Ok! I did it. . I blew off all my co-workers and went to Tri-Cardio (as its so lovingly called. . ) OMG. . it kicked my butt. but I did like it. . Step Aerobics for 1/3 of the hour, Kick Boxing for 1/3 and bootcamp for the last 1/3. .I was losing my momentum toward the last 1/3 but at least I did it and was able to follow most of it. I might go back next week. .I can't afford to go every night at 6.50 a pop. but it can be my treat to myself (I must be nuts. .exercise = treat!! No Way!!) Tomorrow. . is my orientation day for the weight room and equipment.

And. .Al . .just as promised. .I made my Dr. appt today. .I go tomorrow at 1:30 - not for my real physical or anything (I told them it was to check up on my allergies, etc. . ). . but it is a huge step for me so I have to ease into it. I am not looking forward to stepping on their scales, either. . So.. I plan to ask for some bloodwork (thyroid check). .Anything else I should be asking or telling them? I really think this 2 month stall is too long. . I think it contributes to my little "cheats" along the way. . I feel like giving up when I don't see anything moving. Anyway. . on a positive note: One of the girls (who also works with me) in my class tonight told me that I really need to start wearing smaller clothes to work because she couldn't believe I was so small! I could have kissed her. .I know she was just being nice but it did make me feel a little better.said I wear too many flowing skirts, jackets and bulky sweaters! Such a hard habit to break. perhaps by summer..

OK . so if I come home and eat the Girl Scout Cookies tomorrow. .you will know I hate the Dr!! (my niece just delivered the 4 boxes I ordered before Christmas. . They look terrible. .

By the way. .I found my gingerbread tea at the Dollar General Store. . They also had a sampler pack with peppermint (good) Chamomile (good) . .Lemon Zinger (OK). . Raspberry. (haven't tried, yet). . and they are caf. free. . so won't keep me up all night. . MMmm. think I'll go try some!

I think I'm going to go to bed with these little thoughts (some stolen, of course!!)

Don't give up.
drink lots of water.
eat breakfast and never get hungry.
measure yourself in inches and weigh when you first start to see your progress.

Just want to say Good Mornings to all. I didn't weigh in this morning ( I am trying to break my daily weigher habit....soooo hard) but anyway... I just wanted to check in. I will be leaving for Florida Saturday morning (ProBowl baby!) so pray for me as far as meals are concerned. I know I will be eating out.. so probably will not be Stillmans style eating.. more Atkins -style eating because I won't be able to control fat the way I need to. But I am ok with that. As long as I stay low carb, I think I will be fine....chicken, steak, fish, and veggies here and there. That's what the plan is anyway. Then when I come back Tuesday morning... my new plan starts. I dont know if it is considered Stillmans still or not. I know its a Protein Sparing Modified Fast...which has very minimal fat (fat only in the fish oil that I will be taking with each meal)...but I do get veggies. Thats it. So hopefully I can still hang with you guys.

IM2- So are you!!!! You made it to the gym and worked it for an hour. Thats amazing!!! WTG!!!! How are the arms and legs today? So glad you made your dr appt too. I know its scary, but it will be so much better to have the results.

Morning, All! Surprisingly, I don't feel too bad today. .I felt worse after Zumba if truth be told. Of couse, I could have worked it a little harder but I was concentrating on getting the footwork down. I came into work this morning and had an email from my co-worker. . 5:30 kickboxing class. any takers? OMG. .is she trying to kill me? good thing I have my orientation appt or I'd have to go. .

Here's wishing everyone a fun-filled, carb free day! I'm on my 3rd bottle of water and 2nd Cup-0-Joe. . Ahh.. isn't life grand!

PS: I wore a tighter shirt to work today. Let's see if anyone notices! It's very unforgiving. . one of those kinds where you have to suck your stomach in and stand up straight all day! There won't be any cheating in this puppy!

Hey gang! Remember me? LOL

Im around again. Ive been on a hiatus of sorts. Been so much going on that I couldnt focus on dieting. I have in turn.. gained back 15 pds. .. seems like overnight. But really.. in about a 6 week span. Unbelievable. My life is still upside down but getting back on track. Lost 5 of the 15 so far. Im slowly getting back into Stillmans. Mostly doing more of Atkins.

Hi Im2! Congrats on going to Tri-cardio! And on making an app. with the Dr. You should def go to kick boxing--you're on a roll now!! You must have felt sooo brill when the co-worker said you looked so small-and in work-out clothes too! They really are the best compliments. Remember that feeling when C-bus rolls along!

Al-you can still come to Ireland-with your rain jacket! I'll show you all the places the good Dr. Still. would not like!!!

Am still sick--or should I say sick again All I had yesterday was a slice of toast and a boiled egg! It's not funny! On the bright side I haven't eaten anything today-haven't even drunk tea! so that should help with the weight-loss! But then haven't exercised for 3 days now--ok I'm just whingeing now!!

Im2 I just read about the Zumba in a celeb mag--apparently it's the next big thing in weight-loss----too much wiggling your backside for me---I don't think I should ever subject a room full of people to that!!!

Sick

So here is the verdict on me not feeling so hot the past three days(or maybe too hot!)

I was at my first patient of the days house and the RN in charge was there. I was doing my clinicals and all the sudden I started sweating really bad. I pushed through it and continued my clinicals. Next thing you know, I had to excuse myself to vomit! I came back in and she said I was as white as a ghost. ( I am always really white, but more than ever) She took my temp. and said it was 100.2 my usual temp is right around 95.7 to 96.8 (always low because I am severely anemic)
I was told to sanitize all the door knobs,light switches, the entire bathroom and anything i touched in the patients room and go home immediately. She said I def. have the flu.

And to think I thought I was sore because of all the exercise. Well needless to say, I ended up eating some dry toast.( only because I don't have saltines in the house) two slices since 8 a.m. it's the only thing that has kept me from vomiting up bile.

I'm not going to post a pic of my backside because of my cheating, I'm truly ill and need to settle my tummy and get rid of the aches and pains along with the fever so I can return to work.

As soon as I am feeling better I will go back to my strict stillmans challenge and I think I will follow either your 14 day eating plan Al or I might need to do whats called a pouch test. I had gastric bypass surgery done 11 yrs ago and that's why I wasn't concerned about the vomiting at first. It comes along with that certain procedure. I need to get in touch with the size of my actual pouch (use to be my stomach) It's a five day test and it is completely low carb.

But first thing first. me getting better! Thanks for the support everyone!

I am off to bed again! I feel so drained!

Im in Arizona still! My son was supposed to move here on Tuesday but there is a delay..and it was his 9th b'day too. My head is so foggy from everything.
I just remember... there are worst things in the world going on. One day at a time for me right now! Im trying to read all the posts and am so impressed!

And I scanned and saw Dustin is killing it.. so happy for him!

I havent gotten much further.. too many interruptions again .. interfereing with my online social life..LOL!

lisa, lisa lisa.... the flu is horrible! Pl;ease take care of yourself and get better soon. No worries about the toast, it totally doesnt count when we're sick. I will add that if a hot fudge sundae crosses your mind, I may need that pic.

Thank you for sharing your surgery exp. with us. I was wondering why you might get sick like that every once in a while, but I didnt want to ask too many questions.
