Yeah, I know that feeling about daydreaming. I was thinking of those peanut butter eggs!! To be more specific, those Reese's Easter Peanut Butter eggs.

Hey GT,

There is no peanut butter jars in Ukraine. I bought a jar of Jiff's creamy peanut butter and almost started a riot. Another thing I learned that my friends really love is those cinnamon chewing gum. I brought 6 packs of those "Big Red" chewing gum and I give them away. Next time, I will bring 12 packs to make everyone happy!

I am trying to post several photos of myself in my profile.

Okay, I uploaded several photos of myself. I really do feel thinner lately. Give me a couple of months and I think I should be much thinner. It is unbelievable how much difference almost 3 months can make!!

I really want to start dipping below 200 pounds!! I'm waving my green poms-poms!

Then I checked mine and it was the same so I knew I was wrong!! Anyway... it's nice to put a picture to the posts!!! Who are the lovey ladies with you?(you look sooo happy!) Are they your friends in the Ukraine--with the great eastern european cheekbones!

Those lovely ladies are good friends of mine. They work as translators and I had them do a job for me a few years ago. They also helped me through a difficult period in my life. I will tell you this.... most Ukrainian ladies LOVE having their photos taken. They will make sure their hair and lipstick is perfect. They will make sure their outfit is presentable and pose for that perfect look!

Hi Nermo,

Sorry about the stingy details about the date. I kinda of have mixed feelings. It went well, but I was kinda of hoping for some chemistry. At least, I can focus on losing some more weight and keep trying to find a good lady!

I had the date on Friday evening and had a nice meal. My date is a nice lady.... attractive and interesting. I told her that we will talk more after I come back. Then I was busy on Saturday packing for my flight. Then I left on Sunday and landed at Kiev on Monday morning. Last month, I was considering FL and SC, but changed my mind and never announced that. I am famous for my impulsiveness! I almost have all of the pages in my passport filled with stamps. I probably have 3 blank pages left.

Chemistry is very important but u know sometimes it doesn't come right away . I had mixed feelings about my hubby at first but u know something happened in a second and it just "SPARKED", and now I can't imagine my life without him he is truly a "life partner ". The best thing is to find someone who accepts all your Good and Bad.

I hope u find that special someone.

Well I did 2hrs 30 mins on the bike today-got up extra early to do some before work (not sure I'll be doing that again!-too early!)
And the weirdest thing-I put on a pair of jeans that I hadn't worn since just before Christmas, and they were quite lose and baggy-especially in the thighs. So anyway I wasn't convinced that it was true, I thought I was just imagining it. So when I came home I tried on a pair of trousers that again I hadn't worn and the same thing-they were lose!
Now I'm not complaining, but I have barely lost any weight, and ok so then you could say oh you must be losing inches...but I have been measuring(like a crazy woman!) and nope I've not been getting smaller on the tape measure either!!!
I have to say I was getting really annoyed about it because I want to lose 4inches off my hips and about the same from my stomach-maybe a bit more! So it's just weird---good,obviously, but weird!!

Ok I was reading the posts from Nov. to try to find out what weight I was then... I hate the way when you update your stats the old posts get updated too--if you get me!!
Anyway I read one from the 7th Nov. when I said I weighed 149.
And now I weigh 137/138-bouncing! That is depressing! 11 pounds in 12 weeks----yeah seriously! How slow is that!!! I'm never gonna be at goal!
Ok I'll shut up now!!

Hi Nermo! Don't wana burst your bubble......but honestly??? No. That would be 13lbs a week. Not even Super-Al did that!!! By the end of March? That still would be 6lbs a week--dunno!
All I can say is I wish I could lose that a week!!!! But as you can see, I don't!!

GT . .it could be so much worse. .you could be me! I can't even think about how long I've been here. . Somedays I hope they find something in my bloodwork and then other days I don't. It would just answer all my questions. . Anyway, I did not exercise yesterday so I am scarfing down my dinner and headed to the center. . slippery snow and all!!!

Here is something interesting: Will yo-yo dieting ruin your metabolism?

It doesn’t matter how often you put on and take off extra pounds—your metabolism will forgive you. But when you regain weight, you often gain back proportionally more fat than muscle. This may eventually take a toll on your metabolism, because, pound for pound, muscle burns more calories than fat

To maintain muscle mass, consume 50 percent of your body weight in grams of lean protein (e.g., 75 grams for a 150-pound person) and strength-train two to three times per week. Resistance bands and free weights—or even soup cans or milk jugs—will do the trick.

- Your lesson for the day :-) I think its good to learn a little something about this journey every day. . I really believe that is the only way I am going to be successful for life!!!

Hi everyone. I've been smiling about the posts I've read so far since I can identify with so much that folks are going through. Anyway, I've tried Stillman's before with great success, but quit half way through the month because I was worried about eating so little calories for so long. At the moment however, I really need to do a bit of an intervention.

Lately I've been digging into carbs I normally never even think about and have gained back about 10lbs of lost weight. I'm not sure what's going on exactly, but I know that if I want to be sleek on my 40th birthday in June I need to get back on track fast! I'm also sick of not being able to fit into anything in my closet...sigh. Hopefully posting here will keep me honest.

So, I plan to do a modified Stllman's QWL with low fat protein, water and low carb green veggie juice as staples. I had a fairly ok day today with turkey bacon and chicken breast, but totally blew it late afternoon with some carby gluten-free crackers I made for my son. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to stick to plan better.

Hey GT! Sorry the losses have been slow. You're not one to complain or have a bad day so Im not sure how to handle this. (beads of sweat forming on my forehead) Now Im feeling stressed... I think its frustrating because you've been sick and couldnt eat the right foods. youve practically starved the last few days and today you exercised like crazy! You are the woman!!! BUT until your body totally heals from the tummy bug, and you up your fluids and meat intake, we'll have to be patient and wait for the good times to come. They are coming! I promise!! You've already come farther than any of us and your goal weight is so very near. Keep on keeping on and lets all cross the finish line together!

We've been here for a long time. (but Im so glad) I cant wait for you to get the results from the tests. Im sure there will be nothing there, but at least we can rule it out. You are so on the right track with exercise and you should be so proud of yourself!!! Even as busy as you are, you are still making time for you. I love it!

nermo- The doctor did say 5 pounds a week when following QWL to the very last bite. Lets prove him right and get those 50 off!!!!! (ps....give up ketchup, cocktail sauce, and if you can swing it, the cottage cheese)

Editing here....keep the non-fat cottage cheese, and do what IM2 does with the eggs. (what is it, like 1 whole to 3 whites?)
