8 oz Almond Milk (I use Almond Breeze: unsweetened vanilla)
40 calories, 3g fat, 2g carbs, 1g fiber, 1g protein

1-2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
20 calories, .5g fat, 3g carbs, 1g fiber, 1g protein **THIS IS FOR 1 TABLESPOON**

Mix in sweetener of your choice to taste.

YUMMY! Sometimes I even add a touch of whipped cream...

This also works with plain water, or even a couple TBS of cream mixed with water, but I find the Almond milk to make the creamiest version.

Another day almost done!

Just got back from the gym...did 50 minutes on the elliptical. My personal trainer was a no-show so didn't get any strength training in for today. Oh well!!

Drank tons of water and kept to the Stillmans QWL plan.

Hope you all had a great day!

I drink my tea hot at the moment since it's cold out, but I plan to have it cold in summer. I should add, this is the first time I've actually stuck to the 5 cups a day recommendation, as it usually seems to make my blood sugar drop too fast on my normal diet. Doesn't seem to be a problem on Stillman's so far however.

My pants are definitely looser quicker than when I did the plan before, so I'm thinking the tea is having some effect. At worst it adds a few carbs and minerals to my day, something I feel is probably a good thing on Stillman's.

Hope that helps!
Great thanks! I will def check it out!

What a long day today! GRRR and another one tomorrow! I did okay, but wasn't as prepared as I needed to be. I ate two small hamb patties with a scant amount of ketchup and mustard, one polish dog ( no bun no condiments) I had to eat it because I had gone 7 hrs without food and the convenience store was the only thing around. My lunch was left at home and I was in a different town between clients... I had no other choice! A piece of beef jerky and 8 little shrimp. Only had 90 oz of water today! POOP on ME! Taking icky tuna tomorrow... oh well better than the polish dog and beef jerky I guess!! Good night all!

Yummm. This is exactly how I make mine as well, although I haven't had any since starting Stillman's again. I sweeten it with stevia and feel like I'm drinking something truly decadent. I think Unsweetened Almond Breeze tastes great in other hot beverages as well, and my son even drinks it straight.

Cool! I'd be really interested to see how green tea affects another body besides my own. It might be my imagination, but it also seems to be making me calmer and more focused. The energy it provides is also much more subtle and diffuse than coffee or even black tea, and I find it doesn't keep me awake at night at all. My favorite is an organic green tea/mint combo that tastes amazing.

I should add, I drink all my green tea before 4pm as I don't want it revving me up anywhere close to bed time.

Thanks . I don't really use a lot of recipes to be honest, but great resources I've found helpful in the past are Paleolithic Eating Support Recipe Archives and Mark's Daily Apple. The paleo forum on this site also has some great recipes.

Just so you know, my cheesy onion bread has grass-fed cheddar and lots of pastured butter in it, so not strictly paleo, but it's basically made with almond flour, eggs, onions, garlic, arrowroot and baking powder. I usually eyeball the quantities, since I've made it dozens of times and the chemistry is less finicky that baking with wheat.

Hope that helps.

Too true . I've often wondered about motivation and why it strikes at some times and not others. My personal inspiration this time round is turning 40 in June and wanting to be in great shape for that. I'm also going on a cruise in May and an extended backpacking trip in August, both better experiences when one is fit and strong. Plus of course, all the cool clothes I own that are currently too small...sigh.

What do others find most motivating for staying on plan?

Then I really need to get me some! I have no energy whatsoever. I just ignore it but I am so tired! I just can't fall asleep at night-seriously I'm awake til 2--and I barely can get up in the morning.
I looked in the threads about it but nobody says they have trouble falling asleep, they wake up early and can't go back to sleep.

Pics and stats

WOO HOO new pics and stats! I can really see the differrence from my first set to these! WOW..

Here are my new measurements. Still wish the hips would go down more and the waist too, but I know they are starting to shrink.

2010-Feb-10 Neck 12.25 Wrist 4.5 Waist 33.25 Chest 39.5 Hips 43.5
Arm 12 Thigh 21 Calf12.25

2010-Feb-4 Neck 12.5 Wrist 4.75 Waist 35.5 Chest 40 Hips 44
Arm 12 Thigh 21 Calf12.5

Total inches in 6 days 1 1/2 (may not seem like a lot but it came off my hips, waist and chest, my prob areas so to me it's a TON!)

Total inches since Jan 8th 26 3/4

Chris is amazed at how little I eat now and how quickly I am full! I am too! I have had no cravings this week at all and it has been so great!

I know I couldn't have done it without everyone's support! Love you guys!

Im convinced. gonna start a new vitamin program and perhaps the green tea. I have lots of energy thru the day, but I tend to crash early. Ive been getting 9 and even 10 hours of sleep. It would be nice to gain a few hours back.

Can you eat your meat cold? Just carry it around with an ice pack. Its definitely tough to travel while we're eating this way, but its the only other choice if you're sick of tuna.

hard boiled eggs will stay good too with the ice pack!
