Al, you might be surprised to hear this, but I actually had never seen the infomercial until I found it online two nights ago. All I can say is wow! I was inspired before due to a friend that tracked her P90X journey on Facebook, but now I'm really motivated.

The only thing I did different today was drink the green tea. I wonder if it is dropping my blood sugar to low. I don't consider my trail mix a cheat and had stuck with stillmans all day very faithfully! I will drink extra water tomorrow, cut out the green tea and see if it makes a difference. I haven't had a problem with my blood sugar since starting this until now. Well I am off to bed! goodnight my LC buddies!
Lisa, I'm almost 100% sure it was the green tea that gave you the super low blood sugar. That's totally what it used to do for me as well. I gradually built up to the 5 cups over time and now it doesn't seem to bother me in the same way anymore. Thankfully you're trusting yourself and listening to your body!

If you'd like to keep trying it, I'd start with one cup a day and slowly up your intake over two weeks. Also never drink it on an empty stomach. I still can't have it first thing in the morning or I feel really weird. Hope that works better for you.

Not to cause any undue worries, but is the mercury content ever an issue for you folks who eat a lot of tuna? I absolutely love tuna is most forms (especially as sashimi), but I really limit my intake these days.

My P90X DVDs FINALLY arrived today - woohoo!!! I did the fitness test again this evening and I'm probably as ready as I'm ever going to be. Unfortunately however, reviewing all the info confirmed my suspicion that Stillman's is not going to cut it nutrition wise. I'm just really reluctant to venture back into carb world again, since I've made so much progress the last three weeks (e.g. 2.5 inches off my waist and a 2% drop in my bodyfat percentage).

I ate totally on plan all day, but after I finished looking over the nutrition plan I felt compelled to eat half a sweet potato to prep my body for tomorrow's start. It wasn't a huge amount and remarkably I'm still in ketosis, but I'm already feel that old gnawing hunger rearing it's ugly head again. Oh well. I guess I'll just have to keep tweaking until I find the right ratios for my metabolism again.

So sorry to hear about your bad news Missy. With such an understanding and empathetic group of folks, I think it's really safe and appropriate to vent here. I really hope you find some answers though.

Thanks Al Done and done! I took some pics this evening and compared them with similar poses I took in December. There's actually quite a difference already, but I still have a long way to go before I'd feel comfortable appearing in public in a bikini!

Way to go Sammy! Quick question, how are you handling the nutrition aspects of P90X? I've been working out fairly hard to prepare for it - will be starting officially tomorrow - and I've been ok so far with my energy levels, even on Stillman's. However, I watched part of the first workout DVD this evening and I can see now how hardcore it really is.

In the past when I've worked out really hard lifting heavy and doing lots of interval training, I've needed to up my net carbs to at least 50-80 grams a day. Are you finding anything similar?

Hi nermo! I have used them but they are all sodium and some have added sugar. Check the back. Most have 1-3 carbs but you want to stay away from the sugar to keep the cravings at bay!!! Chicken broth or stock is another option. I use it all the time! More money but more choices without the sugar..

That is awesome progress! There are others in the exercise board that are following the program. Perhaps they have ideas on keeping it lower carb and still getting great results. You are gonna need some serious energy but we know you can do it!!!

Hi Peeps! I was bold, bold, bold today!!!!!!!! Not foodwise!!! Was very good-have had 2 eggs!! And had tea while the girls were glugging down the lattes and choc chip cookies!!! Oh yeah and yesterday I resisted the wine bottles-we watched SATC movie--again!!!! Gonna weigh on Monday-well I'll see how I feel! Hee! And I better have lost something!!
Anyway back to my boldness----I bought 2 pairs of ballerinas-a black and white chanel-esque pair with a bow and a hot pink shiny leather pair!! They were so comfy cos they kind of have a sole like a sneaker--well not just as flat as normal ones-which sometimes can be too flat!! And I bought a navy and white knee-legth stripey skirt with a big belt--like nautical theme! (it's nice, I'm just bad at describing!)
Just thought I'd tell ye!!!

Good Morning, Peepers! I'm off to my nieces basket ball game (why do they have to be so early?). . Then, we are supposed to hit the hills for some sledding. .problem is, I can't get the rest of the troops up and around. . I'm scarfing down my ground beef and have to arm myself with chicken today. I think I'm eating too much beef. .Weighed myself. .still the same so that's good considering my struggles of the week. at least I know how to maintain. .

OK. .just wanted to say good morning to everyone and wish you a wonderful day. The sun is shining here so I intend to cease the day!!!
