I have never done WW. Is it easier counting points than it is carbs or calories? I love stillmans because I dont have to count anything... Not sure if I could handle the point system.

Mork - tell us what the problem is. Maybe we can help. Is it hunger? Is it not being able to fix the food? Maybe nausia? Give us a couple days sample menu's and tell us how you feel. We might be able to get you through this rough spot. It really does work but it is very challenging and you have to be in the right time and frame of mind to do it. Let's hear your struggles.

Al - the WW points system is really easy. They give you this slide ruler type counter and you just start counting all the WW points that go in your mouth. When you get to the number that will be determined as your maintenance points then you can have any food as long as you count it and log it, up to your daily points. I do like it because it gives you so many food choices. You might want to go to a few weight watcher meetings ( I think they have free sign-up right now for the first of the year - good time to go) and get their info pack and see how it works. It really is a good system. I'm just too impatient to do their system to lose the 30 pounds that I have to take off. You only lose about 1 pounds a week on their weight loss system and that is just too slow for me....but maintenance....well that is a whole new conversation. A lot of people like WW because there are so many good food choices and you are allowed to have the cookies, pie, birthday cake, fried chicken....all the things we all love. It's different than counting calories. I actually like it better than counting calories. Just my 2 cents worth on the subject.
I'm going to go change my stats now....whahoooo !!!!! |

Hi again! You are all so sweet. I did fine on the food for the first day but went grocery shopping and just went off the deep end! I rationalize to myself that I will start tomorrow. Well tomorrow has come and gone for about one year and 30 pounds later here I am!!
I do have motivation-I am going on a trip in a month but that doesnt seem like enought to me. Hence feeling like a loser who doesn't really care! I do care but I need to follow through. Tomorrow day one again! cottage cheese , hamburger and some chicken. Not my favorite food but I can do it. I would like to lose 30 pounds!! I can do it! You all are doing great! |

Hey Mork,
Yup, that happened to me when I started Stillman's. They really love to put donuts and the bakery next to the meat section! Just pretend that crap is poison and avert your eyes. Cover your nose if you have to! -Dustin |

TL: Thanks for the WW update. Sounds like a really good maintenance plan. (If I could stop eating cake after my points were up) How do they figure out how many points you can have?

You're gonna be ok, mork. I know you can do this! I'll be around this board pretty much hourly for the next 3 days. Check me out every time you want to take a nibble of something that isnt chicken or cottage cheese! Oh eggs. Dont forget the eggs. I hear they are very satisfying..

You guys are all so motivational
![]() Al- i like your new avatar. I love Billy blanks especially with the new bands. For my birthday I am also buying a new spinning bike. They burn so many calories (about 500) in 30 minutes. Mork - It does get better, I am on my 5th day and although my weight loss has stopped I am beginning to feel better. Tea lady - I go through these phases of feeling "less than" for no apparent reason. This time around though I know its because I have stopped emotionally eating, so alot of stuff comes up. I run my own business and it is not going so great and I am (gulp) 40 next month ![]() I have just realised that today I have managed to sup my way through about 3 litres of water. I have had about 8 eggs today (not all at the same time) is that too many? |

Nermo - what day are you on? Do you feel stuffed when you have finished eating?
If you are hungry eat, I am on my 5th day and my hunger is still there so I am not worried (as yet) about the amounts I am eating. I have still lost a fair bit. |

Hey Guys,
I tried a mustard pack in my tuna and boy that made a difference! I did not see anything in the ingredients for the mustard that will cause a stall.... just wanted to confirm with you guys if it is OK for me to have a mustard packet with my tuna. The ingredients listed in the mustard packs that is found at my company's cafeteria is: Vinegar, water, #1 mustard seed, salt, turmeric, and paprika. Thanks! -Dustin |

Hi nermo! May I chime in? If you don't see significant results your first week or two, I would drop the dark meats and limit eggs to two. I hate to be the bearer of bad news especially since I love me some chicken legs, but Stillman would like us to stick to minimal fat for optimum results. Have 4 chicken breasts if you feel like it! I did.
Sorry if I talk about bacon and wings all the time. Im gonna have to go strict too and hopefully get these last few pounds off for good. |

hehehe I heart the avi
Right..got a great deal on 15 organic eggs today..should keep me going err.. about a day and a bit lol When I was purely egg fasting with a lot of fat I could easily do 12 eggs on a training day, maybe 6 eggs if I wasnt weight training/spinning. My appetite is dead right now, so 5 a day should do it! Ordered some new jeans last night, will probably be a tad tight...but motivation even more to drop down! |

I just got back from buying more organic eggs and Farmers Cheese. I read in a past posting that everyone was afraid to try Farmers Cheese. Personally, I had never had it either so for the price of $2.57 I bought a chunk. If you have not had it you are missing a treat. If you like Motzerella or Provolone you will like this cheese. The Farmers Cheese is very mild. I will have to discipline myself to not eat the whole chunk. It's definately going into my grocery cart from now on. And the good doctor says we can have it on Stillman's. Whahoo another food for variety
