Anyway back to my sofa-it has a very light barely pink cover that I got fom Bemz--and I have to use a roller thing that you use to take fluff and hair off clothes to "dust it"!!
Now I'm having tea in my Hello Kitty mug!!
Hi Peachy! Welcome! Glad you joined us-we love lurkers but even more when they talk(type!) This is the best supportive bunch of people ever! Definitely do QWL-you'll so win TBL at work! How exciting! Not sure I'd want to be weighed in front of coworkers tho!
I did pretty much QWL the whole time to lose the weight. Well up until about May I had been having a small salad with it in the evening(lett. cukes, peppers and tomatoes) Then I stalled so cut. And sometimes I did have mayo-def not always tho. Those carbs were prob still way under 10 a day so it was still vlc and vlf.--so def not Atkins. It was tuna, eggs, chicken and the salad- every day!!
I think it does work the best for losing the weight-I find that a high fat content really ups the cals and so you don't lose as well--that seems to be true in my case! I can't even seem to eat ground beef but I stall!
I eat my meat and stuff plain-mainly because I can't cook!! But also I'm so used to the plain taste it doesn't nother me at all!!
Good luck with it! We def want you to win TBL!!
THANK YOU FOR SHARING ...

To weigh tomorrow or not-that is the question, people?????
Last time was not good! And it annoys me , to put it mildly! when it doesn't move in the right direction, but then I think I need to know-especially if it's up again!
Decisions, decisions.........

Hi Peachey! I dunno if it's the same in the U.S. but turkey bacon is lean enough but it will have salt in it. I would try and stay away from processed meats-too salty and it'll make you retain water-not good! I think the only advice I can give is to try and keep it clean and lean! The egg whites are good!! Stay away from the ground beef-well not after you've bought it, obviously!! I think thighs and legs are fatty enough too-tho actually I'm not relly sure. Stillman always says lean meats only!!You should read the stickies at the beginning of the thread-it'll give you all the info!!

Hi Peachy! I missed this earlier... I would skip the bacon even it is turkey. Cook up lots of chicken breast, ground turkey and pork chops. Twice as much as you would normally eat, and start the chow down. You will have amazing results. If you only eat the whites of the eggs, thats even less fat, so go for it!

IM2 rinses her ground beef to get as much fat out of there as possible. As for the chicken legs, for quickest results, dont eat the skin.

YOU CAN DO THIS!!

Hiya. You work out hard 6 days a week and the 7th day you get to choose whether you want to do the "stretch x" DVD or just rest.

P90X Lean, official day 1. Today was Core Synergistics, not as tough as yesterday's Chest & Back + Ab Ripper workout, but no walk in the park either. I suddenly ran out of juice about 40 mins in, to the point where I quickly had to mix and chug a whey protein shake with 2T of maltodextrin added. That worked like jet fuel and I was able to rocket through the rest with energy to spare. Tomorrow I'll have the shake before I get going and see how that works.

One thing is certain, I'll be needing some carbs for this program. I'm not sure how other folks are managing to stick with a totally low carb eating plan while working out this hard, but I found out today that it won't work for me. I'm going to experiment with 50-80 grams a day, so I guess that rules out a Stillman's approach going forward.

I hope it's ok with everyone if I still check in on you guys while I'm off the official plan.

My blood sugar has been severely low still! I can't seem to get it above 60!! and that's with eating protein every two hrs! I have been eating some lettuce and a few veggies today to see if I can get my blood sugar to at least 80, but no such luck! I really don't want to go see the Doc, but I think i better. I hate doing that darn glucose test! GRRR effen GRRR! (that's me cussing..lol) Well i will check back in tomorrow between clients! I am still eating low carb, low fat, just trying to figure out whats going on! I even cut the green tea out to see if it was the reason i am bottoming out.

PS- I LOVE IKEA!!! Every room in my house is furnished with at leat something from that glorious store! and its only 7 minutes away from me!!!
Right here! Sorry, had a busy weekend and no time to catch up on posts. Everyone is doing so awesome and now we have some new friends as well.... Peachy, I put hot sauce on EVERYTHING! I swear, I could eat anything as long as I had my Frank's to sprinkle on top! I also am not as low fat as most of the good folks on this board, and hence I am losing at a slower rate (but still losing!) My favorite Stillman's recipe is still the cola chicken...(diet cola and low sugar catsup)...YUM!

Fos some reason, after 7 weeks and virtually NO cheats, I was sooooooooooooo tempted last night! I finally caved and had a handful of pistachio's...I know not so horrible, but they were really salty, so I am debating getting on the scale this morning. I might just wait until tomorrow. I was soooooooo close to seeing the 140's at the end of last week, tho.

Well, I got up early to get some work done...better get to it....

Ok I weighed. Down the 2lbs I put on. And another whole .8. So that's a measly .8lbs since Monday the 8th----that people is crap!!!
I use one of those Tanita scales-the body fat % did say it had gone down .4 the first time and then I weighed again(as you do!!) and it went up a.% so said I had losat .3%. The muscle% was exactely the same. And I'm not sure about the water-I don't really take that much notice of it really but I think it might have been slightly up.
See, I shouldn't have weighed--I'm in a bad mood!!! It just makes me want to eat a whole packet of cookies! Actually no-it just makes me want to eat something normal-like a sandwich at lunch and not sit there and drink tea!!! Or buy something other than turkey, eggs and tuna at the supermarket.
And the other really annoying thing, more than the scale is that I'm not losing inches-I measure, and nothing, nada!! Well actually I'm not sure, I think I might have lost .5inch off my hips--but that it since November, people!!!!!!!
OK rant over!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im2--you are such an inspiration. I don't know how you stuck with this for so long when the scale wasn't moving, I really don't! I would have given up long ago!

Stick with us peachy! Your menu for this week is just like mine. I lost my initial weight following a strict QWL, but realized after a while that I felt better with the extra fat. Now, the loss is much slower but I can control it now. I can tell when I eat ground beef and chicken legs I maintain or lose a pound, but when I do 2 days of tuna and turkey or lean pork, I go down 2. This is after months of this. You will see much better results. So join me in some chicken legs cause Ive got 24 defrosting!!
