn and my back is starting to hurt. I need to head this off before my weight goes back to 268!! I don't know what my weight is right now and I'm afraid to look. I still fit in my size 44 pants so at least I know that I am not back to 268, even though I feel like it is.

paleo- I could NEVER do what you do. I'll be hanging on to my saggy skin for a while..

GT- I would throw that nasty scale right down the stairs. I dont even understand what all that stuff means. Sounds so confusing. To really confuse, I think you should try eating more. Perhaps your body is holding on to every last bite? Dont know. Just a thought to maybe get things moving. Im bummed for you! you also said you gain with the ground beef. dont be afraid to eat it or chicken legs for a week, even msgirl agreed that the weight goes up a little then comes back down and then some. just some thoughts.

kathy- I, to this day, have never tried the cola chicken. I know what would happen... I would never be able to stop eating it! You ar so close to the 140s!! Doing a great job. Pistachios were an energy boost I bet, and the willpower to just have a handful - you are the best!

IM2- I hope everything works out for you at the doctor tomorrow. Im sure you'll be busy, but please let us know how you make out.

HOLY MOLY!!!! DO MY EYES DECEIVE ME???? Welcome back Dustin!!! Thats great that your still in the same pants size. Dont let us know that we can cheat and not have to buy new pants!

Dustin, Today's your day to conquer and we are right here with ya! warm up those crockpots and lets get moving!! Forget about the bad weekend- the real results are gonna happen now!!

The most important thing to my weight loss over the months has been the friendships Ive made here on the board. You guys inspire me, and I hope to inspire you, which also makes me feel inspired. (I know, Im dumb) Its easy to make bad choices when we're on our own, so I would suggest that everyone check in, good or bad, and even if you have nothing interesting to report.

Yeah I was wondering that too! I read that sometimes your body doesn't like it when you do so much cardio!! I never would have thought that!! I don't really do anything that strenuous tho-not like p90x-I wouldn't have the energy!! I did gain with the beef!! Maybe I should cut the eggs! Dunno! Or I'll just plod along and hope it works out!!!

Thanks GF (Girlfriend) for your encouraging words... I weighed on my trusty old work balance scale and maintained the 150#, so I changed my avi... And that was after those salty nuts I had before bed! I usually want to see a number a couple times in a row before I get too cocky and start to brag... This morning I actually had to find a belt to hold my drawers up... I need to go in search of my "skinnier" work clothes and hope I didn't give them all to the Goodwill! I have a ton of really nice suits in a size 12 and the slacks are way too big.

We got a ton more snow, so very slow commute this morning. As you can see I am procrastinating getting anything done...

Catchya all on the flip side of this day!

Lisa I'm really wondering whether this is not still a residual effect from drinking a lot of green tea too suddenly. Did you drink several cups right off the bat? Some people can experience reactive hypoglycaemia for days after a trigger like that.

You may also be experiencing "rabbit starvation", a phenomenon frequently encountered by early hunters and explorers when forced to live on lean meat for extended periods. You may find that adding a few tablespoons of animal fat for a day or two really helps to get your blood sugar stabilized again.

Failing that, please add some oatmeal or quinoa to your diet for a little while just to get back to normal. You may find that your regular doctor discounts green tea as a hypoglycaemia trigger, but it really can be very potent for some folks.

Please let me know hat you find out. I can't help but feel a bit responsible since I'm always singing the praises of green tea.

Lisa - I second the adding a tiny bit of fat! I felt the way you are describing thought I never took my blood sugar and found that it was over after adding in a tiny bit of fat. I had every symptom of Rabbit Starvation!

GT - Really are you working out AND eating little to no fat??

I am wondering too if your calories aren't too low. What about tracking them for one or two days using ******? It can be an eye opener. You don't want to get your body stuck at only eating 500 calories a day and it thinking that's it forever. Just a thought

I know how frustrating the scale can be!

Wow!! I check out for a little while and it takes me forever to catch up!! I love it.. So much activity, inspiration and love! I don't know how you do it, Al. .I've been on this board just as long as you and I can't keep everyone and everything straight! You have a wonderful memory and such a caring personality. .We owe much of our success to you - Thank you for caring enough to stick by us old timers and slow pokes!

My appointment is Wednesday morning. .Can't come soon enough. I admit, I'm still addicted to my scale (which I think is good because it does snap me back to reality!). . I'm still the same.. The last month has been trying. . up and down . down and up.. just never below my stats or I would have changed them in a heartbeat!!!

Dustin! Welcome back.. I'm glad you checked in. We have a pact to do this until the end so don't you give up on me. .

Good Afternoon,

It's lunch time and I really want a hamburger or something that is bad for me! I'm sticking with the diet so far! I drank 32 oz of water so far and I have been making trips to the bathroom. What I really want is the back ache to go away!

I'm hopping off the computer to fill up my water jug for another 32 ozs of water. I'm planning to go home and eat something and then go to bed. Just sleep this off!

I know how frustrating the scale can be!
Hi MS!!! Missed ya!! I did track on ******!! They are usually around 800. I have to admit the fat I do eat is mayo in my tuna--I know but I can't eat it dry, or with mustard, but I only put in a teaspoon-well a heapped one!! But I eat eggs too, so there's fat in them. The rabbit starvation symptoms--I soo have them, even with the added fat!! I'm sometimes so dizzy it's not funny-oh well!!
Yeah my cals are probably a bit low-but honestly I am scared if I add more I will put weight on--I did eat the beef for 2 days-put it into ****** and it came out at 1200 cals----and I put on the 2lbs!!!!!
And I really thought the exercise should help! Maybe I'm not actually working out hard enough!!
Dunno!! But far more annoying than the scale is that I'm not losing inches! Even tho the strange thing is I tried on Summer clothes last week to give some to charity cos they were coming around collecting them and they were really big--I actually couldn'd wear them now-as in the skirts would fall down, even the ones that were tight at the end of September!! But I haven't lost inches on the tape measure....I find that really strange!---good probably, but strange!!
Ok I really have to shut up now!!! I'm obsessed!!! But I really thought I would have been a lot closer to goal by now!!
