Question for Stillman veterans

I need to shed some pounds. I know I can do it on Atkins or other low carb methods, but my trouble is I am going to be having a few months where I can't be messing with the more complicated recipes, etc., that I usually do with Atkins to keep things interesting. In fact, I am looking to keep it really, really simple, and Stillman sure sounds like that.

My question....I keep reading about really unbelievable weight loss claims for Stillman. As in five pounds a week. That sounds, well, unbelievable and maybe even a little scary and unsafe.

But then, I know that "claims" and reality are two different things, LOL. So I'm wondering, those of you who have experience with Stillman, what kind of weight loss have you experienced? Have you felt healthy and energetic while on this plan? Any problems or suggestions?

Hi Poopsie! The Stillmans QWL menu is definitely simple and works really fast. You can boil your eggs and roast your chicken and be done in the kitchen for days!! Or pop a can of tuna and go! This is a rapid weight loss method if followed exactly. I lost 20 pounds the first month, and my dear friend Dustin lost over 30 in 6 weeks!! Many others on our monthy thread have also had amazing results!

I have never felt better physically or emotionally. Im thin. Cravings are gone. I have no urge to overeat.

Some negatives...
Not a good social eating plan.
Menus get boring. (But new seasonings dont!)
I have been getting more colds than usual, could be coincidence or maybe because I havn't been taking my vitamins on schedule.
Clothes don't fit, you'll have to buy more. (Wait! Maybe thats a positive)

Check out my signature for my losses. It has slowed down after 6 months,to 2 pounds per week, but Ive been a little more relaxed on added fats.

Hope I was helpful!

Thanks so much for sharing your experiences! Yes, I am a little worried about boredom but on the other hand part of what I am trying to accomplish here is to break my tendency to think too much about food. If it's boring and just there as a way to address hunger, that may help. I am a terrible "foodie", I've been a caterer and I tend to really think too much about food.

In a way I am looking at this as sort of a fast, where you don't have to think about food very much. I understand the deep ketosis pretty much kills your appetite, so that is a plus. I want to just walk to the refrigertor, take out a couple slices of lean roast beef and a hard boiled egg and be done with it. This sounds like a great way to try!

I will be starting this WOE in a couple of days. Too many social engagements in the next few days, better not to sabotage myself before I even get started, LOL.
Again, thanks for sharing, I will be contributing to this thread as things progress.

I lost 30+ pounds in less than 8 weeks. So, yes, Stillman's is a great kickstart or stall breaker!
