Mrs. . I get a feeling very similiar except I feel like I need to be doing something. . which usually equates to eating. I think when we lose control over one aspect, we make up for it another way. The last 5 years of my life have been huge in the stress department and I finally realized (I caught myself doing it over and over) that when the stress got to be too much or when I was confused or couldn't figure something out, I grab something to eat. .whether I really like it or not. Some days major sugar. .some days.. more salt. but these days it is all meat, meat and more meat!!! and I can do so, guilt free!!! . .

Where do I begin? How will I ever catch up???? Ive missed the 3 most active days in Stillmans history here.!!! I cant wait to get to know all of you!!!!! Our group is the best and its getting even better!!

So, I'll start with me then back track through all the posts. I've sorta been on plan all week. Eating out of a hospital cafeteria was somewhat tough. Had bacon for breakfast, hamburgers, for lunch, grilled chicken for dinner....I still have a bad cold but the cough only hits at night. I did end up taking Nyquil for a few days, but found some Sugar-Free Robitussin for tonight. I weighed this morning and Im 127. Ive been on and off the wine this week too. So, no harm done, but I totaly should have done better......

I also picked up some Vitamin C today. Gotta boost up my immune system!!

Hi Everyone!

I just finished riding my exercise bike. I pushed myself to do 8 miles! Yesterday, I did 6. The crockpot is all cleaned out and ready to be fired up!

This Fat Fast is pretty difficult to keep with it, but I feel that it is not a bad start to kick off Stillman's QWL.

I just can't believe it is almost January 22nd. 2 more weeks!!

-Dustin

TeaLady - thanks for all the advice/suggestions!

danceruk - Welcome!

Shannon - You will love cooking with a slow cooker/crockpot. I use mine almost everyday!!

AL - I am so sorry about your friend. You must be a special friend to be staying at the hospital so much! I hope everything works out for both of you

IM2 - You are so funny! I am so glad you are here...you keep me on my toes with all of your recipes, etc.!!! I have got to try the BBQ chicken. I am wondering how it would taste in the crockpot. I am getting lazier with my cooking!!

Dustin - you are putting me to shame!! I just CANNOT get myself to exercise!!

Okay - so my nausea kind of turned into a really yucky feeling and I had four diet soft drinks I haven't had that much in a one day in a LONG time!!! But, I felt so queasy and that was all that would take the feeling away.

I was able to eat scrambled eggs - 5 of them I can't figure out why I have that yucky feeling in my tummy unless this is the strongest ketosis I have ever been in!! I am forcing myself to down my waters. Working on the fourth right now. It kind of makes me mad because I was doing so good with 5 or more a day! I am gonna try to push at least one more after this one down before bedtime! Which means I will be up visiting the potty a lot:blush:

Okay - Gang....Hope everyone is doing well!

Awww Thanks MS! As long as I'm not irritating the others! You so have to try the BBQ chicken. . I don't think I would do the slow cooker, though. You might be flicking off specks of stuff all day. . think of poor Al's onion chicken. . I really think it would be too soupy. . and I personally like to brown the chicken in seasoning salt on high before adding the sauce. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes. . remove cover and let the sauce thicken a bit before turning off heat. .. . I almost always add green peppers to this one too. I like the extra flavor. .I don't eat much of the sauce or any of the peppers... .the chicken is tender and tasty enough!

Just for the record, I ate the most I've eaten in a long time yesterday and I lost more than I ever have in one day. . I know its water but I love it!! Plus, I think some little rug-rat turned my scale back yesterday. . I won't tell if you don't. . funny how we can trick ourselves into believing just about anything!

I can. . because I bet we all did it, too! We should think of some other tricks to get them all to do. .hehehe. . like drink water until your pee is clear!! (those were the good ole' days for all you WW fans!) With the Doc. .that will never happen!!!

Speaking of crock pot recipes..... I made my garlic beef today....

Browned up 3 pounds of stew meat with lots of salt and pepper, added 6 whole cloves of garlic (easier to pull out later), a whole container of beef broth, and herbs de provence seasoning. Slow cook for 6-8 hrs. Talk about falling apart. mmmmm...mmmmmm....gooooood..... I eat it with the broth like a soup!

Finished off 5 waters!!! So, I had tons of liquid today if you count my diet drinks, waters, and my coffee. Gonna finish the night with some Candy Cane Lane hot tea!

AL - thanks for your encouragement and that garlic beef sounds phenom!!!

Shannon - AL is notorious for getting our mouth to water!!! So is IM2 - they are slow cooker queens!!

IM2 - I am excited for you!!! I am guessing you will below stats VERY SOON!!!

Okay - I just CANNOT lick my hand!! YUCK!! Maybe I am too scared of the smell - cause I know it ain't good!!!!

I am signing off for the night. Hoping for tons of snow tomorrow and maybe some extra sleep

msgirl - we are so having a water drinking contest tomorrow. Anyone else in?? IM2???? I'll match the 5 bottles, think you can do more...whos with me??????

shannon- I'll keep those recipes coming and hopefully others will add theirs.. you do know about the rotisserie chicken, right. Just throw the bird on aluminum foil balls (to keep it from sitting in its juice) season generously with salt and pepper or anything else that suits your fancy... turn it on and walk away... I usually let it go 6 hours... then, you can make soup with all the bones/juice!

Just a thought for anyone struggling over the first few days of Stillmans. Make sure you eat. Eat until you are FULL. Thats all I can say. If you stuff yourself with chicken you wont be able to stomach anything else!!! the 3 days will be over before you know it and you can bask in the excitement of weight loss, no cravings, and belly fat gone!!

You guys can do this!!!!!!

Looking at some of these menus, I wonder if I eat way too much.... I had 2 pork chops for lunch, 2 legs, wings, thighs of 3lb. chicken (no skin) and 2 cups of beef with broth for after supper dinner.....

no wonder I'm only losing 2 pounds a week.....

and I tried Stevia for first time today. had a funny aftertaste on my tongue......
