Congrats dustin

I am definitely in. I think I am somewhere between 235-238 pounds but my scales are broke.

My waist is 45 inches and I am squeezing into a size 18 (UK) at the moment.

Will buy new scales next week.

I am officially starting on 3 January.

LOL, just happen to have that handy....

shrimp
scallops
chicken breasts
oysters
clams
deli sliced roast beef
pork loin
steak
deli ham slices
deli turkey slices
cottage cheese, skim
eggs
low sodium broths
zero calorie gelatin

Part of what I like about this WOE is that the shopping list is VERY simple!

Aleriaaa - I just read how you make your turkey soup and I am popping out tomorrow to get some turkey, along with chicken loads of herbs and spices and that will be my staple for the first few days along with eggs (I adore eggs!)

L-glutamine is super for preventing carb cravings and psylium seed is to keep the "mail moving" when on a diet that includes no fiber.

Hi, I haven't been here in years but I'd really like to join you if that's ok?

I've lost 18lbs in just over 6 weeks but it's going too slow for me. I did this by mainly eating higher fat and very low carbs (meat and eggs). Then this week I got impatient and I gave in and introduced carbs but stayed under 1000 calories a day. I only lost half a pound and I'm blooming starving.

I know sometimes slow is better but I have a date in March with someone I have been speaking to online for nearly a year. I'd love to lose another 38 lbs by then, so I have the courage to meet him. If I still feel ugly, the meeting definitely won't go ahead. But he is getting rather impatient after all this time..bless.

I've been reading about Stillman's and think maybe the lower fat might help me lose quicker. I'll be picking your brains loads, as I'm new to the lower fat type of low carbing. I'm not sure how many calories a day I should be having. Oh, and I need a kick up the bum a lot.

Good Evening!!!

I just came back from a 5 hour shopping trip. Most of the time is spent walking around the mall. I got a nice pair of boots for $40. I also bought a nice cashmere purple sweater and a black dinner (casual) jacket. I am very pleased!! I feel almost ready for my first date later this month!!

Azura, Welcome. I am meeting my blind date on January 22. We have been writing to each other since October. I will tell you this... losing over 30 pounds really bought more self esteem and confidence on myself! My face is thinner. My belly is not that big as it used to be. I'm waiting for my butt to catch up to the rest! Just stick with the plan and come here often for inspiration and support!!

Stillman and Atkins are tough, but you can DO it!

-Dustin

Hi azura! Welcome! I dont count calories. In the beginning I was eating bigger portions but my appetite has really tapered off. Somedays I eat more, most days I eat less. I think it all evens out. Stick with us and you'll see some results. We dont want you to keep your date waiting!!
